The GROOVIER New Pop Century FAQ Thread Chapter 2! ~ Post #1 is a must see!

My family is headed to Pop Century for the first time in a few weeks. We are really hoping for connecting rooms as it will make things much easier for babysitting purposes and sharing a refridgerator. I was just wondering if this request is usually granted. I have even considered asking for a King Size bed in one of the rooms if that would increase our chances of getting connecting rooms. What are people's experiences with this request?

A couple more random questions...What is the status of online check-in for Pop? Also, can you buy milk by the half gallon or quart anywhere in Everything Pop? We like to eat breakfast in our room most days.

Thanks in advance for any feedback. :flower3:

They say if you have more children than adults you are pretty much gauranteed connecting! But never assume always request! You can add it on as a request to your ressie and tell them why you are requesting it! Then you can also fax a request 5 days prior to your arrival with connecting rooms preferred and a section that you would like to be in if you would like to requesta specific decade! Also yes they have half gallons of milk I think they were like $3! I send a request via fax 5 days prior and i also have it noted on my original ressie and I have had much luck with this! :thumbsup2 Not sure about the online ressie thing though I read it says you can do it 10 days prior to arrival date! Hope this helps you! ;)

Does anyone know if you can buy a bottle or can of beer or some wine or something at Pop Century to take to your room at the end of the night?

I was just thinking when we get back from the parks it might be nice sometimes to just pick up a bottle before heading to your room.

I don't recall if I saw wine or not but I definitely saw beer. :thumbsup2 It was a bit pricey though.

Can anyone tell me if there are ceiling fans in the rooms at POP? I will just die if I do not have my ceiling fan!!!

We are booked to stay at Pop August 6th through 15th. Before, I wasn't too worried about space because we only had two adults and a 11 year old. Now, we will have three adults and an 11 year old. Are we gonna be super cramped together in the room?

It could feel cramped, but if you listen to a lot of the organization tips you find on the tip boards and you spend a lot of time away from the rooms, you might be able swing it. Just make sure you make use of every bit of the space in the rooms, such as the drawers and closet area (if you aren't bothered by putting your stuff in the drawers). Now if you all stay in your room a lot or just have a TON of stuff, I could see it feeling cramped. I would definitely suggest taking a tension rod and curtain to hang up between the room/vanity area. Looks like you will need some extra privacy. Good luck with your decision!

mickeyholic, I love fans too so I always take a small one that will fit on the nightstand and aim it at my face. BTW, the a/c works just fine in spite of some posts that say otherwise and I like the room refrigerator cool. :goodvibes

I don't think one extra person will make that big of a difference. We had 4 in a room in 2007 and I didn't think we were too crowded. I did put all our clothes in the drawers and hung a lot in the closet area too, using the shelf above the closet area as well. We also added a fridge to the room thanks to a fridge swap and really never felt cramped at all.

Thanks for your opinions. We are hardly ever in our room the whole ten days we are there. We do sleep in at least one day. I always tell my husband that I would love to be the mousekeeper who cleans up after us as we are tidy travelers.

I can't wait to stay in POP next Month! OH! One more thing this hotel is right for the Sanchez Family?

Just booked Pop for June 16-26 2010!!!!!!!

We were supposed to go back this August, but decided to head to northern MN instead and rent a cabin :)

Does anyone know if the coffee creamers at POP are 1/2 & 1/2 or non-dairy?

Do they require refrigeration?:tinker:

I can't remember if it was 1/2 & 1/2 or non-dairy but I do remember that it was in a machine. You just pushed on a handle and it came out. I assume it is kept cold in there.

Oh, bummer. In the past at other WDW resorts we'd stop at the food court on the way to the room for the night and grab a few of those 1/2 & 1/2 creamers to take with us to have in our coffee in the morning. They only had that dry creamer in the rooms.

(We are bringing a small coffee maker with us)

I can't say that they didn't have the little creamers but I didn't use them so I don't remember if they have them. Did that just make any sense?:rotfl:
