We decided to switch our October reservation from the ASMu Family Suite to Pop. We just loved it there and decided that we would be fine in a regular room!! Can't wait to go back.

:wave2: Hi everybody! I haven't posted much since our Halloween trip because it looked like it would be a WHOLE YEAR til we were able to go again - for free dining next September. :hourglass

Then I got this email...with a really good PIN code...and it's been a lousy winter...and I got to thinkin...:scratchin...and I called just out of curiousity...and I got a really good deal for just DGD13 and me for spring break (Yes, I said spring break - me, who avoids crowds at at costs!)...and I put a hold on the ressie to check air prices...Well, I got a really good deal on a flight for us...And I have a little $ left from what I had saved (for years!) for my dining room set (then bought one on sale)...

So, I think we'll be heading to POP for a little much-needed :beach: March 21-27! Well, maybe...I'm not sure yet. Still want to get a feel for crowds, but I know booking is down or Disney wouldn't be offering these great deals.

Anyway, I have til Feb. 5 to make up my mind! I want to...I shouldn't...I want to...:rotfl2:

Hey Barb,
Good for you! Take the plunge and enjoy yourself. What was the deal with the pin code? Did you get it via mail or email? If there's a good one floating around I'll be sure to check my email/mail box carefully. Thanks and have a great trip!!:beach:

Hi all! I just returned from Pop Century and....IT WAS AMAZING!!! :cool1: ....Thanks Buckeye Gal for all your hard work on keeping this thread updated! :cheer2: :cheer2: It was an invaluable resource for our trip!

Excellent!! I'm so glad you had an awesome time!

You're most welcome, btw. It's my pleasure to help us all stay current! :)

The specific dimensions of the safe are noted in Post #1 under the "CLASSIC YEARS’ ROOMS (1950’s – 1990’s)" section. Go to Page 1, and do a search ( [Cntrl]+[F] ) for "safe", and it will quickly appear. There are also links there for pictures of the safe with items in it. You really need to do the measurements of your laptop's footprint and keep in mind you need to angle it in the safe to get it in. My Dell Inspiron's battery bumps out around an inch on the back side of the unit, so it makes the footprint a little larger than some laptops with the same screen size.

Do you have a laptop lock? that's always an alternative so it doesn't walk away. Certainly not the same as locking it up since someone could take pieces and parts, but that would require a lot more effort on a thief's part. Here's a picture of one. You just need to attach it to a permanent fixture. We're required to use them at work, and I have one for my personal laptop, too. If I'm just running in and out of a hotel room throughout the day, I always use it.

I'm not sure if Pop will take on the responsibility of valuables in their care or not. Frankly, I cannot imagine they would. However, I'm sure someone here has asked the question and can give you a factual answer. :)

I love, love, love staying at the Pop Century. I have been there 3 times and in a different portion every time. This last trip would have to be my least favorite so far though. First, I am a child of the 80's so I really enjoyed it for that reason (as I stayed in the 80's section). What I didn't like was how far away it seemed I was from everything. I have stayed in the 50's and 70's and it never took me more than a couple of minutes to get to Everything POP but this time, I couldn't find a shortcut. Oh well. It gave me a chance to warm-up before my races.

I will definately be going again!

Have any of you ever had a case of water delivered from Costco?

I posted on the original thread re: ordering from Costco about how to address the label, but I haven't had any replies yet... I need to order by Monday to make sure it's there when we check in on Thursday.

So, if any of you have ordered & had anything delivered to the resort, just wondering what I should put to make sure that I get the water, and that it makes it to the resort! I don't have a Disney confirmation # since I booked thru AAA!

I have booked with AAA the last two years and still have a confirmation number. Did you get your documents? It would be on that for sure.

Speaking of documents...How early have you all been getting them lately. I'm hoping ours comes in the next week or so.

Does anyone know what the uptodate advice is for room/block requests. Is it still 4-6 days before arrival for ringing them?

Thanks :)

Yeah, I did figure it out today. I didn't even think to look in my travel docs.

My AAA travel agent told me, "They come like, 2 weeks before your trip." So I was like, "Um, no, they come about 3 or 4 weeks before..." And they came 3 1/2 weeks before. :thumbsup2

Hi! I'll be staying at pop for the third time in March, but have a question I haven't had to deal with before. We need to split some people up a little and was wondering if they have rollaway beds that we can rent?

No roll a ways, and only 4 people in a room or 5 wit han child under 3 in a crib. You can try an airmatress though.

Has anyone else heard this?? Someone was shipping a package to the resort and they charged them $5 . I would pay more than that to hold something for me! Just thought this might get this back to the first page!

Got my documents today! YAY!
For those wondering, the gift card does not come with it, nor does a voucher. It has items starred on the invoice, and it states at the bottom that all starred items are recieved at check in, the gift card being one of them.

Are Monster Energy Drinks available at the POP food court? If not....can they be found anywhere else on Disney property? My future daughter-in-law is addicted to the stuff.

Any confirmation on the fee for packages ??

Can't confirm but heard that a fee was coming at all resorts. I don't blame them since so many are shipping down in advance to avoid airline surcharge.
