The Good Ole Freap Chat ~ Sequel Part III ~

Wow. People without kids certainly have fun. Wish someone would have told me that years ago.:lmao: I have to work tomorrow but have my book club meeting on Sunday.:banana:For me, that's a big deal. We all cook yummy food, drink some, partake in other recreational activities:rolleyes1 and, sometimes, even talk about the book.

 Now that sounds like a book club I want to join!

*I* am very jealous of you and your gardening and your cooking! Everytime you tell us what you cooked my mouth just waters b/c I can imagine how scrumptious it tastes! You make everything from scratch!

See we all wish we can do something else:hug::laughing:

So, please tell me you have tones of Raspberry bushes and you use the fruit to make the yummiest recipes!

Tomorrow, after Carly's flag football game, I will be going to buy some basil, parsley and rosemary for my herb garden. I might get some dill, too.

I have to get some herbs too- My mint is coming up like crazy in the garden, but I do not see my basil or lavender from last year:guilty: I thought they were perrenials. Where are they?

I want to get some herbs for my kitchen window sill too- I will plant them in cute little tea cups or something to add a little character.

Ahhhh... (leaning back in chair).. now I feel back at home!! Dang, how is it you forget how much you miss your Freaps til you come back?

So, to my video post- no worries Mags, we will have your lil guy doing the same thing before you know it! ha! We have our 5 disk CD changer in the truck full of Disneys Greatest Hits CD's, and since we drive back and forth to OK alot (7 hours round trip) we listen to A LOT of Disney music.. and he will even quiz you and say, what's that from? And if you say the wrong thing- he CORRECTS you. haha. Gosh I hope this pixie dust sticks!!

And thank you to everyone else for the compliments!

So who all is going in Sept and when? I will be there the first week in Sept (just in time for last minute BABY BOY stuff for a certain FREAP who is due mid Sept...)

This semester is almost over and I need the break before I start packing and summer classes. Natalie will be 12 next friday and well where does the time go. I feel like I blinked and she grew into this beautiful young lady. Madd your weekend sounds alot better than mine, writing papers and then a bday party for a friends kids.. I will stop back in shortly..:goodvibes

Thank you :) I missed you guys so much to! Luckily Maggie and I have stayed in touch (and even met up at WDW last Sept!)- To make a very very long story short, went through a divorce, moved to Arkansas, and then started taking care of DBF's dad who has terminal cancer. Of course, it is much more complicated than that, but you know...

Heartbreaker is right! He has three girlfriends in two states ;)

Good for you! What do you want to do with it? I would like to go back to college and start my own non profit. I am right here by UofA, but I think I will wait til Wes is in school.. it will make things a lot easier!

I want to do anthropological work in spain but who knows really I have a ways to go. Glad your back and you are right I know all about the life stuff that seems to take up our time:rotfl:

Well since, you guys are doing this talking about your weekend thing, I guess I'll tell you about mine, too. Especially I'm actually doing interesting and fun things for once. Tonight, I went to the Relay for Life walk with one of my friends whose Mom just died a few weeks ago from cancer. It was fun to go but also sad. I've never been to something like that before and it was really moving. I definitely want to go back next year and get involved in more events like it. And then tomorrow, I start clinicals for my CNA class. Then in the afternoon, I have a huge surprise planned for my two DDs for their birthday. They have no idea and I can't post on here what it is until Monday since they love reading my posts on here but it is definitely something awesome. But I will definitely share it with all of you on Monday. I'm so excited I feel like I might burst...lol. :dance3:And then on Sunday, I have clinicals again and then in the afternoon, we are having their 11th birthday party at the bowling alley here. So that's it. Very busy weekend for me but they usually aren't so busy so this is a fun change. Madd, your weekend also sounds very fun. I can't wait to hear more about it next week. Have a good weekend, everyone! :goodvibes

Hey flamestarrdust- I am doing a Relay for Life here in June, and am sooo excited! Chad (DBF) and I decided to do it bc his dad is dying from stomache cancer, and it is the best way for us to feel like we can do something about it, and take control. We have had a lot of fun fundraising, but, like you, I think the event will be very bittersweet! Especially seeing all of the survivors, and knowing he will not be one of them.

NBmom- Ohhh.. Spain would be soo fun! I love the idea of traveling to do some good for the world, imagine how much you will learn!

Cassi- I bet Wes is ready for Disney. He's already spoiled by going on the best vacation in the world. You guys should buy into DVC- you're there enough to take advantage of it. Although it has been a while since we've been. Im afraid it will be a long while before we go back...although i hear going with an infant is super super easy (i.e. they sleep the whole time)-- might have to run that one by the Mr.

Theresa- Cant believe Natalie is almost 12. Where did the time go? She will be DRIVING soon!

Me and my belly laid out in the sun today-- hope i didnt put any of the neighbors in shock (jk). My belly isn't as big as the other girls that are my size. Ive only gained 4.5lbs which isnt a lot to be this far along. This was taken at 19wks. Ill have a new one on Monday- I think ive grown this week though. I did get out and walk the neighborhood this week. I know my thighs will thank me later- lol. I havent thought of any baby names yet (well DH and i have made a couple suggestions-- but its really hard coming to terms with one name... i never knew it would be this hard). My little guy is a mover though. DH felt him for the first time last Sunday and it was really sweet. Right now he is a night owl-- i just hope this doesn't continue on once he arrives...

As for what I've been doing lately-- here has been the highlight of my last few days... me- peeking out the window (I wrote about it here)

POOR little mama dog..:sad2:

poor doogie. your belly looks so cute and I am glad you are an animal person. I haven't wanted to think about her driving yet because that leads to dating:scared1: and well mama ain't ready:goodvibes

Aww.. Maggie your belly is precious!! I was really small like that until the last two months with Wes!

So.. I am having doggie woes this week to.. we have a Jack Russel that some one dropped off out here in the country (who was also just bone thin)- I couldnt let him just stay starved outside, so I took him in, hoping to find him a home soon.. he is a WONDERFUL dog, and had to have nice owners at some point, he is potty trained and a lap dog. ANYWAY, we recently moved, so of course I brought him with. Well, apparently some JERK was driving way to fast down our road (should have been going about 20! had to of been going 50!) HIT HIM a few days ago! Our neighbor, who luckily saw it happen, rushed him to the vet, and then called me. He broke his jaw in 3 places, had to have it wired back together, and is pretty bruised up (he is on a doggie IV even!). DBF and I decided since we are going to pay this large vet bill, he is pretty much stuck with us as owners :) He is staying at the vet this weekend, and gets to come home (officially now) on Monday. I know the economy makes things bad for some folks, but I cant imagine dropping my dog or cat off and driving away!!

My lavender never died off this year.

May basil will usually reseed itself, but I usually buy more anyway, because sometimes it doesn't. :confused3 And, God knows, I cannot live with out basil.

Mint is pretty impossible to kill. That's why I never grow it. I don't like to keep cutting it back.

Tinker- How great to see you posting!!:yay:We have missed you.
This weekend I have kickboxing class my friend is running for a bunch of us moms. I really like it. After I have to do a huge food shop with my kids because this week I am in the local musical if Suessical. Basically I will be abandoning my guys because I have rehearsal every day 'till 8:30, then the shows start Thursday and run through the weekend. So, if it doesn't get done this weekend, it's not getting done 'till next Sunday night....:rolleyes1
