If you need additional privacy from the vanity area or if you're looking to darken the sleeping area while you’re getting ready in the morning, pack a tension rod and shower curtain w/rings or a regular curtain. Place this between the vanity area and the bed area. The width of this "doorway" is 38", so plan accordingly. An alternative is to use two Command Adhesive (removable) Hooks and hang shower curtain on the hooks.

Our tension rod was tiny. We bought it at Walmart for 5 bucks. It's about 1/3 inch in diameter and opens to, I think 4 feet, but since the door opening is 38" it works perfect. Fits right in a large suitcase.

How do you stand it when the vacation is so close yet you have to continue with regular life??? All I want is that vacation to begin!! It seems like torture waiting.......of course this trip has been planned for over 6 months, so I guess a few more days isn't going to kill me.

But how do you deal with the excitement running amuk right before your trip?

We are staying at Pop for the fourth time. All of our previous trips have only been for a few days so we spent most of our time in the parks. This time I would like to explore Pop.

Can someone tell me where I can find:

The Big Wheel
Mr. Potato Head
Twister Game

and any other points of interest at Pop.

I know it is ok to get excited but I am constantly saying....only ____ days to go!! LOL I must say it 20 times a day at this point.

So you will be there same time as us!!! Oh I hope you have a good time and the weather holds out for us. I don't mind the lower temps as I am from Michigan....85 is too hot for me, the 70's and mid 50's at night are my kind of weather!!! LOVE IT!

The Big Wheel can be found in front of one of the 70's buildings.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head can be found on the path that goes from the 70's buildings towards the 80's building.

I think the Twister Game can be found in front of the 70's building.

Take a walk along the path near Hourglass lake and you will see signs with interesting facts from the different years starting with 1950.

The whole Pop Century Resort is a photo op. Lots of big icons and look for cute bunnies, ducks and lizards.

We are staying at the pop in january and will have a rental the entire time. I read posts 1 &2 in here to see if they had any information on this but did not see it.

Does someone have directions from the pop to the parks/downtown, etc? I know we can find out once we get there but I was hoping (master planner) to be able to get it all down ahead of time.

Not much help, but I would definitely recommend doing it the other way around. We never had any trouble finding our way TO anywhere - all the parks, DD, etc are well marked. However, getting back to Pop always seemed to be a major challenge. Went from Epcot to Pop by way of the MK parking lot on our first attempt!

If you have a GPS, you can program in the address for Pop, and it is usually pretty accurate. However, pre-programming in the addresses for everywhere else seemed to be useless since the listed address wouldn't be where the actual parking lot was. And coming out of the parking lots, you'd just have to actually get on a road before it would start giving you useful directions (and not having you go on roads that were closed to the public).

My best recommendation was using the map they gave you when you checked in (which we didn't find until about our third day there). That was easier than trying to use the GPS overall in our opinion.

We have had rentals too and getting to DTD is really easy from Pop, but any other parks is not so easy. We got lost coming back from Contempory a few years ago. We pretty much park the car for the most part and ride Disney transportation. We can't get anywhere any faster.

We're checking into Pop on Saturday!!!! I'm so excited. We will arrive Friday and stay at the Radisson then check in Sat. at Pop! I'm already packed and everything.

We stayed at Pop for one night in July and fell in love!! So we are staying 8 nights next week. Woo Hoo longest trip ever.

Can I check in early at Pop? Like 8:30 am? I know the room won't be ready but I want to check in early because of how busy it seems that Saturday is going to be.
