Do they still sell slices of bread in the food court? Do they sell peanut butter or should I pack some? My son is super picky and will not eat jelly so the uncrustables are out.

I'm here now. There are bread slices in the food court...not sure about peanut butter.

Forgot to mention...we are in building 1, 3rd floor, preferred 50s section, right near Lady. Not yet refurbished but great location. We can see the kids swimming in the bowling pin pool but no noise.

Thanks! I might run up and get some of the dip type peanut butter packages tonight!

We will be there tomorrow!!

I requested 70's, anything but ground, so hoping we get a refurbished since I would LOVE the privacy curtain!

Do they sell just slices of bread, or can I buy a whole loaf? What are the bread prices? When my nephews and I go in March, we're bringing lots of food from home so we can eat breakfast in the room and save our DDP credits for lunch and dinner.

Hey everyone! I'm planning on a stay at POP in February and have a question regarding the refrigerators. Are they big enough to hold a gallon of milk and some bottles of water? Are they like the ones at AKL or the smaller square ones?
Thanks. ;)

We are renting one next month but from the pics they look like the same size as the ones at the moderates. If you request a medical fridge I think it is smaller.

I am getting a medical fridge, and was told it's basically the size of a shoe box. They said a 6 pack of soda will not fit in there. (It's a good thing my daughter's medicine isn't in large bottles!)

Have a great trip! Your almost there.

I have reserved a refrigerator for medical purposes in the past. I find the refrigerator is a perfectly acceptable size. Think of the fridges that are sold for college students' dorm rooms. That is what you can expect. It definitely will hold more than a 6 pack of soda.

I wish I had a pic to post, but I don't. Sorry.

Just did online check in today. Hard to believe we're only 10 days from checking in at Pop.

DD7 is about to burst, and DW and myself are pretty stoked too!:thumbsup2

I know - I'm going absolutely crazy! The last couple days have been draaaaaaaging! Let's just hope time drags while I'm in Disney! LOL :yay:

When I reserved it, they told me it should be dorm-room size. But they said if there are none of that size left, they will bring me a "cooling box" which is the size of the shoe box. I'm hoping to get a larger one, but am planning on having the smaller one. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised then disapointed. And after all - it is only for my daughter's meds.

Thanks for the info. We won't be needing it for medical reasons. My nephew just drinks a lot of milk and thought about doing a garden grocery order. ;)

:cool1: 9 more days for us too!!! And so far DS doesn't have a clue! :ssst:

I have not done on-line check in YET. I never have in the past, but also have never had to wait in line for check in either. I am gambling that I am on an odd timed DME bus and there won't be too many of us getting off, thus no line :wizard:

And I admit, I am relieved that Danielle is going to stay away from the East Coast, but the area behind it (soon to be TD #6 ) and the one about roll off the coast after that have me worried

Now for a Pop question, I am thinking about ordering a gift basket later today for DS. Does Pop have runners to put it in the room after we check in (but while we are at the park) or can I only pick it up at the front desk?

Thanks!

Tropical Depression 7 (soon-to-be Earl) is getting a little too close for comfort. :scared1::eek:

Do the non-refurb room's have new mattresses or are they doing everything at once? I seem to recall that they were replacing the mattresses a year ago so surely all the rooms have semi-new mattresses. And are the non-refurb rooms kept clean by their usual standards or is housekeeping letting these rooms kind of slide?

TIA

I'm about 30 days away from checking in to my beloved Pop. :jumping3:

We just got back on Monday evening. We were pleasantly surprised with Pop. We enjoyed our stay. We were in building one of the 1950's on an end room with our friends room adjoining ours. It was a quiet location and we could not have asked for better. It was a 5 min walk to the food court and buses.

We had a fridge and it was a square one.

I want to say two slices of bread were $1 last we were there. If you want some really good bread go to Earl of Sandwich and ask for their bread with nothing on them and you will get a 6" sub sized fresh baked bread for the same $1 unless prices went up.

HTH

Hi all...we will be heading for our first stay at POP Oct. 1st-Oct. 10th!! Only 37 more days!! Woohoo!! My questions is...Does pop have pegs to hang things on in the room? I found a travel hamper at target yesterday for $1, but it's a hanging one, so just curious if there is anywhere that I might be able to hang it or should I just try and find a standing one? (I hate putting my dirty clothes back in the suitcase with clean clothes..haha) Hope my question makes sense! TIA!:thumbsup2
