Where the queer sisteren and brethren conquer, the yuppies are sure to follow! And that makes prices skyrocket which in turn makes me a very unhappy fellow. So I think it's high time to discover and settle in new neighborhoods incognito, dressed as yuppies or something.

I'm in Manhattan. And no hate on Staten Island, one of my closest friends lives there. HOWEVER...you'll forgive me if I hold a teensy-weency grudge...because my ex hails from there. And let's just say I wish I'd had a Disney pin or two during that break up.

Have never been to New Hope, but there's hope!

THE DISCOUNTS ARRIVED EARLY. The economy is truly in the, uh, shutter. Shutters, from the review on the Dis Unplugged, isn't that far from my meaning. So I guess it works.

But what does Mickey do to me? He says in all his squeaky, high fructose corn syrupy processed vocalise: "Huh-hah! 40% off to all the other pricey resorts but NO SOUP FOR YOU." Okay so there's soup. It's just thinner than usual. You see what that Free Dining Plan does? It seeps into everything it touches. Where's Poirot when you need him? Enough of these silly Tween Mystery books, I want Agatha Christie on the scene. Pronto, Tonto! It must be exterminated immediately. Who needs clues? But okay, so, 30% off at the Grand Floridian is still just barely keeping me from switcherooing it over to Los Springs del Coronado (my apologies to those Espanol-speaking DISers)...but I must admit that that wee 10% kept me up a little last night. Because people, now that it's happening...

Have you noticed lately how much popcorn makes it into, oh, I don't know... every thread on the Disboards lately? And doesn't it just make you kinda feel like you're watching someone's innocence get crushed to the ground of your local bedbug-infested AMC theater by holier-than-thou high schoolers from 1995 sitting at the rear of the auditorium mocking everything being said in snickeringly quiet-popcorn-munching repose? It's like Pontius Pilot everywhere you look. Well guess what ladies, I see your popcorn and raise you:

Remember the crazy blond lady who described Space Mountain as going "up and down, looking at the stars. Great gotta ride it" in A Dream Called Walt Disney World? What ever happened to her? Oh, and unrelated to this unrelatedness, I'm down to 194 lbs. Go me.

I'm downtown, south of Tribeca. NYC is pricey, but hey, it makes Disney seem inexpensive by comparison! As for the weight thing, I put on a lot since I got back. So, I don't know, just trying to get back to form. And failing! Since I put up my banner I gained 5 lbs and lost 2, and will probably gain again.

Oh-ho, I must go there because I felt that jolt of affinity - Why, we're heading down in January. Some dates of overlap. So, I currently have your Dining Review open AND now this PreTrip open and it's almost midnight, and I'm fighting a cold.

But first, I had to read some of the January PTR. 'Cause I'm going in January too. Who do I see but inkedupmomma AND Golden Girl references. inkedupmomma, whose PreTrippie I also just recently found, commented on AND got a golden girl reference. Hi inkedupmomma
