We just booked our first trip (as adults) to Disney! I think I am more excited than my two kids. LOL. Thank you so much for all of the chit-chat on this board. I really appreciate it. Can't wait for POP!

Welcome to the Dis !!:banana:In 2007 , I was a first time Disney vacationer and once was all it took!!But thanks to these boards I didn't go feeling like a newbie !!Even now I learn new things to see and do from other Dissers !!You are gonna love these boards !!

My sister just asked me a question I don't have an answer to, as we always bring our laptop with us - is there any place at POP for her to go online and check her email while she's there?

I'm reading your question as asking if there is a computer she can use to check e-mail -- like at some hotels there are public computers for guests to use in the lobby or business centers. At Pop, nothing like that is available.

I noticed everyone answering about the cost of the internet, which if you already have brought your laptop you know the cost. Are you asking if there is a business center type area where they have computers you can use? If so, I don't think so, I haven't seen or heard about them at POP

Yes! That was my question - thanks, now I can tell her "no" for POP - I wonder if there is anywhere else - hmmmm ...................

Have a great trip. If you have any questions feel free to ask? The first page of the thread is awesome but there is always somethings that aren't found there.

Just an idea: I know there is a McDonald's on Disney property at the entrance of the All Star resorts. I do believe McD's has free wifi if that would be an option for her? Otherwise it looks like it will be $10/day at POP.

Dbf was wondering about this too. We are driving over, so if necessary, for work purposes, he was gonna try that option before paying the $10. I know that is not an option for everyone but he figured what the heck!

My phone gets most of the stuff I need on it, to check email, check FB, etc.

This just reminded me......I was at Pop May 29 to June 5th (First time staying there and I LOVED IT!!) but I had the worst time getting reception on my phone in my room and a few areas at the parks! I could go outside 2 doors down and get a signal, but in my room....almost never had reception! I've never had this issue at WDW in all my trips before! My sister has a different service provider than me (I have t-mobile and she has Sprint) and she had the same problem in her connecting room next to mine. I always bring my laptop and use my phone as a router to get internet access in my room (at the All Stars) but couldn't do it at all this trip.

Anyone else have problems getting cell phone reception at Pop?

So sorry to ask a question that has probably been asked several times...I scanned first & last few pages of thread...have all of the room renovations at POP been completed?? If not- do you know which buildings have either been done ( or not done ) as of yet?

We are arriving at the end of August and were not sure what the curent situation is..

TIA !!!!! :):):)

Yes, it's all done.

Room renovations at Pop were completed in all buildings by the end of 2010. The 50s buildings were the last ones to be completed.

68 days until I am back at POP. We were going to go to a mod this trip but I just couldn't leave POP. We love it there so why mess with a good thing!

We are headed to our 3rd straight stay at pop. Having stayed at the mods before. Dh was wondering why we wasted all that money. POP has everything we need. We were thinking of upgrading to a moderate for the pool but we are just going to do TL instead. So no need to spend the extra 750.00 for a moderate. Plus we prefer the QSDP over the RDP.

We are at 60 days today. Starting Friday I can say we leave next month. LOL

I am creating a POP coloring book for my kids. I haven't been to Disney since 1997 :guilty: so I am relying on images posted on this site. For example, B is for Bowling Pin, R is for Rubik's Cube and Y is for Yo-Yo. I'm missing the letter N. I'm just stumped. It's probably something that is so easy or duh? but I need help. Thanks! I will find a way to post the book when it is finished.

N is for _________
