Thanks all for the Easter wishes and my 2-month kidney anniversary! More labs tomorrow...hoping all is well and that they cut me back to once a week soon instead of twice a week....between the gas to get there and Danny missing work to go with, it's turning into an expensive proposition.

My creatinine came down a tiny bit more - still not normal....but at least in the right direction. They did another urinalysis and said it still shows signs of an infection so they put me on a different antibiotic. What's odd is I don't feel any of the typical symptoms of a urinary tract infection. They gave me a 7 day prescription, I have labs Friday, and Tuesday (regular labs), then next Friday after Ive been off the antibiotic a couple days they will do another urinalysis. I almost wish i had symptoms so I could tell whether I was "feeling better". Its strange to feel fine and have the nurse tell you that there is something wrong.

Labs today had creatinine going down even more. Last time I think it went from 1.6 to 1.58 (whoopee) But today it was down to 1.4. That doesn't take into account whether this nurse doesn't take it more than one place past the decimal....heck it could be 1.49....but that's still a pretty good drop. Wont do another urinalysis until next Friday....after Ive been off this augmenten for a few days. Cant wait! This medicine is tearing up my stomach! I take it 3 times a day and about a half hour after I take it I get terrible stomach aches, and sometimes spend some quality time on the throne (keeping with the Royal theme of the day ). Need to start eating some crackers or toast or something when I take it and see if that helps....At least I'm only on it until Tuesday.

I know what you mean. I did dialysis for 4 years, had labs done monthly and every time my nurse called with the results I had to ask her if each thing was better or worse. You would think maybe around year 2 I'd have figured it out.... but nope....

Wow - I certainly wouldn't go that far - but thank you! I hope to get back to finishing my November report so I can actually start my June report - which so far only got as far as the airport , and want to dig out old trip pics and scatter them in. Unfortunately I am just not that organized and diligent

Diamond Horseshoe was a lot of fun - if I ever get to our 1995 or 96 trip I have some really cute pictures of my youngest son at about 2 or 3 years old on stage with the magician at Diamond Horseshoe!
