And maybe the cruise if I can save some money.
The bad news is with all that I have been through in the past 6 months I didn't need to hear this.
My boss decided that since I am eligible for Long Term Disability I should take advantage of it and work on my recovery. Those were his exact words right before he said he decided not to hold my job for me anylonger.
There is one more month until school is over, and I promised him and gave Dr's notes that I will be able to return to work in September full time and considered "cancer free" He said he is having a hard time filling my position for the last month and the only way he could find someone to work was to offer them the full time position.
So they made what I have been told is a good offer. Now if I get it in writing I will feel a little more relieved but for now I have no choice but to regard it as my future.
I will be getting my insurance until I turn 65, my son can finish college and he is covered with my insurance till he turns 25, they are putting about $500 a month into my 401K, and I will get 60% of my salary. Not enough to do DisneyWorld as much as I used to but enough to survive.
And who knows, maybe it is my push to move out of CT and go to Fl, just al little earlier than I had thought about in the past. Peggie
