OK all you Pop experts. Got a question for you.

We are driving in a rental car and should be arriving at Pop around 11-12 noon. We need to return the car to the T&TC car rental office that afternoon. We have an ADR for the Grand Floridan Cafe at 5:00 pm, and want to do the Magic Kingdom the first day.

So, my question is this, what's the best way to do that? Check in at Pop, get our passes to the park and then head over to the car rental return. Then, how do I get to the MK, and how long do I need to leave to get over to the GF? Do I take the Monorail or a boat or a bus? Then, getting back to the MK, is it the same way?

At the end of the night, EMH, we can just get a bus from MK to POP, and the bags should be in the room (if it wasn't ready when we arrived).

Did I miss anything?

Thanks,

Jack

I would check in at Pop and purchase passes etc. then take the car back to the TT&C and catch the monorail from their to MK then you can get the resort monorail from MK to GF! If you take the Monorail I would say 20 min should be plenty time!

It might be where you live...Around here the chili dogs are always served with mustard. Never heard of them not being served that way. Ketchup is the no no. And they are dang good! I think Mustard makes its.

I thought the meat sauce for the nachos supreme was really gross ,but I liked everything else about them.

I think you have to pick your bags up yourself if you are dropping them off earlier than check in. I think bags are only delivered to your room if you are using ME.
Correct me if I am wrong....anyone....

I was wondering for all of those that have stayed here before, we have requested the 50's section and looking at the map I would say that the Tramp corner across from the lake would be a good view for the fireworks from epcot. Any thoughts about that and anywhere else would be good? We are only staying in standard though. Also what floor would anyone suggest?
Thanks

I wish!! Unfortunately, they have never had them when I have been there.

I also liked the chicken dinner and the meatball sub. DH liked the chicken alfredo. There is another Parmesam crusted chicken dinner you can get with a huge salad that is good too.

Does anyone know if they still have the chocolate chip pancakes at Pop?

When we were there in August they did not have any chocolate chip pancakes...but that does sound delicious...chocolate and pancakes make a good mix...

They had the chocolate chip pancakes in early August. We were just in Disney a few weeks ago and since we had a car this time, we drove to AS Movies for breakfast one day - they still have the chocolate chip pancakes......yum!!!

Hi everyone,

I have a question for the Pop experts here. I'm planning a trip with my three best friends for October. My friends haven't been to Disney since they were little, so I want everything to be perfect. Of course, we're all in our early 20s and broke. :rotfl: If the four of us book one room at Pop, are we going to be ready to kill each other at the end of three days?

We simply ask for 50s section, Illumination view, 3rd or 4th floor. It has worked for us both times we stayed at Pop.

Hi everyone!
Great thread!!!! We just booked a last minute trip to Pop for DS's 5th birthday!!!! This is our first time at Pop and are excited to try it!!

Anyone here back in the last week or so?? I am wondering if they are still offering a Bounceback Deal that includes December dates?? :flower3:

Thanks!

We requested Illuminations view and when we checked in they had us in the 70's section.:confused3 :confused3 (I have never had my room request honored) So we very patiently and nicely asked for a room #2450-2460 and we were given Room #2458. Fourth Floor is best for the Illuminations view. While the room was not perfectly clean (mold in bathroom), we did have a very nice Illuminations view every night. A warning: The room is pretty far (appx 150 yards) from the Buses/Food Court so be prepared to walk after a long day at the parks. One bonus is that it is very quiet on that side of the building.
Good Luck!

When we went in 12/05, we requested Lady and the Tramp (50's) and ground floor, because i was 8 months pg! And we put that on the reservation too! we got put way in the back, farthest away from EVERYTHING, and on the 4th floor. :confused3 I figured it was because we checked in right in the middle of Pop Warner, so figured room requests were hard to work then. For our trip this month, we requested a lake view, so we'll see.

Ok, so here is my question:

I didn't know that I was supposed to put my room request on my original reservation. People have said to give it then, or call like 5 days before your reservation. Will they more likely honor it if I give it early or late? Should I give it now or wait until closer to my trip? I am going June 10-14th.

I would call now and have it added your your reservation! And then about 4-5 days before you leave FAX them. Do not call, as it is said there is a cahnce the message will never get to the room assigner. When you fax, put it to Attention Room Assigner.
I put a sample of what I faxed a few pages (or more:confused3 ) back. It would've been the end of Feb when I faxed. I gto EXACTLY what I asked for.

We were just there over our Spring Break and yes they had Chocolate chip Pancakes.

Does anyone have any suggestions on request for the preferred section? I asked for upper floor when I made my reservations.

Ok, now do I call Disney reservations or Pop? Which number?

Did you enjoy your stay? I remember you said you were nervous about staying there after the Poly, btw, I loved that trip report. I hope you'll be posting another one! :)
