Just a comment on AAA ! I have an extremely nice helpful and friendly TA at AAA. She always recognizes me says "Hi Rosie " and goes outof her way to hwlp . Never once have I felt like I was bothering her .If she isn't there the other staff are also very nice and friendly !!I just couldn't not comment so peopleknow it is NOT all AAA TA's who are unhelpful!! I have gone in there with codes and they have always been excited for me . My TA says she learns more about Disney from me than anywhere else!!

My guess would be in the $15 range for a cab ride to POP from CR. I would highly recommend the cab if you don't mind spending the money. On my last trip I took 3 cab rides. It was the first time I EVER took a cab at WDW in the 40+ trips I have taken. I took one home from the Boardwalk. ($10) One from DHS to DTD ($8) and another back to POP from DTD ($12) The last two were on our last day and we had to get back to meet our ME bus. The cabs helped us maximize our times in the park and our shopping and got us back in plenty of time without having to allow a lot of wiggle room. The boardwalk cab we took after dinner at Spoodles one late night. After a full day in the parks I just could not bear to bus hop and it was worth every penny!

We were told that a cab from POP to the Fort Wilderness Campground would be $15 - $18 (we called the cab company). Seems like a cab from the Contemporary to POP would be about the same distance.

Just took a van/cab (there were 5 of us) from Pop to Contemporary on 9/11...can't remember the exact fare but I gave the driver a $20 and told him to keep the change!

I agree, and you can also get the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with no sauce, or with tomato sauce. You can get pasta (red or white sauce) or a salad on the side.
Just tell the server what combo you want, as opposed to ordering a number off the sign. They are usually good about customizing.

I also liked the turkey mom's night out dinner. Only available certain nights.
And the nachos supreme, which are made to your specifications. Mmmm...

They are really good about making things the way you want them. One guy wanted double potatoes and no green beans on a Mom's night out dinner, and they did it.

You are making hungry for Pop Cent. food. LOL

I have a wonderful AAA agent...I've used her for the last 5 years. She is so great that she sends gifts to our room for us. We've taken 3 cruise in the last 3 years...twice we've recieved ship board credit and on a one a really nice frame and photo album. She has also sent Disney gift cards to our room at the resort for us to use.

Sorry you got such a "bad" agent, maybe next time try a different AAA office in your area.

WOW what a great thread All the information on that first page is awesome!
We stayed at POP just after it opened in Dec.2003 and I just booked us a room there for this Dec. with the new codes that just came out the other day We are now staying at POP for less than we were paying to stay off grounds and were back at POP When I mentioned this to DD 14 she was so excited, she said "Mom, I LOVE Pop Century." We're very excited to be staying at POP in just 83 days

I also agree on the Crusted chicken w/penne I also got it one day with the red sauce instead of the white it was just a s good that way too! I had to ask though!

When getting a cab. Are they usually outside the main entrance or do you have to call for one ahead of time. I am hedging on renting a car for Pop Warner week and need to get back to/from WWoS complex. If they are available regularly then do you think it will be cheaper then renting a car for a week.

If you are going to be doing alot of back and forth, I would get a car. You find cars for cheap.

You are not overreacting, I have dealt with AAA various times and it seems everytime I call they are never overly friendly and don't go out of their way to help the customer. They actually act like you're bothering them. Hello, you are getting paid to do this so be nice! I keep using them though because its worth it for the discounts.

I think it just depends on the agent. I have used a couple. The first one was good, but slow to get back to me as she was so busy, and when I call I want answers now! or at least the same day. I had her quote me two other trips and she was so slow to get back that I went with our local agency. She was great too. And that agency was nicer all around.

I think the nachos supreme were about the nastiest thing I have ever eaten. I thoguth the meat toppings/sauce was just pure gross. I actually threw it away and have heard a few others make this coomment too. If I ever got nachos again there it would just be with the cheese and forget the meat. I just couldn't beleive anyone could screw up nachos that bad.

We've gotten drinks there. It's convenient. We've also sat a table there while the kids played. Fits the mood of the whole pool area.

Try the Orange dream at the poolside bar. Had two of those just the other day, and they are soooooooo good.

Sorry... I forgot to check there. I thought I read somewhere else that it was 3 and here it says 4. I just want to make plans for an evening ADR and want to have enough time.
