The drinks are just outside the cashiers in POP so you don't have to wait in line. I think they are worth it the only thing is you cannot refill them in the parks...also I think it depends on which one you get on if they can be filled at any resort...the one I have says 2007 but can be refilled at any resort, a friend of mine was in WDW in February 2007 and she bought one that said POP century on it and could only be filled at POP Century...the mug cost about $12.99 each but if you figure a soft drink or juice to cost between $1 and $2 and get 2 or 3 a day for 7 or more days then it is definitely worth it...also they are good when you get home as well...I use mine at work at my desk everyday for water instead of buying bottled water all day...

This will be my 1st trip to POP Century, but at POR and ASMu neither juice nor milk was included in the refillable mugs...however, most other drinks were...sodas, minute maid lemonade, coffee, hot choc., tea, etc. Most 20 oz drinks were around $2.25 and the 32 oz were about $2.50...and milk & juice run about the same. Hope this helps...

Pop does have apple juice in the refillable mug as well as frozen coke and frozen blue raspberry.:thumbsup2

All resorts have switch over to the generic blue Mickey/Minnie mugs but this year instead of 2007 it has no date at all.

Ok, I just booked the Princess/Pirate Party :cool1: Doing the happy dance   :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:
they said it is nonrefundable, but no worries here, I thought it was a great deal:thumbsup2

I went to P&PP on Feb 9th solo I had a BLAST, met Capt Jack and had pix taken with him, rides were almost walk on, So much character stuff going on all over The parade and the fireworks were awesome plus I got to meet lassiem a fellow Disser . It's a great Party!!

I just bought a mug earlier this monthat Pop they are just like the ones last year but have no date onthem I don't know if you can only use them at Pop or not as I only used it at Pop, and I think they are a great value . I thought they were only for length of stay, but as we all know many don't follow that rule .I saw many with a totally different Pop mug Could they be life long use ones ??

I don't think so...from everything I know, the refillable mugs have always supposed to have been for the length of your stay only...we have always bought them each trip since 1996...However, each trip I too always see these "old mugs"...sometimes even being used at resorts other then where they were originally purchased...there is always a lot of controversy on these boards about it...most of the time getting the thread locked because the "flames" fly high!

Oh believe me I wasn'tadvocating any Mug abuse just curious from comments about different mugs and some being for life or all resorts!! I do think the generic ones will cause more abuse unless they change each year!!

I am sorry...I did not mean for you to think that I was implying you were advocating mug abuse, just trying to explain that some do, please accept my apology for the way I came across :flower3: ...I too think there will be a lot more abuse...there is too much temptation now.

If I were trying to get to Cape May Cafe for an early breakfast from Pop I don't think I would take a bus to Epcot and then boat to BC. This would require going through security at Epcot and walking through the park to get to the International Gateway at Epcot. I would think it would be better to take a bus to MGM and then walk or take the boat to the BC. You can get to the MGM boat without going through security.
The easiest way is bus to MGM (sorry I'll never get used to the change lol) the the boat to the right of the entrance to BC. My daughter & I do it every time, you'll find it easier;)

Is anyone staying at POP when I am going? April 14-May 3rd? Can anyone tell me if all of the rooms are booked already?

I went in March 07, and they had the new mugs and the older style. There were no blue ones the day that we bought our mugs so we got the Pop ones. Perhaps they still take out the Pop ones sometimes when they are running low on the otherrs? Who knows, or they were just trying to finish their supply of the Pop mugs.

We will be there April 25-May4th, and had no problem booking a room, or making any ADRs for that matter. Sounds like that week at least will be a little slower. However, my neighbor is going the week before me and has a horrible time getting ADR's. From what it sounds like, the beginning of your trip may be a little busy because of schools still having spring break, but the end should be a lot less busy. From what I've read on other threads, a lot of schools have spring breaks up to April 20thish, but after that it should slow down a lot. Hope that helps.

Anyone know how many ounces the mug holds??????

From what I read, the first three weeks or so of April will be pretty busy. It looks like alot of schools are on spring break then.

The mug I bought last year (blue and white one) holds about 16 ounces of liquid.

My nephew who lives in Marion County in FL is out on spring break from 04/07 to 04/11. My son in NC is out for spring break the week of Easter.

Can anyone help? We were set in a standard room at Pop from April 21-27. Then, I get a Disney Visa Rewards code and now am saving over $300 and getting a preferred room.

If I want to be close to the busses, and still be near a pool, and have a view of the Epcot fireworks, which building should I request?

I've never stayed onsite before, and I'd like to get the best location I can.

Thanks for all the help.

Jack

Hey there, Jack....What a great deal you got!

Have you looked at Post #1? There's reference to the best location for a view of Illuminations. There's also 3 pools, so you're never too far from a pool. Check out the maps, and they will put it all in perspective as to where the buses and pools are located as well as preferred rooms. Without looking, I don't think that there's a preferred room that gives you a view towards Epcot. So check out the couple of links there that will map this all out for you.

I booked our stay at POP just last night. We are staying from March 28th through April 6th. We had no problem getting our rooms at a discount -- AAA for the beginning of the trip and AP for the remainder. There was plenty of discounted availability at all of the resorts. I don't expect this time to be nearly as crowded as when our Spring Break falls right around Easter. Even then, we've found it to be bad only on the weekends.
