The Future of Fast Pass Plus

you roll your eyes at me but I do have a point. I don't know how FP+ works. Point me to a simple tutorial. From what I've read from people here there are a fair number of glitches and frustrations. Seriously. Simple. If anything, my mother is going to need it spelled out!

I'm sorry , but the laughing smiley face you put on the end of your post made it look like you were making a joke and not asking a serious question.
There's a thread in theme parks and strategies that provides all the basic info. If you run a search you'll find it. I think it's called FP+ basics all you need to know.
Personally I don' t think this is simple. :surfweb:

Is it just me or rather than shorten the Fp+ line, they're lengthening the "regular" line. Longer than it would've been without fastpass to begin with.

Well of course it makes the regular line longer. They're not going to abandon fastpass all together though. Talk about catastrophic.

I'll never forget going the first year they had fastpass. We had no idea there was such a thing. We showed up in the park, waiting in line as usual. We saw the machines and got curious. After we learned about them it was on! It really was the most awesome thing. We went to use our Peter Pan FP. OMG it felt so wrong. Just cutting! I remember as they were letting us all through the lady that got cut off in standby was screaming at the cast member "why are you doing this? We've been waiting here!" She started frantically chanting and clapping her hands at him. A couple other people in standby joined in. It was mayhem. I'm sure CMs dealt with that for at least a few years before everybody got use to it. Those were turbulent days they were.

I try not to think of disney before FP. Oh wait. They did have FP. It was called sister in a wheel chair. lol (jk, nobody flame me for that one)

I am in the group and I am certainly able to use FP+ on my IPhone. I have used FP+ on three trips.
I am also in the group and I have a smart phone, but I don't want to use it in the parks. I know I don't have to, but if I want to avoid long SB or kiosk lines I really have to use it and then worry about it maintaining a charge throughout the day.

I just think Disney overestimated the appeal of FP+. There are a lot of people who think the whole system is ridiculous because they don't want their theme park experience to be controlled by a timetable.
Most of us, are on schedules at work all the time, why would we want the same experience on vacation?

I started reading that and I still don't know what I'm reading. I guess its me. At this point, I hope someone in my party does and can do the set up of the bands and link us all up for all the fast passes for our entire trip. Seems nigh impossible from where I sit. (Starbucks with a green tea...)

We did that. My grandmother went with us a number of years ago and couldn't walk that far so we got her a wheelchair. We got to get on the rides from the back. This trip, my niece will be with us and she works for Disney and we very well may have a chaperone for her so she doesn't get mobbed and get on the rides without having to wait much. That's what she said happened in DL. We shall see.
