That is so ****ing funny! It is true, it does sound as if these people are sitting right at your table..it's incredible. Gee, you had much more interesting people than we did, we mush have had old ****ers night with the conversation and noises that we heard.


Meezers...you are going to have the best time at the GF. I have never seen the hotel look more lovely. Clean, bright, fresh flowers everywhere and lots of smiles. I kinda didn't want to leave the hotel for the parks it was so nice.

Oh I forgot to add, at the CL, not only do they have better food offerings, but they now serve some of it (the cold food) in small serving dishes. I guess it stops lots of people from picking with their hands and being glutenous. The hot fod is in chafing dishes to keep it hot. It's now on trays in single serving dishes. The food offerings are teriffic, and on asian night, they even had sushi, which was really really good. Also they now have a cappucino/espresso machine, which makes excellent coffee They still have the regular coffee urn too.


Hmmm.... it was such a great trip, I'm ready to go back...just for the hotel

Since we have someone who has just been there...

Looking for advice...trying to set up treat for DB room and the room I am sharing with Mom for our second day. Already picked the "dog bones" for DB...but am just stuck on the bestest idea for Mom....was thinking of truffles or something like that....does anyone have any superfabulous ideas?

PS....how do you like my kitties?

Hey Meezers

The Dogbones are chocolate eclairs...just in case you didn't know. Didn't want you to be disappointed, in case he's not an eclair kind of guy. I think thye have to be eaten at once and cannot sit for too long ...they also have them for dessert in Citricos.

If you call GF private dining they will fax you a list of their items with prices. An idea may be flowers, (which is ordered thur WD florist, not priv dining) which last all week and are such a nice thing to have in the room and chocolates, which can be enjoyed all week long too. GF Dining has a "castle screen print with truffles" for $35. I have never had it but it sounds nice! The list has everything from strawberries to cookies to chocolates to cheeses. It says all orders must be received by 2 pm for same day delivery, so you have time to decide

I think the number for private dining is 407-827-3505, not sure, if it's wrong they will transfer you.

Your kitties are cute. Mine is a tabby cat. BTW, if anyone has the list from Private Dining, could you email it to me or post it here? I don't have access to a fax (that doesn't involve DH), and I want to surprise him with something for our 10th Anniversary!

Just got off the phone with private dining...they said there are only 4 dessserts (yeah right) and they can't fax anything because they are changing their menu in October.

Anyone think I should call back later? This is ticking me off! Why? The lady I talked to on Saturday has NOT returned my call like she said she would...and I can't get a straight answer out of anyone?

Has anyone tried to do this through Concierge staff?

Yes, I just emailed IPO and they don't have a list. They gave me the Private Dining number. Guess I'll just wait until the middle of October to call them.

I called Private Dining....they won't give an answer either...say they have no record of the order I placed on Saturday (because they don't have computers there and don't keep records!)...now I had to give a credit card number on Saturday.

Not happy.....anyone have any ideas?!

I had the chocolate cigars for my DH, and he absolutely loved them (so did I). They cost $85 but they are so beautiful...and everything is chocolate including the box. We did not eat the entire thing, but took a few cigars home. I think Mr. Disney had a pic of them somewhere here. It is a nice gift for a guy, and they are something you can enjoy during your entire stay!

Have a wonderful trip.

If I wasn't going here www.maromahotel.com next month, I really think we would go back to the GF!

Worth every penny and calorie! They are not exactly dark chocolate and not exactly milk chocolate. It a lot to eat 1, I don't think a kid would be able to eat a whole one..there's a lot of chocolate in one cigar...I think they are the same size as a regular cigar. I tasted the box too..it's a swirl of white and dark chocolate and it looks like marble and it has the GF logo on it and 2 cigars on top. We ate those cigars first, the others in the box were individually packaged. I think there are 7 total.

We were upgraded from a honeymoon suite in the main building, in which we always stay. We were quite surprised and were not expecting it at all. I was told it was a thank you for returning to the GF year after year (and sometimes twice a year).

How did you find out about the upgrade before you arrived? We went from a standard concierge room in the main building to a turret suite, but they didn't say anything about the surprise upgrade until we checked in. That's very cool .
