I found the beds at Pop to be the best hotel beds I have ever slept on as well. Of course it depends on what you like and I have heard that there are differetn mattresses all throguh the resort.

We must have gotten a dumpy room then because even DD (along with all the adults) complained of neck pain after sleeping on the bed and pillows. And she has slept on the floor with a sleeping bag many time before. When we went to Boardwalk Inn and slept on their beds, we really felt the difference. But like I said, it's not fair to compare deluxe to value. But I don't remember this being the case at All Stars before. Also I'm glad I brought shampoo and soap from home, because the stuff they had at the resort was horrible.

DH complained of the beds at PC during our recent stay (but he was comparing them to the CR where we stayed last year!)

ITA! It's not going to be anybody's pillow top mattress from home, but the rooms are clean and the resort is full of over the top Disney magic at a great value, especially when you factor in DME transportation.

As far as noise goes, my last stay was in the 70's preferred near Goofy's Popjets, first floor. Only problem we had was with the connecting room next door. If I was a light sleeper, I would definitely ask for non-connecting rooms if I didn't need one. (And if you end up next to me in a connecting room, I apologize in advance if I keep you awake snoring. ;) )There was no problem with outside noise of people walking by or overhead noise.

Hey knowledgable POP people! :goodvibes
We are leaving this Saturday whoo hooo    . Anyway, I totally forgot to ask for a fridge in our room for my sons meds. I should fax that in, right? We also requested connecting rooms so I should fax that in as well. I saw the fax # on the first post (407) 9384039 - was wondering if that was POP's fax # or CRO's fax?? Thanks guys!

I read here that a readybed will fit at POP but my 11 year old DD that is about 5' tall and weighs about 115 pounds. Are readybeds big enough for her? Or should I get a regular twin inflatable bed, will it fit?

I'm sitting at Pop Century right now. The big tree in the lobby is beautiful. The parks are crowded, but still a blast. I'll post some pictures when I get home.

You can ask about it when you check in. They have plenty of them. I ended up with one since DS had two medications that required a fridge. No charge for that....

MeMom,

Can you check on those chocolate chip pancakes in the foodcourt? Word has it that they are now phased out. What a bummer if true.

I doubt a ready bed would be big enough or if it was, it probably wouldn't be that comfortable. Not sure if a regular twin would fit or not, but I assume it would...

My kids have ready beds. I think your DD would be too tall. I'm sure you could fit a twin bed somewhere in the room-you have to move the table but I'm sure you can get it in.

I really think the rooms are different, for some reason. I have a really bad back and neck. I NEVER can sleep at hotels. I usually bring an airmattress to sleep on because I can't get any sleep other wise. The bed I had at POP was the most woderful thing. I slept wonderfully and not a bit of pain the whole trip. But like I said before, if it is bad you can ask to be moved or I have even heard of them bringing in a new mattress.
We stayed in the 70's building(I can't remember which but I think it was 6? Next to the 60s) back by the lake. We had first floor and only heard noise once outside. The rest of the time it was really quiet. Rarely heard any nosie from other rooms either. I loved first floor and will request it from now on. I would like to try poolside first floor, 60's next time. I think my DD would love being right next to the pool. She hate swimming till that trip and now she wants to swim all the time!

I will take it and swap it to someone else after me. I am going Dec 8-14th.

I am going to be at POP december 14th-21st and would love to have the wreath.

This is my first trip to Disney. My husband and I are very excited about it. Any tips you could pass along would be great. Thanks!

we are staying at pop for one night before we transfer over to GF.
I wanted to take a Taxi over at 7am since have ADR's at CP at 8:25am.
Should I let the front desk know the day I check in that I need a taxi there next morning or do you think I would be ok with calling them at 6am to request a Taxi for 7am?

I would say you can get one in the morning. But it cant hurt to ask at the desk when you check in. Then call and remind them the next morning.

Hi Everyone,
I got a coffee maker today to bring with us to the Pop. We'll be checking out on Jan. 29th. Does anyone want it when we're done? I'd be happy to leave it at the front desk for someone.
:coffee: :surfweb: :coffee:
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Sorry that I didn't check back on this thread until after we had left, so I can't say for sure about the pancakes. We usually grab something quick, fruit or a croissant, to tide us over, and then we eat a little later when we get into the parks.

The Pop Christmas tree was the only one up of the five resorts I went to last week. They all had gift shop decorations, but their big trees weren't up yet. The guy at POFQ said theirs was scheduled to go up the 20th, and we left on the 20th. Pop's was already up and was a beautiful, welcoming sight as we walked in!

Did you know you could take a bus from POP to the MK for your CP breakfast? The first bus to POP arrives between 6:45am and 7am for the early breakfasts. Last week I took a 7am bus from Pop to MK and then onto the Poly for my 7:40am ADR. I had no trouble getting there on time. I was originally going to take a taxi, but asked about getting to my early ADR and they told me I would have no trouble taking a bus. :)

Hello! In the event you didn't know about this, check the Trip Planning Budget Board as there is a Pop coffee maker swap in progress. There may even be more than one thread even. Perhaps you can start a new thread or advertise on those others. :confused3

Try http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1366280 to get you started.

Have a great time!!

Technically I don't think we are supposed to tell about swaps on these boards,ONLY the budget board. You can direct people to your thread, but not supposed to line things up on these boards.
