We loved POP!! However, once our youngest is 3, we will be forced to upgrade. We thought the bus service was terrific!!! The food court was a little small for the resort, in my opinion. It was a nightmare in the morning, especially. Getting breakfast for my family of 5, with hubby staying with the kids, took over an hour for us....but we had a fabulous time and enjoyed every minute. May rent points next time, or stay in a family suite.

I agree about Breakfast.

The only way to beat the Rush is to be at Everything POP at 6:30 AM when everything opens, but that is hard to do on Holiday.:)

At 6:30,all food stations are "walk ons"(to borrow a Theme Park Attraction term;):)).

That is one thing we don't eat breakfest so we never had to deal with the morning breakfest. We usually eat a early lunch around 11-1130. Last year Dh just went and filled mugs and used a snack to get the girls something to share. But he was never gone long.

A tip for those who don't like the madhouse in the morning...get your food and take it out by the pool or to your room. We never eat in the food court in the mornign and have had no problems.

Anyone know if the Art of Animation construction noise should be a concern for our trip in a couple weeks? Didn't even think about it until watching that youtube video. I know the pool will be reopened by then.

They probably only do it during the day...and I doubt you would hear it too much since it is across the lake..and depending where your room is as well.

We just got back last Thursday after staying for a week in building 6, 70s section, back side by the lake. We could hear the hum of construction vehicles as we walked to/from our room, but not from inside the room at all. The construction was not a problem for us, and in fact was entertaining to watch!

Thanks for the personal account. I asked a friend about it too who has stayed at POP. She wasn't there during construction, but said that the lake is sufficiently large enough that the noise should be a low din at worst. (In her opinion.)

I leave in 2 DAYS!!!:banana: I'll try to let ya'll know what we encounter when we get back. I'm hoping for a lakeside room...

why will you be forced to upgrade???

We are going the end of May.. it will be me, dh, dd ( 4.5) and dd ( who will be 2 months at the time).

Just curious if its a space issue or what... thanks :)

I think because they have 5 in their family. Same with us, we love POP but won't be able to stay unless we get 2 rooms :(

oh! that makes sense! i missed the part of family of 5. Thats what happens when I read these boards when I am tired :)

I knew the rooms were small and it is one of my concerns, so I hope we do ok!

And they will only let you have 4 in a room. I didn't think it was too bad, we had enough space. But we didn't hang out there much either. :)

Hi everyone! My DBFF and I are considering staying at Pop for our trip at the end of september and I have a kind of strange question. I'm afraid of heights and am really nervous about those outdoor walkways! Strange I know...anyhow, my question is if any of you have had any luck with requesting rooms on the ground floor? Thanks for any insights!:goodvibes

We have been to the POP 6 times and have always requested ground floor and have always gotten the ground floor.

Just be sure to request it on your reservation, although it is not guaranteed, you should be able to get it. Good Luck
