Negative. You will need to take a cab.

I've not used it, since we aren't early risers, but was told that they have early shuttles that are made for early ADR's, but they may go from resort to resort, so it could take sime time. Ask at the desk or ask a bus driver about it and where to catch them. since Disney promotes their transportation, they usually don't leave you hanging. If they have early ADR's available they have to make it so you can get to them.

Lovin this thread! I have a 2 yr. old that naps lightly, and DD 1 with ADHD that freaks and tunes in to every noise, so I think that a lakeside room would be our best bet???? I know there is going to be noise everywhere, just trying to think of the best places. Right now we are standard, but don't might upgrading if it will help our girls sleep. Any advice to the best lakeview areas to request? Would love 60's with a view of the fireworks, it's also close to the kiddie pool. THinking 4th floor would be quieter, are the elevators a hassle? Any experience from anyone?

We driving, and are going to play out the bus system by ear... Is it free to park car at outher restorts for the day? I.E. Breakfast at Ohana, then leave car at Poly, monorail to MK, and then take monorail back to Poly at end of day????

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go with standard, those wil lget you back by the lake or quieter locations. Ask for 50's if you want fireworks.

No you can't leave your car at the resort all day. I know this, becuase it was going to be our plan 2 years ago. We had earlier chef mickey's so we drove over and then planned to leave the car at CR for a couple of hours and go play at MK. Well when we drove into CR they ask you name and why you are there, and then give you a temporarly parking pass (I beleive good for 3 hours) to park there. Now I'm not sure if they check up on these things or not, but I sure didn't want our rental towed. So we drove back and caught the bus to MK. Actually DH and DD went back to sleep for a couple of hours and I went off by myself for a couple of hours! :flower3:

Quick Question for the experts and those who have stayed recently:

I remember awhile back seeing threads that Pop was charging guests if they decorated their windows. Did that end up being true? Do people still do it? We are going for DS's 6th bday and I wanted to do something (probably window clings, or at the most a sign hung with clear tape that I would remove before check out) Is this still OK??

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kristin

While this will be my first stay at Pop Century (actually first ever 'on-site'), I did request a room far away from the main building-----a quieter room racing the lake------and made it known that distance/stairs, etc. would not be a problem. No guarantees of course. . .

:offtopic: Off topic here. . .but. . . I'll be there this Saturday!!! (Just got a call at work from Garden Grocer, confirming my order) I'm sorry. . . I'm just getting a little bit excited here!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Be sure to come back here and let us know if you got your request or not. It sounds like you want a room similiar to me. Hope you get it! Have fun!

I wouldn't have a problem with wherever they put me, I don't mind the walk. Dh however thinks that it would be a sin to have to walk extra so a preferred room it is.

Your husband would have hated the walk we had at POR last year. It was at least 10 minutes to the food court. haha.

Our family love POP Century! OH! One More thing Can we buy some passes in the POP century?

We were there in August, I decorated 3 windows with signs (used the rubber suction cup hooks) and nothing was said to me and I was not charged anything. I believe the only reason you would be charged is if you used the window markers or did not clean up after yourself

Never heard that before. I think the only time you would be charged is if you had the resort decorate your room prior to arrrival. I'm not even sure Pop would do it. But now with the birthday celebration stuff going on, I know you can pre buy decorations, I just don;t know if they decorate for you or if you do it. I always decoarte our door with magnets and put our twoel animals in the window. If I don't mousekeeping does.

If you mean park passes, yes. Got to the concierge desk to buy them.

This was guest last year who had used car markers or something to decorate. It caused quite a stir (which I don't mean to restart :flower3: ) but I never followed up to see if it happened to others.

Again, I am just talking window clings or a sign, no markers in my decorating!:)

Disney Resorts stated several months ago that there would be a fee charged for decorating room windows. There was a few posts of guests who had been warned, but think this is another Disney unenforced rule.

No doubt some guests took to decorating a bit too much, then left the clean-up for housekeeping. :sad2:

Yes, that's the only time I heard of it being a problem. If it was the same person, I think they said they got a phone call and were asked to clean/remove their decorations off the window or they would be charged. Which makes sense to me. That stuff should come off easily, but the mousekeeper shouldn't really have to worry about scrubbing stuff off the windows.

We used window clings to make the room easier for the kids to recognize. Just peeled them off and stuck them back on the cardboard to take home. And the mousekeepers even decorated the window with the kids toys a few times, so I'm sure non-messy decorating is allowed.

Came back from POP a few weeks ago...There were windows and doors decorated and even some lights around the windows on a few rooms.

Wow, I never heard that before. We do door magnets, but are planning to bring along some window clings this year too. I wonder if I should bring windex along as well?

I really wouldn't worry about it. Just be sure to remove everything before check out! :thumbsup2

We stayed at POP last week and were in the 50's - Room 3432. We had an excellent view of the fireworks every night and it was pretty quiet. We used the elevators all the time because we had our daughter in the stroller and didn't find them to be a problem at all.

Room 3432 is an excellent location - we had the room in 2006 and in 2005 room 3213, down the other end.

It is a quiet location (of course one never knows what kind of neighbors we may have), but it is on the other side of the Bowling Pin pool.

I fear if you upgrade to preferred you will be in the noisiest areas.

The backside of building 4, lakeside would be a nice spot, and still be close to the kiddie pool.

Be sure to ask the CM at check in to work with you and explain why. :)

Have a wonderful stay! :goodvibes

it is cheaper to get the Theme Park Passes in POP Century

If you get a multiday pass it will cost the same no matter where you get it (except maybe AAA before the trip)
If you buy your tickets daily, the price wil lbe the same as well, no matter where yo uget them, BUT it will cost more in the long wrong. The more days on a multiday pass, the cheaper per day it becomes.
When are you going? It sounds like you might not be very prepared? Do you have your room reserved for Pop? You could see about turning it into a package. before you go. But if you are going soon, you might want to wait and see if you can do it at checkin.
If you go on the Disney site, and put your days in and chose the tickets only selection it can give you an idea of what the prices are. I don't know if that price on ther shows it with tax or not though.

Jen is right, but you do have another option. www.mousesavers.com has a link for discounted tkts. It is safe and saves about $20. We've used that link, but usually buy our tkts at check-in and they are added to your room key. :)
