The price difference could be if they are in different counties, as I know different resorts have different tax rates depending on which county they are in.

 Good point.. I didn't think of that!

No need to EVER bring your own towels, nor to go hunting for them!
Pick up the phone in your room, push the number for housekeeping, and tell them you'd like more towels. I have asked for EIGHT towels (we have two rooms of 4) and been brought them right to the door without the CM even batting an eye!
 this works in hotel rooms but not DVC villas... DVC you have to pay for an extra "towel package"... I bring my own towels (except when we fly)
I have even left notes for them to leave extra towels when they come in to clean, and several times they have remembered this for the rest of the trip and just automatically left them. But even if it's evening, you can call and request more!
I feel bad that people have been taking up precious (and now expensive!) luggage space for towels when they are so readily available!

RE: buses, you can also send someone to a CM to ask them for a bus. Sometimes they are able to radio for one. We had an unusually long wait for MK one morning, and the CM standing out with a clipboard radioed for a bus so they'd speed up the process. Sometimes it works, depending on what the hold up is!
 We missed the last bus to the Pop from DTD Marketplace one day and a CM with a radio called the bus back for us!! That was such a relief.
Re: box, that stinks! I think that will be part of the reason I will miss the high tv stands/dressers. I would always put things I didn't want touched up on top of it.
 I'm bringing a bunch of hangers this time

We are debating on flying now so all the extra Pop stuff like laundry hampers, hangers, etc may not be going this year. Will all rooms be done by November? We always request the 50's and I love that section!

Just realized my countdown is now in double digits!!!! 99 days!!!!!!

Yahoooooo for double digits !!!

Just paid in full last night. I just checed my email this morning to make sure we got thre invoice. Sometimes that sight is just weird and the payments don't go threw. Next week we will be at our 45 day mark.

We are 31 days away and just received our magical express packet and vacation packet in the mail. I love getting those things. It lets you know it's getting close. Yea!

I am getting so jealous of everyone who is soon going to be at Pop! I am starting to think my trip will never get here. Seems like time is going so slow.

Yeah for Mickey mail. It does make it seem real.

We just got back from a two week stay at POP. We had a wonderful room in Bldg 5 in
60's section on the 4th floor facing the lake all the way at the end of the row of rooms. Couldn't have asked for a better room, plus it was refurbished.

We really enjoyed having the curtain in the bathroom area. I never realized how much it was needed, but it made getting dressed easier. Our flusher on our toliet barely worked though and you had to hold it down forever. Other than that it was wonderful.

We saw work going on over at the Legendary Years, so nice to see work going on over there.

 I'm bringing a bunch of hangers this time

This year and last year we bought hangers at Wal-mart upon arrival (we drove down). Hangers are the best. I did one outfit per hanger (both shorts and shirt).

This worked well for us and the drawers were left for the unhangables like socks and undies.

I liked the curtain except for the fact it cut off air flow to the bathroom area. If it was closed for only a little bit it was HOT near the sink so it was hard to do hair and make-up because I was sweating! Had to step into the room to get a bit of cool air. We had the AC turned down to 68 too.

One other odd thing I noticed and forgot to mention in my earlier report was it seemed that my hair dryer (from home) did not have near the power at the Pop as at home. I have VERY thick hair and I could not get it to dry. I thought my hair dryer was dying since there was hardly any force of air but once I got home it was back to normal? Could the plug-in power effect the force of air in the hair dryer???

:cheer2: We are 1 month and 8 days from our 5th trip to Disney.
Staying at POP September 11th to September 21st.

What a great feeling to have everthing paid for. Now we are waiting for our Mouse Mail. We did a bounce back from last year, so we have had this in the works for 11 months and its almost here. WOW  :dance3:

I'm another bounceback leaving next month 9/24 to 10/3. Can hardly wait. I did switch to the QSDP instead of the RP because we didn't want to be tied down to adr's.

I thought this when I was there last year. I'm from Australia but I bought a hairdryer in the US as the dual voltage travel dryers are worse than useless on my thick curly hair. Everywhere else I used it was very powerful, but at the Pop, not so. I thought it was my imagination though - and general frustration with the Floida Frizzies. I ended up with headbands and hats on most of the time.

Regarding the refurb - has the 50's section been done? We are hoping for a refurb 50's room when we are there next month, building 2 especially.

Can't wait to get back - 24 hours in a plane is worth it! :cloud9:

Don't worry, it will be here before you know it. When I first started with my ticker it said 4 months, 4 weeks and some odd # of days. It seemed like it was SOOO far away, but now it only seems like that was a few weeks ago. :yay:

:welcome::disrocks: I have made a lot of friend on the disboard too.. and got to meet a bunch of them. Will meet some more in just a few weeks at the Pop...
casual Disboard meet... Pop Century Food court.. August 16th at 4:00pm!:hippie:

So, who will be at POP anytime between 8/24 and 9/1???? I would LOVE to meet some of you awesome people!!!! :woohoo:

So excited we leave in 12 days. Pop here we come. Not to sure about the heat as a NY girl our summers are not to hot.. This year as been the hottest in a long time. Booked preferred room requested 60's building. stayed in 70s last time with view of parking lot. hopefully better view this year.

Maybe I'm not crazy then!! There is something wrong with the voltage! I spent the week with wet hair pulled up in a bun/pony. It literally would not dry!

Last week they were working on Building 3 which is in the 50's. Not sure about the other 50's buildings or their schedule for completion.

I thought the same thing  and DH told me it was b/c of the type of plug they have installed by the sink. I always travel with an extension cord (you never know when you may need it!) so I plugged my hair dryer into that and plugged the extension cord into the wall that faces the bed closest to the bathroom (right under the framed decade artwork) so I could still use the mirror over the sink. That did the trick! :woohoo: It worked just as strongly as it does when I am home from that point on. Who wants to waste extra time drying your hair when you can be in the parks!?!

I never even thought to try a different electrical outlet in the room! :rolleyes1

Will give it a shot when we go next month. Will have a teenage girl with me and if the hairdryer doesn't work....heaven help us.....

I've done a Keratin treatment on my hair and hopefully that will kill the fuzzies this year. It worked well through the last Sydney summer, which is not unlike Florida.
