Ok...So let me layout the inception of the adventure.
My DW is turning 29 (For the 9th time) on August 29. We also just enjoyed our 5th wedding anniversary...AND I turned 40 this year (For the First Time
)...We have also just recovered from losing all our belongins and house to a tornado in 2006...WE'VE BEEN BUSY!!! So Me, being the rotten ogre of a husband that I am...Have decided to suprise the wife with a trip to one of our favorite places on earth...Disneyworld!
You see, the wife and I have had this escalating series of great birthday/christmas gifts...In fact this Nuclear arms race of gifting is getting out of hand...So I've decided to End the battle with a First Strike she will never be able to match (This year she sent me on a Golf Weekend to a PGA golf Course All expenses PAid...AND the vile villian suprised me with a Glider ride for another Birthday...It's High time I evened the score) Besides, We're going Sans kids...and we deserve to let our inner child run about without it having to get a spanking
So!
I've booked us into the Grand Floridian Grand Palm Honeymoon Suite...Deluxe Dining + Wine...Airfare...a Segway Tour and a VIP day in the MK.
So now, I'm trying to keep my mouth shut...While still making ADR's...While Still setting up events with the Concierge Staff..All the while My ornery Wife is poking about wondering what I'm up to.
So here's the Skinny.
We arrive At the Grand Floridian on Spetemebr 3rd...Cindrella and MAry Poppins are going to meets us in the Lobby and take us to our rooms (Thanks Disney Folks...That's a really wonderful gesture) We're going to go to the MK after we settle in then we've got reservations at NArcosee's for Dinner.
Sept 4 - We wake up late and have a snakc in the concierge lounge then head off to the MK for the mornig. At lunch I've got us eating at Cindy's Royal Table...After lunch maybe a nap, then headoff to epcot for the segway tour. Have ADR's for The Coral Reef at 7:40pm.
Sept 5th - Off to the Animal Kingdom Lunch at Tuskers...then back to the Grand floridian for Dinner (Citrico's). No Idea what to expect on this one. We've never been there.
Sept 6th - VIP day at the MK. Go to the Crystal palace for breakfast...then the Liberty Tree For lunch...and Tobny's Town Tavern for Dinner. I've got high hopes for how this day will play out...I'm told the VIP tour is the bestest thing ever.
September 7th - The Supercalifragulistic Breakfast...then we head home.
So here's the plan of attack. I'm going to get her a Card...and only a card on her birthday...She'll stew on that for a couple of days...then on septemeber 2nd at 11pm...I'm going to tell her to pack for a trip to someplace warm and for a couple of nice dinners if we're lucky. I'm not going to let her know whwere we're going until the absolute last second...And I'm not going to let her in on the extent of the planning until she's in the middle of the fray (so to speak)
So wish me luck...I've been keeping my mouth shut for about 2 months now. It's killing me...Not to mention My mother in law has the biggest mouth in the history of big mouths...She had to know the plan because she's weatching the kids. Oh the tangled webs we weave...

I have no earthly idea how you've kept it a secret this long and have no suggestions for you on how to make it through the next month...
... but I'm sure it will all be worth it. Hopefully she's not on the DIS and you can get all of your Disney planning excitement out here (yippee for us!)
She will have a great time shopping for her new clothes.... she must be so excited!! It will be fun to plan some more Disney things to do together.
