I'm staying at POP in Oct. I'll be flying Southwest, but I won't have my laptop with me to check in for my return flight home. Will they check me in and print my boarding pass somewhere at the resort?

I printed mine at Epcot Center when you first enter the park. I keep wanting to call it the customer service center, but that is not what it is called. I am sure that someone at check in of the resorts would print it for you. The young girl who helped me and my mom at Epcot was so nice.

We just spent a week at Pop.

A few Quick Comments:

We were in our room in to sleep and take a nap. That's why we chose this place. So we barely used the pool, didn't talk to alot of CM's, ate at the Pop only twice. So that being said:

We enjoyed our stay because:
1. Jennifer was a great Mousekeeper! Room was clean, even folded son's blankie! Stopped by our last morning to wish us a safe trip and just had to meet our family because our window was so cool!
2. Room was exactly where we asked for it to be. 4th floor, 9465 With Rubix Cube. We could see the pool and the lake. It was close to the buses (as far as close goes in Disney Hotels). It was quiet, no problems.
3. Went down for coffee & drinks in morning in jamies, but they were T-shirt & cute pj pants, you probably didn't notice they were jamies! THey also had actual cream for coffee :goodvibes
4. Used laundry, got 4 peoples clothes from 3 days in two loads, but divided it into 3 so it would dry quicker.
5. Bus wait was mimimal if that. Very low waits except for when we went to DD & TL (which uses same bus) but we accounted for that. We know they do not have as many buses running this route.
6. Be warned that you are usually the last or close to last bus stop at parks, but once again they ran quickly and if there was alot of people a second bus would be there while the first was still loading.
7. Chicken Penne Pasta was good! So were the frozen Cokes. We ate breakfast there only our last day. It was busy, but just eat outside, it's much calmer.
8. We survived without a fridge. Thought about getting one, but glad I did not. My kids are 9 & 11. I got drinks in morning. I was usually up first anyways and I enjoyed early walks as it was very quiet. When we came back in the afternoons we would get drinks again. At night, maybe it would have been nice just to have a drink without walking but we lived. In fact one night my hubby did get a coke from the vending machine.
9. I felt the beds were comfy. Of course I was tired and would have slept on cement at the end of the day!

Overall, I would recommend the Pop. It is much more vibrant and uppaced. And if you are plannnig on relaxing and slower paced, it may not be. But it was great for us!

That's great to know that I can definitely have it printed there. Thank you for the info. :)

:thumbsup2 I'm glad to read this!! We check in on Monday the 15th and I'm so excited to go!! :cool1:

Did your mousekeeper do any decorating in your room with towels or in the window? Just curious.

I thought the pillows were fine but the beds were too stiff. Also, we got a wake-up call for today [we left at 5 am and asked for one at 4:30] and didn't get one until 4:45. Good thing I heard my phone alarm!

We only got one small one in our window and then another on our last day. It was kind of disappointing because I remember when they used to do ones without all the stickers and they left them all over the place!

Just wanted to let you know that we flew Southwest and DH went down 24hrs before our flight to Pop's Customer Service Desk (I don't think it is called that but I can't think of what else to call it. Anyone?) and they printed out our passes for us.

Forgot to add this!

On our second day, we were Mousekeepings Family of the Day! We recieved turn down service with chocolates, a magnetic frame and a certificate! It was nice! We did recieve a bunny?? Some kind of animal and Onde day we came back to our room with a nice note from Jennifer and a balloon flower for me and balloon swords for our kids! She also wrote on our dry erase board and made a special trip to our room as we packed to wish us a safe trip and just wanted to put faces to our names. She was great!

People are commenting on the wake up calls and asking for calls... Did you call down to the front desk to have a wake up call or did you program it into the phone? When I went last in 07, and even in 06, I set the alarm on the alarm clock, but I also programmed the wake up call into the phone. That's when I got Stitch and it TERRIFIED me! :scared: I came home and told my DN that it was a villain of some sort... I hung up before Mickey could even get to the phone because I was shaking in my bed! Then in 07 I knew it was coming, and I wasn't quite so scared.:rotfl:

I also had the stitch wake up call & was a little freaked out by it first thing in the morning! LOL!:rotfl:

Got back yesterday from 10 days at Pop! I really enjoyed it! We were pool facing in the 60's building and loved it! Dh did get awaken around 4am one morning by some teenagers playing chicken in the pool...The only complaint about Pop was there pillows are terrible (bring your own) and beds (wish you could bring your own) weren't so great. Are considering moderate just for this reason (it will be awile)$$$ DS in another room actually folded a towel to use as a pillow! I found the Mousekeeping adequate, and all the CM's on property very nice. DS6 fell off that very high bed and when I called down to request bedrails they were brought up right away. I know it's here somewhere, but I want to make sure.....DS had a medical problem (he's fine) and the front desk gave me Turner drugs number and the delivered the medcine for $5!! It was there the next morning. Loved my vacation!!

Do they charge for bedrails?

Do they charge for bedrails?
Hopefully jinia can tell you for sure, but my guess is that since it probably qualifies under a safety and/or health issue, they're free. Most things that are needed for medical or safety purposes are provided free of charge, and they do everything they can to meet room requests for related needs.

Just got back from a week stay and I was extremly disappointed with Mousekeeping. The room hardly got cleaned and there was trash behind the bed side table [a lot of it!] from who knows when! There was also this huge sticky gross spot under the sink that could have been cleaned. Also we had 2 beds when we only needed one. I called to find out why we had two [I was under the impression we would have only 1] and they told us we couldn't have 1 bed and they only had those for handicapped people. That's a bit silly to me, why waste a bed on people who aren't going to be using it?
So sorry to hear about your Mouskeeping problem! We've always found our rooms to be well kept, so you must have just gotten unlucky :sad1:

As for the beds thing, the issue is that the most common "need" is for 2 double beds. Therefore, the majority of the rooms are two double beds, and they don't/can't easily reconfigure the beds in the rooms.

Oh, and a side note, I love your signature picture! Your husband is a lucky guy ;)

Welcome back! :teeth: I don't know if they do this or not, but they really should have at least one Cast Member or security guard patrolling the resort to stop this kind of thing and to keep an eye on things. The pools are supposed to be closed at midnight, so they shouldn't have been doing that.

Hi guys! I'm not staying at Pop on this trip, but I'm considering booking bounceback there for next year.

I wanted to answer that bedrail question if I may, and then ask one of my own.

I have bedrails for our upcoming trip, and there is no additional charge, much like if you were to get a pack and play for your child.

Okay, here's my question. I've looked at the resort map. I know we'll be booking a preferred room, because one member of our travel party needs to be in close proximity to things (trouble walking distances and uses an ECV at the parks). We did stay in the 60s building last year, and we were just a few doors down from the Playdoh on the fourth floor. Although that was a fun place to be, and very convenient, it was also very noisy, because we were directly across from the Hippy Dippy Pool.

If I wanted to be in that same building, but not across from the pool, how would I word my request?

Preferred room, 60s building, NOT opposite a pool?

Just curious what the best way is to go about that. And if you have any suggestions as to other locations that would be better, feel free. I know there's some preferred in 50s and 70s as well, so I'd love your opinions. :goodvibes

Yep, as others have said, you can have them do the check in and printing at any Guest Services....in the parks, in DTD, or at any resort (doesn't need to be the one you stayed in, so if you are at a resort for a meal at your 24 hour mark, just use that one).

If you don't want to carry around the printout, just have them check you in online at Southwest....and then when you get to the airport you can print out your boarding pass (works too if you have a cell phone with internet you can check in on the phone and print the pass at the airport.....also works if you did print it out but lost it...nope, not me, never).

So were the frozen Cokes.

Anyone know if the frozen cokes are a part of the refillable mug selection? And are they only seasonal (we're going in November). This is probably my biggest vice (yeah, I'm boring).....so I'm not sure if I should be hoping I can use my mug and have frozen coke every day....of if I should be praying that it's only seasonal and/or not mug selection.....so that I won't even be tempted to pay for one!

You can use the mugs on the frozen coke machines. The problem has always been, are they frozen yet? They seem to be very popular. I don't think they are seasonal but I'm not 100% on that.

Great info. :) Thank you so much for letting me know. Now, that's one less thing to worry about. :)
