I asked about getting to Sea World from Pop and someone suggested to take the bust to the ticket & info center and then take the city bus it cost about 5.00 versus a taxi for 20? Has anyone ever done that?!

We stayed at the Pop a few weeks ago. We took a cab from the Pop to SW. It was $25. There were 5 of us and a stroller so it was very convenient. Cabs were waiting outside both places so we just walked up to the curb.

We left the Pop at 8:10 and arrived at SW by 8:30. It opened at 9, but they let you in a short distance before then. We were able to be in the first group for dolpin feeding.

Glad they credited you. I had wondered that.
The luggage thing must me a new problem as in the past there has been very few complaints

We just came home from our 2nd stay at POP and it was great with the luggage. It was in the room within 2 hours....Sorry you had such a bad experience!

Overall we loved POP and I wanted to mentionif you have down time walk over to the lake and the bridge. When looking into the lake from the bridge we saw loads of turtles (fish too). Lots of fun the kids loved it!

We were in the 70's this time and really enjoyed it!

Have fun!

Thats not bad at all. I am looking for cab service to/from WWoS for our stay during Pop Warner week. 12/7-12/12. If it was $25 to SW. Then it can't be that bad to WWoS, cause it is very close to POP.

We will be at the Pop Century for 3 weeks this November. Our DD will have just turned 5 yrs and although we do not use any kind of pushchair at home, we have decided to buy one to use during our trip. We intend buying a cheap pushchair/stroller when we arrive in Florida.
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a Wall-Mart close to the Pop. I have been on the web site but i'm not sure which one is closest and easiest to find.

Well, the Walmart I know of is about 5 miles away.....according to mapquest.........from Pop you would turn left on Century Drive, right onto Victory Way, right onto E Buena Vista, then take the ramp towards the airport and merge onto Epcot Center Drive which becomes Highway 536 East. Turn right on Apopka Vineland and it's less than a mile up that street.

anyone taken an early morning cab from POP to Ft Wilderness? We have an 8:30 AM Segway Tour scheduled. Wondering how long it took and what the price may be?

I did also notice when we were there they had stollers in the gift shop to buy at POP, but did not notice the price. Does anyone know how much they are? Might be better then all the running to Walmart and such. Does anyone know if they are still doing the stroller swaps, this might also be an option.

I need help:confused: We are Planning on Being In DW June 28th to the 12 of July(two weeks) and It looks more and more like we will be at POP. Here Is my Problem, we stay at POP this past April and like it for what we use it for SLEEP.Last year we stay at POR and used It for the very same thing, but me and my DS(15yo) love It:love: so much more and I keep on going back and fourth between the two, wich one to pick. I can not tell you why eather?:confused3 :rotfl: It could be It was our frist WDW resort we stay in:sad2: but I keep on trying to see how to strap my self so we can stay at POR:rotfl2: . POP was nice and we enjoy It so that will probally be our choice I guess I just ned some one to say I ammaking the right choice LOL:happytv: .Thanks for LIstening:)

We stayed at POR the first time and the next time this yr we stayed at POP.. I love POR but to pay that extra money to sleep i would rather save that money and spend it on stuff for me at the shops...lol... That is my reasoning for staying again this winter at POP instead of trying another MOD and hubby agreed .....

What's the deal with the refillable mug? How much does it cost, what does it look like, etc? Is it worth it or should I skip it? Can you refill it at the parks as well or just POP? Thanks!:goodvibes

The refillable mugs are for the resort only for length of stay! They are an excellent value as you can refill them anytime as often as you want . They cost about $14 and also make a nice souvenir to take home . You canget soda, coffee , tea , iced tea, lemonade and hot chocolate at Pop you can also get applejuice and Icees !!If you are on ddp you can save your bottled water or spots drink for the park saving you more money !! We always get one !!

Hi everyone. I'm staying at POP next year! Can't wait!

I wanted to ask about luggage. I'm flying to Sanford, so cant use the ME. My flight home is not until 17:15, and I don't want to be carrying around my luggage all day. Will POP hold it for me while I go to a park, and let me collect them before I leave for the airport?

If not, is there another option for me to be able to go and spend the last day in a park, without all my luggage?! lol

Yes, they will hold it for you in luggage services until you are ready to leave. You can either take it down or have them come up and get it.

Hello everyone! Its taken me two weeks but I have read through this entire thread and am sooo excited about our upcoming stay at Pop in Nov.(free dining too).

Thank you so much for all the good info and resort reviews. I knew exactly what to request for our room location and all the neat and unique sights to explore.

Our dates are 11/15-11/20. It will be myself, DD and DGD. This will be our first time staying value. We stayed at POFQ in July and really enjoyed that (usually its SOG for us) so we decided as long as we can get pin codes and other discounts we would like to try a variety of Disney resorts. We love SOG and its an incredible value but you do miss the "magic" you feel in a Disney owned resort.

Now if we can have a little pixie dust, the Christmas decorations will be up at the resorts as well as the parks(never been to WDW during the holidays either).

Love this thread:love: .

Does anybody have a recent picture of the mugs?
I think the first page has a link to a picture of them

Great value. We didn't get one the first visit, and we ended up buying pop out of the machines a few times and we were on the dining plan as well. This past year I got one and would have juice or lemonade each morning. I think I drank 2-3 each morning before heading to the parks. DH thought it was a rop off till I told him that once you bought the cup, you didn't pay for the beverages. So the second day he bought one for himself. He had coffee each morning. Then we would fill them up once or twice each evening as well. Sometimes more. I must say I did share mine with my 3 YO too.

Hi everyone I hate to bring up "that other park" on the DIS but does anyone know if the Mears shuttle goes from Pop to Universal Studios? In 2005 there was one to and from ASSp but I don't know if the same applies to Pop.

Thanks!!:cool1:

On Saturday I returned from a week at the World/Pop and a week on the Disney Magic. I saw the black and red stollers in many gift shops throughout the World, and I remember it was either $99 or $130. Wide range, I know, but those were two numbers I recall seeing for one thing or another that took me by surprise.

Sorry I missed the Lime Lights DIS Meets!!! I was walking out of the room one night on my way down, and before the door closed, I realized it was already Thursday!! :upsidedow So I missed you guys on Wednesday evening.

I also had issues with luggage. My flight arrived at 1:00 pm, and when I got back to the resort at 10:30, it was not in my room. It took them awhile to locate 2 pieces as well. There were several other people with similiar stories as mine waiting for assistance.

As we've all discussed here in terms of requesting a room, I did it "by the book". However, I didn't get even near what I asked for. I didn't raise a stink about it though. I thought it was maybe just a new opportunity to experience the resort differently than planned. I was actually quite glad I did. I was in building 6 the 70's with a lakeview. I was in the far-most room on the second floor in 6236, which made it easy to use the stairs. It was a wonderful location and honestly not a far walk all from Classic Hall. Some nights I even walked from the bus stops through the 90's parking lot and it was quick as well.

I took many pictures to further enhance Post #1 that we don't have photos of yet, which I'll also put up on the Pop Picture thread. However, I haven't gotten around to that yet. :) During my visit, I also made note of a few things that need modified in Post #1, but they were not signficant items. So you can expect to see some good modifications to Post #1 in the near future.

Why don't I often read about people staying in the 80's or 90's section?

I was thinking that the section closer to the parking lot would be closer to the buses? Am I way off here?:confused3

Kimberley I have requested 60s or 70's this time I have been in 60's and in 50's So I'll be happy with either !! Will be looking for new things on Page 1

Really? They used to be about $40. When I was there in May I was on the bus one afternoon and it was just my DD & I, an other mom and her DD and a couple and their DD. The couple was saying they had wished they brought a stroller and the other mom said she was leaving early the next morning and she would sell them her stroller (the black/red one she bought at the gift shop) for $20.
