I didn't think about calling housekeeing! That is a good idea. I wonder why they don't have them by the pools like the other resorts. Oh well, my kids had fun and we were there with my DH's parents and so we took their extra towels (since they only needed 2). But next time, we will call housekeeping.

Re Towels all you have to do is ask housekeeping and they will keep you supplied. We always had plenty of towels for the pool. They do have somewhere to put wet towels by the pools. So no need to bring them unless you want to !!

When we stayed at Allstar Sports we just added the towel request to our tip envelope. The day we swam, I left a note on the envelope asking for extra towels, and they were waiting for us when we came in from the park that afternoon. We left the towels at the pool when we were through.

We stayed at Pop over Easter week and we are staying again over Christmas - I just love the resort. My question is: I know that they have "year" signs on the property (in ___ year, this happened)... Does anyone know if they are in chronological order or if they are randomly placed. I was enjoying taking the kids pics in front of the big statues that I failed to notice the other signs. I would love to take some pics of my kids in front of their birth year this trip.

The signs are in chronological order. They start with 1950 in the 50's section along the path by the lake. Follow the path all the way to the 70's parking lot where they end with 1999. The signs are 2-sided with one year on each side of the sign. I think the path is actually called Memory Lane...if my memory is right! They are interesting. We took pictures of each of us by our birth years.

I'm leaving Fri for WDW. Being a Castaway member (DCL)I received a special offer for $59 a night. Couldn't pass it up.

Two weeks ago I stayed at SOG. I love it there. But, this was a short notice booking. SOG was booked up.

I've stayed at All Star, AKL, CSR & even Seralogo just outside the World.

Great thing in the Summer is after hours for people staying at the Resorts. You get on rides you normally can't get on. I also plan on doing some backlot tours.

This was a very informative site. Especially Tylers info in the front. Thank you everyone.

DCL - Disney Cruise Line
When you go on a cruise with Disney they make you a castaway club member. It gives you many perks for the next cruise. Every once in awhile they come up with other deals.

Also, if you get an Annual Pass for WDW there are numerous discounts available.

Hi all
Just back from aweek in Disney (July17-23) at POP we loved it!
we stayed in room 3439 (in 50's top floor) nice room, quiet and had great maid service. We left her mousekeeping envelopes and she left us towel creatures that were adorable. The rooms are not really much smaller than those in POR where we stayed last year. We got the mugs to refill too and had no trouble getting what we wanted. The pools do not have towels but the maids will give you extra ones if you ask. We got a fridge for only $10 a day the only thing was it has no freezer. If you want to take frozen water to the parks you can drop off a bag of them at lugguage and they will freeze it and just pick it up on the way to the buses to the parks. The pools are clean and warm
we learned
- fast passes do not expire and you can use them all day
-dream squad was at Peter Pan ride two days in a row at about 9:30 am
-if you ask the photographers to take "magic" pictures they take a shot with your child holding out their hands and when you see it the child is holding Tinkerbell! if they tell you no just ask the next photographer and get it
-your welcome package has a free 5x7 picture coupon in it

At this time next week we'll be waiting for the rope drop at MK. I cannot wait. We've been watching Disney movies and travel shows last week in anticipation.

Even my 2 yr old is excited. Every morning she wakes up and ask's "Mickey's House?"

Now, if only I could get everything caught up at work . . .

There was one Cm however that I saw giving one guy a hard time for being a little late and she told him he would have to get anohter one and wait till its time or wait in line From what I recall he was not very late either.

I'm such a scaredy cat that I wouldn't have the nerve to show up after my fastpass time had expired. I would be so bummed if they didn't let us in, that I just don't want to chance it. But I had heard on other threads though, that CMs were being more strick about the return time.

Just booked a stay at Pop for Nov 20-25 last night We were just in WDW for our wedding 3 weeks ago and they give you APs when you book your wedding there, so we want to get another trip in before our APs expire

on our last trips we could use our FP anytime the rest of that day. we've never had a problem with this before. also there were 2 people in our group that couldn't find theirs and the cm let us all go in.
