:dance3: OK, here's a silly question. :dance3:

I'm interested in staying in a room directly across the big Roger Rabbit statue.:rotfl: Does anyone know what some of the fourth floor room numbers may be. I've seen a map and know that it's rooms 9101-9472 in the 80's building. Just wondering if anyone knew what room numbers faced the other 80's building overlooking my favorite rabbit. :confused3 Any help would be appreciated. :)

You'd be better off saying you want to stay across from Roger Rabbit, rather than room numbers. I heard they don't like room number requests.

We check in on 1/31-2/4 and are staying at POP. My DD is staying at the Carabean with her team. We are going down for the UDA High school & All-Star Nationals. Just giving you the "heads up". In fact, my DD is competing at the Indy Stunt Show arena, so they might not have any shows running Sat & Sun the first week of Feb.
Question...I know that they don't give you coffee pots, so can I bring one from home?? I NEED my coffee!! LOL I have my younger DD (she'll be 22 months) so we rented a frig for milk, drinks and other stuff. I'm not sure where are room is, but I do know that its Standard, and not Perferred. We are driving down, so I'm not worried about being "close" to the food court.
Thanks!

Check out the budget boards they have both fridge and coffee pot swaps, usually they are free . If you could get in on a fridge swap it would save you renting one also coffee pot swaps, but yes you can bring one a lot of people do as WDW coffee is YUCK!!

Do you think it's better to call in for your specific room requests or fax them? We're arriving late on Sat. night so I'm hoping to put in my requests earlier rather than asking at the desk that night while we're all tired and kids are grumpy.

Thanks!

BTW, how do you add on these cute smilies? I've tried double clicking, dragging, etc. but it's not working. I'm not very technically savvy unfortunately. lol.

Does anyone know the distance across the doorway in front of the sinks in POP? I'd like to hang up a "curtain" for additional privacy, and now I'm thinking my curtain rod isn't wide enough.

Thanks! I'm leaving in the morning!!!!!!!!

We have a general idea of the measurement that is noted in Post #1 under Tips and Misc.

  • If you need additional privacy from the vanity area or if you're looking to darken the sleeping area while you’re getting ready in the morning, pack a tension rod and shower curtain w/rings or a regular curtain. Place this between the vanity area and the bed area. Estimated width of this space is 4’ – 5’. An alternative is to use two Command Adhesive (removable) Hooks and hang shower curtain on the hooks.

Hi there, I am exploring all options of places to stay. Depending on what season I travel I will either be able to afford a deluxe or a value resort and Pop is the only one I am interested in. I have read many posts on the noise level outside of people by the pool late at night and people running around and that scares me a little as both DD and I enjoy our peace and quiet and need silence when we are sleeping. When you are in your rooms, do you hear a lot of commotion from outside? Are there quieter rooms/buildings that you can request? I would assume to stay away from the preferred rooms as they are closer to all the action, right? Is it possible to relax by a pool and not have TOO much noise around you? Silly question probably, but just thought I'd ask :)

For quiet I reccomend not pool side, the rooms on the other side are quiet, some have lake views and from the 4th floor you can see Illuminations. We found our 4th floor not poolside room to be very quiet and we were close to Classic hall. I highly reccommend Pop. We neede 2 rooms for 5 and Pop was cheaper for 2 rooms than 1 at a deluxe that allowed 5. Also we had connecting rooms and 2 bathrooms so I think we made out very well.

You should've put them in with your reservation. But if you didn't I would call and add it NOW. I would then also fax to be sure they get it. I think it's 3 days before you arrive when they assign rooms.

Ack! We're arriving Saturday! Thanks for the info! Will get on that right away!

Hello, I made reservations on Thursday :woohoo: but I have 3 little questions for all you POP experts out there. :)

Numero uno. I requested the 80's building and asked if it was possible to get a king size bed and a corner room, per suggestion by another poster. What I'm wondering is, if there's such a thing as a corner/king bed room at POP?

Second question. How long does it take to get a confirmation email from Disney for your room reservation? It's going to be 3 days for me and still nothing.

Last one. I heard that, if you want to dine at another Disney resort, it's better to take your own vehicle. I've been told that the bus system doesn't work to well, going to and from different resorts. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

Thanks to anyone who took the time to help. :goodvibes

Quick thought on dining at other resorts...
We love to visit other resorts and last trip we stayed at POP. I was a little nervous about travel time, but things went pretty well. It helps to have a good idea of the transportation system, In example, if you want to dine a Poly you could bus over to Magic Kingdom and either monorail or boat to the Poly. Yes, it takes a while, We kiinda enjoyed the relaxed pace getting to our meals. Of course, it was just my husband and myself. If you are visiting the first time or have more than one young child you may be better off with a vehicle.
Another option is to make dining reservations at a resort close to the park you are visiting for the day. In example, if you go to AM hours at Animal Kingdom you may consider booking lunch at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Bus it from your hotel in the AM, go to lunch on the AKL bus, and then take the bus to another park for afternoon touring. My favorite transportation plan is to bring swimsuits along and bus it to a waterpark. Get familiar with the transportation system and all kinds of possiblities will be open no matter where you stay on property.

Anyone have the fax number? Thanks in advance. The booking CM was only able to put in a short request. We have booked prefered but I want a quiet location close to the food court.

I know the standard room can only hold 4 adults plus 1 infant...what qualifies as an infant? Probably not my 3y/o right????

We had adrs at Contemporary and took the bus to MK then the monorail to Contempoary. It was fun the kids loved riding the monorail
