They are posting fine. You have to clear cookies sometimes to see it right on your own screen, and also it sometimes is delayed on photobucket. some of mine sometimes take hours to actually show the reduction.

Please post all of these to the Pop picture thread as well.

AHA! Thank you for solving the Photobucket mystery that has been driving me nutso! lol!
Now that I know that I am doing it right, I will go over to the POP picture thread and post them there as well. Thanks for your help!:flower3:

Hiya:wave:
Seattleite and serious coffee person here I would have to suggest you get the starbucks via's as it is instant for your mug for your coffee in the morning! With all due respect to Disney, I believe it is Nescafe, the instant Via is way better!!! Have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for the suggestion! The whole family will be better of if I have my morning coffee. :lmao: I am going to pick some Via up and try it out ahead of time so we can make plans. I was even thinking about buying one of the cheap electric kettles to take with me, and some kind of instant coffee...might as well be SB! :thumbsup2

Choco...
:worship:You are AWESOME!!!!

Agreed! Thanks! It is helpful to see everything ahead of time, plus it is exciting.:thumbsup2
I have to confess I laughed out loud about the price of the Smart water though....$3.29, wow! :rotfl: Good enough reason to have groceries delivered!

Yes -:teacher: the *conversion rate* in the World can be scary.;)
DH always says the best example is the rest of the country has Dollar Stores.... Disneys version is a $10 store in DTD.

Got our room request in 60's facing the lake. I hope we get it again this year. The first 2 cm's told me it was prefered. I knew they were wrong so I just called back just now. Told the cm I would like to add a request no problem. I guess 3rd time is a charm.:thumbsup2

We are here now! :) I must say that I'm not really a value kinda person, but I do like this resort far more than All Stars. Although, I do miss the poolside activities at ASMu. We are in a 1st floor preferred room in the 50s building, facing foliage, etc., - so I thought it would be fairly quiet. But it's not. It's LOUD. SO VERY LOUD. every morning - starting around 4am (why, why, why?) - I am woken repeatedly by families very loudly passing by. Children screaming DADDY DADDY DADDY over and ove again. How do people have no sense of common courtesy? I shush my son walking past the rooms at all hours of the day. It's painful. The actual location is perfect though. Easy walk to everything. Just bring earplugs. *roll*

Just wanted to add - you can have your receipt stamped when you pay for your meal at the register - when you are done eating you can go to the ice cream counter and have a HUGE ice cream made - you get 3 scoops of ice cream (you can have all the same or 2/3 different flavors), then you choose your sauce (hot fudge, caramel or strawberry) - again you can choose 1 or have all 3 - and then your toppings (whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips and cherries). :lovestruc

We also really liked the Mickey Oreo cupcake.:lovestruc

Did the sundeas at Pop on our last trip and enjoyed it so much! Was so wonderful to discover the tip about getting the dessert later. :goodvibes

Ditto this. After a 2 week stay at Pop I decided if I ever do a long trip again - I can NOT stay at this type of resort. Between the noise from people passing by and the housekeepers I thought I would lose my mind.
Because of some issues dd has, we can't do the early day touring very much when it's very hot...so instead we tried sleeping in and staying up late in the parks. But you can not sleep past about 7am because of the darn noise level. I agree...what are people thinking letting their kids screech and scream outside people's rooms? Ugh. And housekeeping started knocking around 8am every day. I would put the do not disturb out, but the neighbors door is about 6" away from ours, so they may as well have been knocking for our room.

I think what made it was worse is the fact that the bed near the door is SO CLOSE to the door. Your head is inches away from all that exterior noise. When we stayed in a king room it was way more peaceful....I was on the other side of the room. This time we didn't get our room request. :sad2:

With people complaining about the noise, would it be better to get a room that isn't preferred?

Yes!!! Or at the very least be sure to request a room that doesn't face the pool. We have stayed at POP 4 times. Never had a preferred room..the only time we experienced the noise factor was last week when we were in the 80's section, facing the pool...and like the pp, it was tough! Tons of screaming kids well into the night..:sad2: Our most quiet stay was in the 60's, facing the lake.

I was reading on some boards that disney hotels are now charging a $10 fee if you ship a package to the hotel. Does anyone know if pop century is doing this? We are going in December and taking a 20 month old toddler with us and wanted to have diapers and snacks sent to the hotel so that we do not have to carry them on the plane.

No, they don't. Only convention resorts (CSR, Beach Club, Contemporary) charge the fee because they have such a volume of packages coming in from convention groups shipping materials down.

Why are people walking around at 4 AM?

My room was not preferred or near a pool...I was also on the 4th floor. The walls are thin and when you're sleeping inches away from the door...there's just not a good buffer.

We were, lol. We did MK twice until 3am...the second time we didn't even get on a bus till 3:55 so it was about 4:20 when we rolled into our rooms. We are still very mindful of others, and quiet (although I am sure the neighbors could still hear us open/close the door). We were rarely in our room before midnight.

I tried this on my March trip this year, but the problem was getting water that was hot enough. Next time I'll take an electric kettle to heat it up.

I'm sure alot of it is from the pool area and probably some of the prefered rooms. WE had the worst stay ever at ASMO and it wasn't the resort it was beacuse we had a room facing the pool. Ever since then I pack my fan to drown out the noise and my own pillow. I like my pillow flat and the ones at disney are to big. I sleep fine now.

Hi Fellow POPers!

Choco: Thanks for the great pix! Just seeing them and reading your review really makes me want a trip back to POP this summer.

Sorry you had problems with noise. We never do, we always request a lake view, top floor end room. It is the best! Hardly anyone walks by you (people prefer the elevators over the stairs). We don't mind the little extra walking at all. It helps also that we are very sound sleepers too :lmao:
