thanks I will! I hope to stay in the 50's building 3 to see illumnations! Oh! One more thing Thank you for everything! JerseyJanice for the info!

You're welcome, sweetie.

And a big Pop :welcome: to you, RivieraMaya!

You two are leaving in just a few weeks! You must be so excited!

Happy Easter! I sorta wish that I was there but part of me is glad that I'm not. It's cold and rainey here - so un-Easter like weather.

Happy Easter everyone!

Thank you so much for your help jenseib, MelanieC, and Buckeye Gal!

I did see those great pics in the first thread, I just wanted to make sure there was a close locker-shower proximity. POR was pretty much toilet stalls, sinks, showers- with no where to keep your bag. Seems like POP has it all figured out.

And thanks for the welcome TJM1976!

Sorry to thank you as a group, but I don't think I have enough posts yet for the whole "quoting" thing. I think maybe this post gets me there though.

:welcome: There are a small # of King rooms at Pop. But since there are 2 in your party, and you made the request, you might get lucky. I would also suggest inquiring when you check in if you were assigned a King room. If not, ask if there is one available that you would really prefer a king. Usually if you ask nicely and friendly, they will find you one.

Make sure you start thinking about your ADR's (advance dining reservations). Most places start taking ressies 90 days in advance. Since its "free dining" season, restaurants may fill quickly.

Thanks! That is good advice.
I've been reading menus and looking at food pictures so much lately and have most of our restaurants picked out. I can't wait 'til the August hours come out so I can finalize where we will be each day. Only a few more weeks! :yay:

We are off to Pop first time may 2nd -9th and cant wait...I wanted to ask...why do you think Pop is more popular? What makes people want to go back there over the all stars resorts? We have only ever been to all star movies so Im dying to find out what POP is like. Is there that much of a difference?

Happy Easter, Pop fans!

Love the picture and the sentiment, Buckeye Gal. Thanks for posting it. :flower3:

Happy Easter JerseyJanice! Guess what! Last year I had free Dining! I can't wait! Our family are excited! JerseyJanice you're cool! Oh! One more thing I need to know is the parking it is free for the disney resort guest!

Edited: Parking is free at the resorts and the parks. Whoops.

Parking is free at the resorts for disney resort guests, but is not free at the parks, unless you have an Annual Pass. i think that's right. Someone else could verify this for me?

No. Parking at the parks is free for resort guests.

No. Parking at the parks is free for resort guests.

:flower3: My apologies. We don't drive down, but I remember my mother talking about getting an Annual Pass next time we go, so that we don't have to pay. I forgot that was in conjunction with getting timeshare.. which would be off property. Thank you for the correction, Alesia!

I apologize again for the misinformation, and have edited my post. :scared:

:welcome: Janell

I've stayed in all levels of resorts at WDW and found Pop wonderful last year. It exceeded my expectations, and I hope it will for you too.

Yes, there is an armoire that houses the TV. It has drawers and shelves for your things.

Yes, there is a long closet rack in the corner of the sink part of the room. It has hangers.

Last August, Pop was in the process of replacing what appeared to be all the mattresses at the resort. We got brand new ones after our first night at the resort and found them very comfortable.

I didn't notice any problem whatsoever with water pressure there last year.

The elevators are in the middle of each building behind that building's icon. All the buildings are "T" shaped and the elevators are located in the crux of the "T".

Sorry, no lotion. You get shampoo and soap, but no lotion or bodywash.

Thank you for all your help. This is all great things to know. One so I know what to expect and two, so I know what to pack.

I foundthe shower water pressure great. Even forceful. But the sink pressure was really wimpy.
I have a horrid back too. But of course not every needs the same treatments and mattresses for their bad backs. I can never sleep on any hotle mattresses. I ach and it even kills my hips. I usually bring along an airmatress to sleep on alot of times. Well Pop is the only hotel I've NEVER had a problem with. I don't knowif I'm so tired or if they really are comfy. Again each person is different too.

Don't call Pop a week before. Just put it on you reservation now. If you want to follow up, send a fax. The fax goes right to pop (so I am told) but the calls go to a center.

I am sorry you too have back problems. I have tired the air mattress but it doesn't work for me, what works for me is this

I love anything memory foam. It does take up a suite case, but you can pack other things in it. But it saves me from being a gump the whole trip due to my back hurting. So its well worth it.

I now carry this with me in the parks to help my back and when you squeeze the air out, its small and fits in your bag easily. The tough part is remembering to take it with you. But it adds a few more pain free hours to my day.

I do have the king size on our reservations. I will look at faxing. I have read somewhere where you call the reservation line and ask for room assignment and they transfer you? Not sure, never tired it. They say its good to do it no more then 10 days before you arrive, due to the room assignment CM don't get your info till 10 before you show up. Again this is only something I read on line and haven't tired it yet. May not even work. lol

They don't assign your room till 3 days prior to your trip. And they won;t tell you your room until you check in. Even on check in day it could be chaged or switched if someone else really wants that room spot who comes earlier than you.
I read to fax 4 days prior to your trip. We always arrive on a Sunday and we fax on the Wed prior.
