Not sure if this is possible or not or if it has been asked...I am HIGHLY allergic to most laundry detergents. Not sure what POP uses, but would I be able to request that they use a certain detergent to wash our sheets in? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

Absolutely!!! ::yes:: Special Needs can have your linens washed and the room cleaned without chemicals. After you have a reservation call:

Special Resort Reservations: 407-939-7807 # 1

The CM's are wonderful and will block a room and have it ready and cleaned for you.

Hope this helps!!

By looking at the resort map it looks to me like the 80's section all the way over by the parking lot would be the furthest building from Classic Hall. Am I correct in thinking this? If so, how long of a walk do you feel it would be? What about the end sections by the lake in the 70's and 60's locations?

We are staying at Pop for the second time in 16 days time, cannot wait!! :cool1:

Last time we stayed in 70's block, 3rd floor lake view room. If we can't get this location this time, where else should we request?

Thanks :)

Somethings I noticed.
The smoking section by the Petals bar is no longer there.
No more aplle juice at the fountains. I asked and the CM told me it must've just happened because she didn't even realize it.
No diet caffiene free pop at fountains. It was like that last March too, but I have heard others say they have seen it, so maybe it comes and goes?
If I think of other things I'll post them.
No apple juice?? Do they have any kind of juice now as I'm not keen on fizzy drinks.

thanks x

Hopefully you will get your request, but if you don't the 60's and 50's have some very quiet lakeview rooms we have stayed in that you might request.

From page one of this thread: :)

Standard vs. Preferred
  • Preferred Rooms
    • "Preferred" refer to the location of the room on the property and nothing more; they do not refer to views, size, or amenities
    • these are rooms in buildings closest to Classic Hall (500 ft or less)
    • preferred rooms are not necessarily THAT much closer the bus stop; see "Property Info" section in this post and/or a wonderful posting from DISer Simba77 that maps out the distance from the center of the bus stop area to the center of each era
      • '60s = 840 feet
      • '80s = 945 feet
      • '90s = 945 feet
      • '70s = 950 feet
      • '50s = 980 feet

Thanks Minnie&Nana for your helpful information! Do I need to go ahead and call to request this- my trip is in 6 weeks or wait until the week I leave?:)

The only non "fizzy" drinks I noticed were lemonade, iced tea, powerade, and frozen coke & blue raspberry.

They did have apple juice and orange juice available, but it was botted so you have to purchase it separately.

Poweraide in those fountain drinks is new, DH drinks a lot of it and they have never had it before. Wonder if they did a survey and people rated the drinks they had in there :confused3

They also sell Vitamin Water, but you have to purchase that sep. like the bottles of OJ and apple juice. I know the Vita Water is $3 a bottle all over the parks and resorts.

I assume they still have coffee and hot water for tea available though.[/QUOT

Ooops, I wasn't even thinkning about the Hot beverages(I don't drink them when it's hot... sorry) Yes they did have coffee, and hot water for tea, I also think they had hot cocoa as well.

We are booked at POP in May, mine and the kids 2nd time, DH's 1st time. Anyway-DH hates a long walk so this time we booked a preferred room.
Can anyone tell me where to request that is semi quiet and a not far walk to the kiddie splash area near the hippy dippy pool? Thanks so much!

The semi quiet and preferred request makes me think the 70's preferred rooms might be best for both location to Hippy Dippy pool plus the Goofy splash area. That is the Mickey bldg and Big Wheel bldg in 70's.

The 60's bldg is probably only a bit noisy if you have a pool front view. When I was in the 80's section and faced the pool area, I heard kids screaming in the pool pretty late into the night. But u won't get that in the 70's section. The 50's is quiet too, but a bit farther to the Goofy play area----not much though if you're preferred.
