Great news on the labs.

And we did have fun on facebook at the Cubs expense, didn't we? Our oldest went last night with his girlfriend. They were winning 2-0 in the 7th and blew the game. Andy was NOT happy.

I don't know where Marv is He threatened to try to skew the results in his direction by diverting and delaying me to fit his answers. But he hasn't submitted any yet. Maybe he is still getting caught up from Scout camp.....or maybe he doesn't want to play

And even more Mark...

This is from his winter play this last year. It was "Fools" by Neil Simon. This time he is a ruthless landowner who wants to marry this girl. It will break a curse on the town that has made them all "Fools", but she falls in love with a traveling teacher (the guy with him in the first picture). It's a funny show with a lot of plays on words, and a lot of expressions taken literally (the husband tells the wife to speak lower, so she squats down and asks if that is low enough )

When cast as the villain, Mark asked if he could have a cape with his costume! Obviously flipping the cape around was a perk!

Who Mark? A character....who likes hats....

Well, he is certainly a character.....and it's not limited to just hats.
In addition to his "temporary" Disney hats, he has boxes of Cubs, Ward Burton, Disney, and numerous other styles of hats.

It's a Christmas (in July) Miracle! The Cubs won three games in a row for the very first time this season!! (that it happened) (that it's the end of July when it finally did)

Even our Christmas tree wears hats!

Oh it was nerve wracking. Thought we had it - then they tied it up, we started off an inning getting runners on......and leaving them there. We were ready to head to the bus at that point. In the final inning once we got the guy to third we headed down closer to the exit and took off once he scored.

One thing I realized about last week's game that I didn't notice until 1/2 way through yesterday's game was that it was very quiet last week. No chanting, the organ player didn't do much.....just the sound of disappointment.
