CERTAINLY!!! When you check in, the CM will ask what credit card you would like to use for charging privilages. Then your room key or KTTW card, will be activated for charging privilages. (Key To The World card.) Pop has a limit of $500. What that means is, when you charge up to $500, that amount will be charged to your card and you start over again. So really there is no limit. MOST places all over WDW property accepts room charging privilages. Few exceptions would be like hair braiding kiosks, or some of the small toy carts. HTH

But if you wanted you could hand them cash and have them put that on the card, correct? If it's cash, is it still 500? And is it 500 total or 500 per card?

 $500 per room. Yep, a guest can give them cash as well. :) Once the limit is reached you can go to the front desk and pay the balance or part of it and the limit will be restored based on what has been paid.

Have a great trip!! :goodvibes

I have edited together a 2 minute overview of our first ever trip to WDW and popped it onto You Tube for those who are interested.

I have included a bit of the big jukebox at Pop Century where we stayed, and I hope to add more of the resort in the coming days. So this is WDW from the past 2 weeks:

Now that was really cool! :thumbsup2

I think Disney should hire you to make commercials. Watching that makes me really want to go!

We charged things back to our room at Pop and it worked nicely. You can even charge on your last day after you have checked out of your room.

Thanks!!! You guys are soooo helpful. I can't wait to our trip. I am finishing up last minute planning and I get even more excited every day.

You sure can....you'll get your "key to the world" card when you check in that is your key for your room, tickets to the park and your charge card (IF you attach a credit card to it when you check in) and then you just use that one card your whole vacation. Not sure what the limit is, but I seem to remember that you start with $500 and you have to add on later, if you need/want to. FYI, you can also purchase things at the gift shops in the parks and have it sent to your room so you don't have to carry it with you! Hope this helps and have a great trip!!:wizard:

Just a correction...things are sent to your resort, but not your room. So at Pop there is a package pickup area in side the gift shop.

you got it! :thumbsup2 Its $500 per room.
But if you are close to $500 and purchase something and its declined, you can call Pop and have them charge that amount to your credit card and then you will be back to zero again. I've seen it happen before in gift shops and the CM will tell the guest "your room charge was declined". The guest usually will respond "how can that be??" Then the CM will call the Front Desk and have them charge it to the card and zero out your balance then re-run the transaction.

I try to go down to the front desk every few days during my trip to see how close I am to $500 and have them charge it if I'm close. We go for around 2 weeks when we go and I've been at dinner a few times and found out I was at $500.00, we always make sure we also have our CC with us. It just makes it easier to put on the room and have less charges.

I figured I would ask the POP experts about this. Can you charge to your room? If we are in the parks and purchase something, can we charge it to our room at POP? If we can what is the limit? I thought I read that you can but I just wanted to make sure before our trip. TIA!!!

We were at Pop in April and I reached my limit at the World of Disney Store in DTD. The CM offered to call Pop for me. They charge the first $500 to your card and then start on a new $500 limit. The call took about 2 minutes and was absolutely no hassle. The CM was happy to help and I got to keep spending with no problem!

My family just returned from Pop Century this past Tuesday. I just had to post and say what a great experience we had with this hotel. We stayed at Carribbean Beach Resort on our last trip three years ago, and Pop wins by a landslide. We would never go back to CBR if we have Pop as a choice. We arrived around 2:30 PM on Tuesday, April 28th, and did not have to stand in line for check-in for very long. We had not requested a location, only connecting rooms which was very important to us. We were given our rooms and they were on the backside of the furthest 50s building. We knew immediately that this was the furthest away, and after some discussion we decided to go back up to the counter and see if we could be moved a little closer as we were travelling with two young children. The cast members were very accomodating and spent some time trying to find us connecting rooms again. We ended up in Rooms 6226 and 6227 in the Mickey Mouse phone building near the elevators. This was a great location for us.

Bus service the whole time we were there was great. Actually, the worst bus wait we had was at the Wilderness Lodge when we had eaten there and were trying to get to Epcot and waited about 20 minutes! We stayed one night at MK until after Wishes and upon arrival at the bus stops at MK, the empty spot #17 and Pop's #18 were both being used for Pop. We only waited about ten minutes or so for a bus and at one point there were two buses at each stop loading for Pop.

We cannot sing enough praises for this resort. We decided to downsize from a moderate this trip to save money, and I am pretty sure that the only way we won't stay here again is if we can afford a deluxe! Thanks for all the good information on this board that helped make my decision where to stay! Also, if you have any questions about things there currently, feel free to ask.
