And maybe the cruise if I can save some money.

The bad news is with all that I have been through in the past 6 months I didn't need to hear this.
My boss decided that since I am eligible for Long Term Disability I should take advantage of it and work on my recovery. Those were his exact words right before he said he decided not to hold my job for me anylonger.
There is one more month until school is over, and I promised him and gave Dr's notes that I will be able to return to work in September full time and considered "cancer free" He said he is having a hard time filling my position for the last month and the only way he could find someone to work was to offer them the full time position.
So they made what I have been told is a good offer. Now if I get it in writing I will feel a little more relieved but for now I have no choice but to regard it as my future.
I will be getting my insurance until I turn 65, my son can finish college and he is covered with my insurance till he turns 25, they are putting about $500 a month into my 401K, and I will get 60% of my salary. Not enough to do DisneyWorld as much as I used to but enough to survive.
And who knows, maybe it is my push to move out of CT and go to Fl, just al little earlier than I had thought about in the past. Peggie

Hi Peggie!

Any idea what part of Florida? If you are able to get "substantially full time" employment for at least 39 weeks out of the first 52 after the move the moving expenses will be deductable. I know you are aware of M.D. Anderson

Oh, Peggie... I'm so sorry! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I know, it may sound trite, but I really am a big believer that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes I have to convince myself, but it always does seem (somewhere down the road) that I eventually realize why I've gone through various trials and tribulations in my life... and I know you'll find out, too!

Like when Brian was downsized back in 2001... because of that, we ended up taking a very spontaneous trip down to WDW (our very first!) so because he lost his job, we've made some of the very best friends you could ever ask for! (Especially ones we've only met vicariously over the internet, like you!)

Everything will work out... we'll be sending you lots of prayers and pixie dust!

Sandy (and Brian, Bonnie & Kellie, too!)
