I have a question about shipping food/diapers ect... We will be arriving Friday April 25th, is it too soon to ship our stuff, or when should I do it. We plan on using Costco or target or some store. Any recommendations on stores would be great too!!! (No costco's in our area, so not sure what they are like.) Thanks for the help!

Did you consider using www.gardengrocer.com ? We ordered our food and diapers from there in August. It saved me the hassle of doing the shopping and having to take it to be shipped. You'll have to look into it soon to secure your day and time. I highly recommend it!

Thanks for the info. SOunds like a good show to watch. I've set the DVR for Thursday at 5. Did you see the new one with Samantha Brown last Friday? There will be another new one with her this Friday, too.

Is that on the Travel channel?

Like someone else already said the resort will hold a package for you for 2 weeks. Be sure to put the name your reservation is under and your arrival date on the shipping label.

I have had good luck ordering from www.gardengrocer.com for water, snacks, fruit and even sunscreen so I don't have to worry about it in the suitcase. You set up a delivery date with them.

I also like www.minimus.biz for travel size items. They ship for free with a $20 order. I order toiletries and snacks from them. They have a great selection of individual bowls of cereal. They are in the west coast so I would order before Wednesday if you decide to get something from them.

Great info! I may look into this for water and lil things for our trip! Thanks:thumbsup2

The "Season of Disney" specials on the next few Friday nights with Samantha Brown are indeed on the Travel Channel. The "What You Get for the Money: Walt Disney World" show is on Fine Living Channel with Tracy Gallagher. :)

Looks like we will be adding 3 nights at Pop! Where are the vending machines located? Are they near the elevators?
I don't remember seeing vending machines. :confused3 :confused3 You can get any kind of snack stuff at Everything Pop. It's where the shopping and food court is located.:goodvibes

I know there was pop machines, but never paid attention to wether they had ones with candy/chips. But If I remember right the pop was kind of expensive in the machine and you may be better off getting a refillable mug. I did that this year, and was so glad I did. It was 13 for the mug, but I filled it a zillion times through out our stay.

Well that's the plan, but I know when DS goes to bed I will want something to drink (probably because I know I can't go get a drink ), so if there's a machine to get a drink from that will make things easier.

There's so many different things to worry about when you travel alone with a 4 yr old!

Is the mug only refillable at POP or can you refill it at any location throughout Disney?

Only at pop. But I think I filled it 2-4 times each morning. I always filled it before getting ion the bus to the park, and then I filled it a few times in the evening, or when ever we came back. A better deal than paying 2 bucks each time I wanted a drink. DH even bought one the second day. He was amazed we were charged each time we refilled. He would get his morning coffee, and then switch to wahtever afterwords.
The year before we didn't get one, and we could kick ourselves now.

I absolutely love the refillable mug!! I usually eat breakfast at the resort, so I fill it at least twice then, and again before the bus comes, and again when I come back to the resort, and then at night I fill it multiple times. It is a good investment, IMHO>

I definitely think it's a good investment. Some folks say if you are on DDP is isn't worth it, but really it CAN be. If you fill your mug with your meal, you can take your bottled drink to the park so it's less you have to buy there. JMO.

YES marciemouse, we got 4 water bottles from ebay for about $2 each before our trip last summer--they each had their own little filter. they worked GREAT!!! we refilled each with ice water at least 3-4 times a day --sometime ourselves at fountain drink stations at CS places in parks and we also asked at each TS meal for our server to refill with ice water for ice! (we are HUGE water drinkers).
check ebay for water bottles!!

i have read several places about the idea of tying a balloon above the AC unti at POP to keep the AC running overnight and during the day when there is not any human "movement" in the room to keep the air on...
where is the cheapest place to buy such a balloon in "the world"? does the store at pop sell them??
