Just back today !!! Not that this is strictly a Pop thing !! Does everyone know you csn check in on line ahead of time ????At Pop as you walk in fromthe front into the lobby there is now a sign that pints you oneway to regular check in and the other to online check in !!! It was sooooo quick ! They have your folder already and my room at leastwas ready at 11a.m.Al you need is picture ID!!!! My TA did it for me !!!

You are welcome !! My TA did it !! Ihad not heard of it till she called nd asked for some info!! I literally was in and out eveything was ready!!!

Thanks for this info, Do you know how far out you can check in. We have two ressies, linked together. We are trying to get connecting rooms, would we be better off waiting and checking in when we get there????

Did you book thru a TA? If so check with her/him! Mine called me about a week before my trip, which makes sense as rooms are assigned 3 - 5 days ahead !! I have no info on how you do it but I can ask my TA this week !!It seems to be a new thing which I am sure will become popular as it is a huge timesaver unless it gets so popular that the line is as long a regular check in ! For me it was perfect!!

You probably already know this, but make sure you request connecting NOW, on your reservation. It helps for them to know that in advance. Personally, if you need to double check that the room assigned fits your needs, I'd want to talk to someone. If the advanced check-in can't change room assignments (don't know if they can or not) you might want to handle it the old fashioned way. LOL

Vicky, I've decided to go for it and check-in online and we have the same scenario as you, two ressies linked and want our children (although 19, 16, & 13) to be adjoining. You can check-in online 10 days out. We return on 6/25 and I will report what we received. I don't really care about which building so I didn't have any other request made at the time of booking.

You can check in 10 days prior, but the system is still having problems and I still read alot of people not being able to yet. When I went it was just starting and they didn't have a seperate line when I checked in (I did it the old fashion way, but still looked.)

You cannot make any requests for room with the online check in. That should be made in your origional reservation. You can fax a reminder type note about 4-5 days prior to leaving of what you are hoping to get.

With wanting two room connecting, I would make sure that is on the reservation now and then check in the old fashion way.

I am curious to see how you make out. We also have two reservations and my only request was connecting rooms. Our DD19 is in the other room, so I want to be sure our rooms are connecting, or at the very least next to each other.I would rather use the online check in if possible...on our first visit to Pop, I had to wait forever in the check in line (we arrived around 5:30 pm and will arrive around 6:30 - 7:00 pm this trip)

I personally would. I have done it the last two trips and been happy. But of course it's not guarenteed.

Just a heads up, although you probably are aware already, adjoining rooms are supposed to be side by side, not the same as connecting in WDW Resort terminology. If you want rooms with a door in between then that would be connecting. An adjoining room should be next door, but could be anywhere nearby and sometimes the resort will put you in different parts of the same bldg, but not even close - so the request is not really honored or perhaps not noticed.

When picking up your resort keys and paperwork, be sure to reiterate to the CM any requests - even if a guest uses on line check-in, room assignments can be changed.

We just booked POP standard room for the 12th of Oct to the 17th,me and my DS are pack to POP for the second time this year

Ha! I am going back again this year as well...I just got back 2 weeks ago from a trip with the hubby and just booked to go back in Sept. for free dining... YeaY!!

I am going again in Sept too!! This time with the family ! We put connecting rooms and 60's not1st floor ! Mine this time was solo and my requests were 1st floor, 50,60,or70's I got 1st floor 50's !! We definately need connecting rooms so am gonna recheck with my TA that connecting is #1 on the requests !!!I'll be interestedo see how the online is working for everyone !!

OK, I know I just said this like two posts ago... but I just have to say it again! I'm going back to Disney in September!! We are taking advantage of the free dining promo, and it seems to be a really good deal! We just got back last week and we went on the 7 for 4 promo...but I'm thinking that the free dining is looking like a better deal! Anyway, we were thinking about trying a moderate this time, but at the last minute I thought "why spend an extra $500 bucks, when I already know that PoP is fantastic!?!) So we are staying at PoP again!

You got the connecting part right but adjoining rooms are not anywhere nearby or in different parts of the same building. They are not down the hall from each other or on different floors. Adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to each other. They share an interior wall but have no door connecting the two rooms. If adjoining rooms could be in different parts of the same building then every room in every building would be adjoining rooms.
