five days until me, DH and youngest DS(15) leave for our first stay at POP!!! so much other stuff going on, I'm not sure I'm ready for trip! Have not started packing, have baseball playoffs for son, he has an away football mini camp to go to, we have a wedding on Saturday night and we leave to drive down to Disney on Sunday morning. I don't even think I have a dress for the wedding yet AND I have a retirement luncheon today for one of our co-workers. Taking deep breaths and making some new lists!

Look at it this way.....you'll be so busy that the time 'til you go will pass by in not time at all.

true; just going to take one thing at a time and before we know it, it will be Sunday morning and on our way!:cool1:

We leave tomorrow morning at 7am and I have nothing packed yet. I'm not in a panic because I always pack the day before we leave. I like to do it all at once so I know I'm not forgetting anything. I did laundry yesterday, so everything we need is nice and clean. I have a fabulous packing list that I printed out last night, so I'm all set! Can't wait to be at Pop this time tomorrow! :cool1:

Have a great time Dancegrl624, bring us all back a little magic!

VAYankee - Time will fly and you'll be shaking the juggling blues in no time!

I usually like to pack the day before too; I printed off a packing list I found on one of the posts that I'll use on Saturday; DH and DS are easier to pack - shorts, tees, sneakers, etc.; That's why I love this thread, I got so many great ideas - things I wouldn't have thought of. I'm so looking forward to staying at POP (and grumpy DH is finally starting to look forward to getting away too, although he'll be working through the vacation - have laptop will travel!) I have convinced him that we will be taking a break each day around 2 or 3 to hang at the pool and he can bring his computer and work there.

Enjoy your first stay. I believe you will love it! I have to wait another year and can't stand it!

Have fun!! Packing always makes me nervous for at least a week before we leave, but I always finish up the day that we leave, because we always leave for the drive at night and are using a few things that day before we take off.

We have two seperate ressies for POP Sept 24th-30th we want to try to get connecting rooms. How do we go about putting in a request for connecting rooms with two ressie numbers?
Thanks

We had 3 reservations last year, they were made together, but 3 or 4 days prior to our trip, I faxed a request to POP and requested XXX reservation have a connecting room to XXXX and XXXX be close. We ended up with exactly what we wanted-3 rooms in a row with the 2 connecting

I love true sweet tea. However the other day I was at one of my favorite sandwich shops and they had replaced their brewed tea with the Gold Peak and it was decent for the fake stuff. (I wouldn't go out of my way for it but it's a ton better than Nestea).

When we first started traveling to WDW back in 1999 we had the hardest time finding Dr. Pepper once you got into Florida. It seems to be a lot more popular now in the Orlando area and you can actually get it there. :)

This will be the 2nd suprise trip the 04 trip she thought she was going to airport because I was flying to Atlanta for work, Well I was flying to Atlanta but not for work we were going to the world. Because of DD work schedule she is always in on suprise . Have not quite deceided how to tell them we are leaving, have a couple of ideas in mind . We shall see how it goes and what we come up with for the suprise.

I'd like to wish everyone who is on there way to Pop soon a good trip! Please share with us all the details when you get back.

Counting down for our family trip in Nov/Dec!

Although we are leaving tomorrow morning, our stay at Pop is not until the 26th. :sad2:

Still, I can't wait!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Amen, sister! I grew up with a pitcher of sweet tea ALWAYS ready in the fridge - and still have it there now - if my kids ask for "sweet tea" in a restaurant north of the Mason Dixon, the server looks at them like they have three heads! And adding the sugar to "iced tea" isn't the same - it has to be added while the tea is still hot, or it doesn't taste the same - anyhoo - enough with the sweet tea lecture - carry on!:rotfl:

Totally agree - when you add sugar to iced tea it just sits at the bottom of the glass. Yuck:stir:

We're leaving in a week and a half :jumping1:

Just curious if there is still only the 2 in 1 shampoo/cond available at pop?

It is great for the boys but not so great for my long curly/frizzy hair LOL
