you could see it from the 50's building number 3. It was great waking up in the moring and looking out and seeing Epcot. Also we could see the fireworks from our room too.

We have a tripped planned for WL for 12/08. I couldn't stand the wait so I planned our first value resort stay for 12/07 at POP. I've heard such good things about POP, the price is great. So good that I got DDP for our stay. Oh by the way...no one tell my husband or son , it's a surprise. I plan on paying the trip off with my overtime. I'll tell him when it's paid off .

Ok.....I know I have a lot of reading to do. I have never been to a Value Resort, but have booked a trip for DD and I in October and are staying at POP.

The 50's building that you can see EPCOT from is not a prefered building, just standard. Atleast the rooms we were in were not prefered.

Does anyone have any room pics, the ones on Deb's don't show the bathroom area very well. Is there a curtain between the sink area and the room???

There is not a curtain between the bathroom area and the room. At the far end of the room there is a indented area with a sink, open closet and to the side a door that opens to the shower and/or tub, and toilet. I'll see if I have any photos.

It seems all my POP photos are on discs and not on my hard drive. This is a photo from ASMo but you get the idea, same layout different colors.

declansdad-when are you headed back? I really enjoyed your pictures from your previous trips. I know your son has grown so much since then. I always appreciated seeing the pictures of POP, since that's kind of our favorite.

We are going back in August. We have booked 8 nights at Pop and 2 at AKL. We can't wait and I am glad you enjoyed the pictures. It make me happy that people do enjoy them.

2angelsinheaven-I like them all! I get on here everyday and it just makes me feel so good to see family and friends sharing these wonderful memories together. I am a teacher in a school with a 76% poverty rate, so I see a lot of not so happy things daily. I see some really crummy family situations for the kids, and it just does my heart good to see the pictures of the kids on these boards being so loved and so nurtured. I see families who laugh together and act silly and just enjoy being around each other. We talk back and forth on these boards as friends, even though our paths will likely never cross, and we share our enjoyment of a place that just gives me such a good feeling. We celebrate the birthdays, proposals, and anniversaries, and we share each others' trips. We watch people's kids grow up in pictures, and we know them, even though we never meet them. We listen to a little griping about some of the imperfections, but we minimize those in favor of the good that our trips bring. We care for each other when we read posts about heartaches or illnesses. It's just a bright part of my life to enjoy these boards, so I love looking at all the pictures. I read for several years before I ever posted. Then I posted on my daughter's name for a while, but rarely. Then, she and I both just gave in and "joined the family", as I got my own name (MeMom is what my grandmother name is, although since my first is only five months old, she has never actually spoken it before). Posts just like yours, offering to take requests, are what I am referring to. This is just a kind place to hang around. If someone's child has lost their favorite Minnie doll, someone will post that they are going and offer to send one. People send postcards to other people's kids from Mickey, telling them that Mickey just can't wait for them to arrive! How exciting that is for those kids. Just all kinds of little things like that make me enjoy the Disboards. This is just a feel good place for me. I will enjoy any and all of your pictures. We're scheduled to be at POP in July, and since I'm turning 50 while I'm there, we requested the 50's Lady building, just for fun. My daughter and granddaughter and I are going back in December, because I've never been at Christmas. We're going to stay at All-Star Music then. Have fun on your trip. We will look forward to hearing back from you and seeing all the pictures you care to share.

Thanks so much for this thread! We are going to try to get back to WDW this summer. This would be our second trip. First was at WL. I was nervous about Pop, but I'm feeling lots better after all the info and good reports!

Woo-Hoo, it's official! We had pretty much decided to go back to the POP, but was waiting for my sister to see if she was coming so if I had to have one of my nephews in my room, she confirmed therefore I offially made my ressie today! The CM was very nice, he guaranteed me that my rooms were connecting, told me not to worry at all about it being non-smoking, that it would be. I mentioned that we would love to stay again in the 50's, but that I knew it was only a request(so we'll see). I'm just happy that we're going back!!

I got my ressie in a email and next to standard room it has this (GA), does anyone know what this means?

Anywoo, I'm excited, can't wait til March!!

I am so jealous that your sister is going with you, my sister and her family had planned on going with us this Feb., but money just wasn't there for them to go. We are going with out them, but we will be thinking of them everyday we are there. I hope you have a great time with your family.
