ooh I love it! Are these magnetic decals? Are they reusable? I've never seen anything like that. We just write on the windows. Your van looks like a newer version of my 2001 Chevy Venture.

The decals are the ones you can buy for bedroom walls from Walmart or Home depot, or wherever. Unfortunatly, removing them kind of stretches them out a bit, so they are not reusable in this case.

They stick really well, lasted through torrential rainstorms, and stayed put through the trip, but when it was time to come off, they just peeled up without any tools or marks left behind!

This year we are having decals printed custom, (mostly due to not being able to purchase what we wanted, so we just found it on the net converted them and sent them to a print shop). You can easily find Princess and Tink decals all over the place (look in the paint section).

And our van is a Pontiac Montana Sv6, which is pretty much a newer Chevy Venture :) so you are right there!!!

Kelly that is a great question, I was looking at getting gift baskets for my 3 children and my mother in law. I want them to be in the room when we arrive. I emailed betsy gift baskets and she said she would check with the resort. But I haven't heard back from her for quite a few days now so I am guessing she couldn't have them delivered to our room prior to check in. I wanted the "wow" factor so that when we opened the door there would be the baskets. Just a little extra magic. Anyone have any suggestions. I know disney florist do something like this but they seem very expensive?

Two things... first... Yes, call them and tell them what you've planned. You might not have to go that far with the extra night. It is NOT true that they will not LET you check in prior to 3:00pm. If your room is ready, no matter what time it is, you can go in. We have almost always checked in prior to 3:00pm. We typically arrive around noon, but when we fly, we arrive at 8:30, ME gets us there by 9:30 and we have checked in before. Remember, check out time is what? 11:00am, but many people have early flights and are gone by then, so their rooms get cleaned sooner. They just can't GUARANTEE that they can have the room ready early.

I was going to tell you that ME will bring your luggage when they bring it, which is usually after you arrive. However, you're international, and you have to go through customs, so I am not sure if ME picks up your luggage for you or if you have to retrieve it and bring it to the ME check-in yourself. :confused3 We usually check-in and then go to the parks as our luggage usually arrives a while later.. but it shows up in our room like Magic!! :wizard:

Yes the lobby will be decorated and there is Christmas music playing through out the resort over the speaker system.

I tried a couple of years ago and was told that they do not deliver to Pop. The only cakes available there are the pre-made ones. If you want a custom cake and you are either not eating at a restaurant they deliver to or you do not want it delivered you can order to pick up at either Main St. Bakery in MK or at the Boardwalk bakery.

Thanks looks like we will skip the cake idea. She wants to eat at t-rex maybe I can just get a desert there and call it good.

We have a package with free QSDP for our 10 day stay. My step son is coming to for a couple of days. I was going to rent a room only discount room for him since he is a FL resident.

But would like to get the room for the entire 10 day stay. Is there away to get connecting rooms he is 19? So we have more adults than kids. If not I may just rent him a room for 2 nights that he is there. I don't want to pay for the room for 10 days if it isn't connecting my girls are 5 and 2.

Just planned a quick trip for Sept. 30- Oct. 4, Going to MNSSHP and Food and Wine. Won't be at POP much except to sleep. Have stayed here before and think POP has one of the better food courts for breakfast.

If you are interested in having a freshly baked cake delivered to Everything POP you can call the Pop Century Cake Line directly at 407-938-3070. If she is not available to take your call, you can leave Yvonne (sp?;very sweet and helpful CM) a voice mail message and she will return your call.

Cakes come from Boardwalk Bakery now and are picked up early every morning and delivered to POP.

Cakes can be personalized with name and greeting, but are limited to simple icing-type decorations (flowers, mickey heads) and/or Mickey confetti. (No characters, special orders, "artsy" cakes, etc.)

They are available in 6" or 8". The 6" comes in vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting OR chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling and frosting. With the 8" you can also choose a white or dark chocolate filling instead of the buttercream.

Cakes are $21.00 for 6" and $32.00 for 8" and require at least a 24 hour notice.

I have to add that they are absolutely the most moist and yummy cakes ever! My DGD was thrilled and surprised both times that we ordered and it was great to celebrate and then have the leftover cake in our room. :thumbsup2

You can see pics and details of a vanilla cake on the first page of this thread. HTH

Thanks I just wanted a Mickey head cake so that sounds great. I will give a call in a couple of weeks since our trip will be closer.

KELLY-
Posted this pic to clarify. The Mickey heads I was referring to are just the cute little icing ones - see the side of the cake.

To get the big Mickey head cake you'd have to pick it up at the bakery. These are just plain, yummy, melt-in-your mouth buttercream frosting cakes - nothing "artsy."

Sure, call up and say you want this additional room, and that it must connect with yours. If it is available as such, they will book it that way.

We did that. We had a party of 16 for my friend's son's 14th birthday at T-Rex on March 30th of this year. They did make it special yet abided by his request not to be made a big deal (14 boys can be so self concious can't they?). They took their dessert... I think it was the Chocolate Extinction and put birthday candles in it. I think they also wrote on the plate with chocolate. It was quite yummy and all the kids loved it. The manager there, Dawn Anderson was just super. She made everything special and did very well managing our large group. Ask for her. Say a Disboard friend sent you!

note: the mother of the birthday boy was the 2nd grade teacher of said lovely manager!

Hi
Quick question about POP, Me and my girlfriend are arriving in September(After Labor day) for 14 days to POP. I was a little surprised to see that only abot 80 rooms have a king size bed apart from the 2800 other rooms. As we are traveling alone, only the 2 of us. I'm wondering what is the chance of getting a king bed room?
I already requested it at the reservation, will also request 10 days prior directly at POP. But I know that requests are not guaranteed, so what is the probability of getting one?
Thanks

We spent twelve days at Pop in for Christmas 2007 (12/17-28.) We brought a small artificial Christmas tree for our room, decorated our window and door! Don't forget to visit the other hotels to see their decorations too. We spent Christmas day resort hopping...got our picture taken with Mickey & Minnie @WL! :santa:

Out of five trips DH and I have received a king bed 2 times after requesting. Please also note that some of the King rooms are handicap with roll in shower. So if a tub is important you need to mention that you want a King room with a tub. The room may still be handicap accessible but have a tub.

Don't forget Fort Wilderness. Its famous for the elaborate decorations that guests put up at their campsites. I'm hoping the decorations will be up when we arrive for Thanksgiving week.

Hi! I will be staying at Pop for 6 nights starting the day after Labor Day. Am trying to decide on what to request. First priority is a quiet room, second on the wish list is a refurbished room. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
