Today we hit Target....yes, AGAIN!! I was able to finish my shopping on the travel sized aisle. This time I started from the back and worked forward to the end of the aisle. When I got there, I pulled the cart to the side so that I could think for a moment on what else I needed since I forgot my list!! DS was playing in the cart and people were passing by looking at us but I paid them no mind. I should tell you here that when we go to any store with DS, we work with him on his letters and numbers. Imagine my surprise when all of a sudden DS says to me rather LOUDLY, "LOOK MOMMY.... 'K'....'Y'!!!" I look down and realized we are standing right next to a large display of some new KY Jelly product and DS is now waving a box around all proudly.

Needless to say, I congratualted him on his letter "find", QUICKLY put the box back on the display and got the heck out of dodge!!
Here is what we got on the travel aisle today...more drugs, a couple things I need and a few things that I don't....
Next, we went over to the kids section to check one more time for any Disney-type T-shirts. Imagine my surprise when we found these!! The 2 t-shirts in the picture have a little square on the bottom that you can push and the Mickey one sings the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" song, and the Cars one has mater saying "Lightning McQueen is my best friend, do you know who my 2nd best friend is?" TOO CUTE!! So I had to buy them both. DS may wear them out before we even go on the trip so I'm thinking of tucking these away in the suitcase.

The other shirt in the picture brings me to my next trip planning dilema.....
We have ressie's at Kona one evening and DH has declaired that we should wear our "Luau outfits". A little backstory.....We USED TO have a Luau at our house for our friends once a year in the summer time. We haven't had one in a couple of years, but I'm hoping to bring the tradition back this summer. Anyway, we decorate the front yard, the back yard, and the inside of the house in a luau theme. I also cook a glazed ham and DH grills chicken with pinapple on top. We serve fruity alcohol beverages for the adults, and real fruit smoothies for the kids. (you can see why we took a couple years off....especially since we always footed the ENTIRE bill.) Last luau myself, dh and ds all had matching outfits. I had ordered a huge wall mural of a Hawaiian beach scene and hung it on the side of our house. I then layed out a blue tarp(s) on the ground and wrapped bright fabric around an ironing board to make a "surfboard". I then had each family get on the surfboard to take pictures which I made into digital scrapbook pages and had them printed out for each family later. Below is our picture. Oh, and yes...dh is wearing a grass skirt with coconut "shells" on top.

I bought them and made all the guys wear it for the pictures.
OK so now you know why we have matching hawaiian outfits.

The problem is that DS's doesn't fit anymore since he was only 2 at the time. I ordered these from a store in Hawaii and it takes awhile to get any orders from there. If I can find the exact same pattern, I may attempt it anyway but I'm not sure we will get it in time. (I bought ds that other shirt from Target just in case) If we don't get it in time then DS will not match me and DH so I'm thinking this will give me an excuse to wear the Mickey luau type dress that I bought last year and have never worn. I just thought I'd wear it on the cruise if we EVER get to take one. So, either one I'm fine with I suppose....I just don't know which one I'm bringing yet. Here they both are. Sorry the pic's aren't so great.
Ok, I'm off to do some online shopping now..........
