OK here is my question for all you that know allot more then I do!!
We are a party of 12 with 3 rooms at the pop. I just got a pin and we now have standard rooms and not preferred. So what are the chances of us getting into the 50's building with connection rooms? Do they have rooms that connect (all 3 rooms)???? Should I go back to preferred rooms? I am soo clue less!:confused3

I do not believe there are connecting rooms that would connect all three rooms. You might be able to get one set of rooms connecting, then the third room in the same general area or next to the connecting rooms. There are not very many connecting rooms, so when you also request a specific building , you cut down your chances of getting both requests fulfilled.

Connecting rooms are not guaranteed, but I was able to get connecting rooms a couple weeks ago. It was my only request as it didn't matter to me which building we got.

Personally, I would keep the standard rooms you have booked with the Pin code, but as I mentioned, room location is not important to me. We got rooms in the 80's building, facing the computer pool and the walk to the food court was less than 5 minutes; even shorter to the bus stops.

You can fax the resort a few days before arrival with your requests (info on page one I believe) with your requests in order of importance, but I would not get my hopes up of having both building and connecting rooms granted. It may happen, then it will be a nice dose of pixie dust instead of a dissapointment, you know?

3 more days!!!! We're actually going to drive half way on Friday! We're so excited. I think we've done everything we need too. I faxed our room request yesterday. I really hope we get a top floor and NOT a connecting room. Last year a sweet baby woke me up every morning around 4:30 and cried for about 2 1/2 hours. We drive to all the parks except MK, so we wanted to be near the parking lot, a in a quiet location. We asked for 50's building 2 lake view, top floor. I figured it never hurts to ask!
:goodvibes

I'm so excited just opened the mail today and got our luggage tags and are little packet. I just double check it and notice they forgot to add my room request and pack and play. I just called to add those. My request was kind of vague so I hope I get it. I just said 60's section facing the lake. I know this isn't a Pop question but asked at the dining boards and no one has answered. I have made all of our ADR's we wanted. But have left some days open. Can we use our TS credits towards CS meals? I also got my new camera yesterday so hoping to add to the POP photo thread.

Yes and no. There are some places that will let you use your TS credits for CS. But it's totally at the discretion of the cashier. I suggest checking with the cashier before getting the meal and then returning to that cashier. Do not just assume that if one place lets you, they all will. Also do not assume that if you return to a location that has let you do it that you'll be able to do it again!

And keep these places in mind: Big River Brewing Company, ESPN, and Beaches & Cream. All take the DDP and none take ADRs.

I did online check-in yesterday (9 days away now! ) Only problem is that my boyfriend's last name is spelled wrong, an "N" instead of a "M" for the second letter. I had asked them to fix it, originally it was fixed and at some point it reverted :sad2:

Is it worth asking them to fix it on the card when we get there? We're not in any kind of hurry, we're getting to Pop probably around 11, but not really doing anything until MNSSHP that night. But I don't really want to hold anyone behind us up.

I asked this on the main board since I didn't get an answer here. In case anyone in the future needs an answer, look here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2303014

as far as apple juice there wasn't any in the machines when we were just there (sept 26-oct 3).....they did have powerade & lemonade.

Just a note, the lemonade is lite lemonade and contains artificial sweetner, not sure if that matters to you.

What kind of tea do they have in place of the icees? I am hoping they have sweet tea. Is the tea good?

I'm a BIG fan of sweet tea, and I didn't like it. It's kinda "fake" tasting... it's like not as fake as Nestea, but it doesn't taste like brewed tea. :)

Just left Pop yesterday.

Ok, I'll admit it, I was hesitant on staying at a (gasp) "Value", but, dollar for dollar (preferred room paid), I like POP better than the Wilderness Lodge.

My only hang-up from 10 days, were those pesky scooters zooming up with parties of 15+ to pre-board a bus.

I have no issues with 1 person boarding to "assist", but when 2 scooters take up an entire bus to Epcot, I've got issues.

Other complaint, ME.....apparently some people chose to "sleep in" yesterday and missed their DME bus back to MCO, which then caused everyone else to be delayed....IMO, they should've been refused to board. I was scheduled on the 9:45 am ME yesterday and didn't get on a bus until 11:15am, for a 12:40pm flight to PHL. Luckily for me, I chose to fly SW this year instead of Spirit and that I used RAC.

We booked bounceback w/ free dining next year too! But I won't be paying for a preferred room, it didn't seem so preferred to me....Bldg.1 4th floor!!!!!!!!!!

:scared1:I was the one in a scooter, and with this post it has just pissed me off. I was at the pop Sept 29 until Oct 6, so I was one of those.
Let me tell you, I travel by myself, and there is no way I can walk, But when I was at the parks I did some times park it and if it was a short walk I would do that, But going to and from the parks I has to use my scooter.
So with that you need to get a grip and keep your coments to your self about us using a scooter.
I would give anything to walk I have been to the park every year for the past 3 years and will be going back next year, so I hope you get a grip.

For those that want to know, The bounce back offer is $60.00 a night with Free base dining.

I didn't see where JLKennedy was saying anything about it bothering her that someone was using a scooter. She wasn't even bothered by the fact that those on scooters board first. She was saying that it annoyed her when someone on a scooter who had 15+ people with them were able to board the bus before everyone else causing the bus to become to full for those who had been waiting in line. Not only that but sometimes those 15+ people plus the person(s) on the scooter showed up 5 minutes before the bus got there while many of those already in line had been waiting there for much longer.

Just my interpretation of what she posted. :goodvibes

If you travel by yourself instead of with 15 other people, you are obviously not one of the people being commented about. Relax and "get a grip".

I did not know that Southwest was now participating in RAC.

Yes and no. I heard they really don't like this and will mostly only do it if there are no TS dining optionsleft that day or something happened and you need to cancel the dining. I was told you had to get it pre approved and those credits turned into CS credits. Not sure if any of that is fact or not though.

If you were by yourself, then that post had NOTHING to do with you at all. It was posted that they were mad about 15 + people accompanying the scooter person. Tehre was never a probelm with the scooter person getting on, but the 15 + people who went with them. And if that was you with 15 + people, then SHAME on you. That is not fair for al lthe others waiting. You only need 4 people max to help you.
Again if you went by yourself, then it was not about you at all. We have no problem with people in scooters. It's a fact of life. my DH is having his hip replaced in a few weeks, and if we go next Spring, he may need one, depending on how fast he heals. (he's a big baby). The only problem I have with people in scooters is when they are behind you beeping that dang horn. Obviously if you could go faster, you would. :confused3 LOL! Or if they run into your heals.
So sit back and take a deep breath. It has nothing to do with you and your situation.

I've heard a couple people mention they had issues with ME getting back to the airport. Luckily I have my parents taking me to the airport (weekend!) How was getting to Pop?

And for anyone who doesn't know but may be interested: I got an email that Southwest has extended RAC to all values now.

Thanks for the information on the dining. I'm in the process of booking some more adr's. I was thinking of doing some of the DTD resturaunts for the 2 or 3 I have left. I really hadn't had a problem getting ADR"s except chef Mickey's . I booked our reservation at the last minute since my step son was trying to make up his mind if he was coming or not. If he was with us we would of booked 2 rooms or the ASMU suite.

Is there a way to not walk buy the pools in the am? DD is 1 and loves the water I told dh she will freak everytime we walk by. It is not easy to reason with a 20 month old. I know it is not guarenteed but I did ask for 60's section facing the lake(hopefully she won't think she is going swimming in the lake).

What is RAC? Is it something to do with resort airline checkin? That's probably so. Thanks!
