The funniest or most bizarre thing your kids have ever asked Santa for

This one is happening right now and I'm not prepared for it!

I had my younger DS all done:
'Pogo stick' - check
'Pokemon Cards' - check
'Football jersey' - check
and the 'biggie'... 'Bakugan toy w/ seven creatures that all attach' - check

Whew, I WAS so happy to be done, then this weekend while shopping at the Nike OUtlet for my older DS he fell in :cloud9::love: w/ these orange Nikes!:confused3:laughing:

Alllllll...... afternoon they were all he could talk about - kept telling his Aunt "that's ALL I want for Christmas" and "I KNOW Santa will bring them, since that's ALL I'm asking for!":scared1:

He JUST got new shoes and doesnt need these.....and my sister pointed out that we buy him new shoes outright when he needs them - they dont need to be a gift....but he would hear none of that.

So now the big dilimma....do I drive an hour away (Williamsburg) to get the shoes??? (And, when do I find the time to do that?!) And if so.... really?? Will he be like "I got SHOES for Christmas....:headache:" by the time it rolls around to open gifts?

Help me DIS ....what to do.....:confused3

can you order them online?

I have a friend whose child wrote Santa a letter which included some wish list items and then ended it with "what I would really love is a ride in your sleigh. I would give up all of my other presents just for a quick ride in your sleigh" -- any ideas how to manage that one?? :santa:

When DS16 was about 4 all he would tell us was that he wanted a monkey puzzle. We asked, we had friends and family ask, and that was all he would tell us. He said the dreaded words....."Santa will know" Oh Lord!!

Eventually found him a large puzzle with a gorilla on it, he loved it and of course now can't remember what he was thinking then.

DS said he wants some Mountain Dew. I will occassionally let him get at a restaurant, but I never buy it.

Ooh, I thought of another...last year dd wanted to know what real coal looked like and put it on her list. Then she was concerned that Santa would get confused and think that was all she wanted (or maybe she thought that was all she deserved!). Santa put some in her stocking.

Oh wow.....a ride in the sleigh is officially the toughest!

Yeah, I looked today at the Nike site - my DSis even sent me an on-line code to get free shipping - but they didn't have the right ones on sale - had very similar ones not on sale... $75!!:scared1: I'll be driving to Williamsburg before I spend that on kids shoes .:lmao: Hmm...thinking I might need to go ahead and do the drive this weekend.... The things we do for these kids.

Awwwww, that's very cute. :cloud9: My son would actually love that too. I kind of like the idea of getting them some soda - they so rarely get it.:)

My 6 yo DS came home from school with the following list:

A Baseball bat (he has never played baseball, and has no interest in playing baseball - he plays soccer, and does gymnastics)

A new room - ???

Another trip to Florida - (When we "gave" the kids the Jan trip to Disney last year, I should have know this would come back to bite me in the butt!)

A new XBOX360 - (our is working fine, I guess he doesn't want to share?)

A Jeep for my Dad and a Limo for my Mom.

Either Santa is going to have to be really creative this year, or DS will be very disappointed!!

At least he did think of his parents! :thumbsup2

DD had help writing a letter to Santa at pre-school one year. She requested a polar bear that could live in our yard and she'd feed him carrots. :lmao: It tickled me so much that I still hang it up every year and she's 19 now.

I had to tell her that Santa doesn't bring live animals so she chose something else.

She got them that year.....because it was the only thing she asked for. I couldnt even get them anywhere around me. So i Had to call the store on fifth ave they were great they even gift wrapped them before they fed exed to me. I hid them in the tree and didnt say a word to her, her face was priceless when she saw the box.

She want to be an ob/gyn. so she will be able to pay for herself.

this year her only two requests pajamas with feet and wiki sticks (aka benderoos)

I love that you got them! :lovestruc
This year, much easier (and cheaper!)

When DD11 was around 4 or 5, she saw this GIANT plush purple snake in Costco and wanted it. (this is my kid who LOVES reptiles, and she still to this day wants a real snake, but that is NOT happening!) She already had a small plush snake from the zoo, but this thing was HUGE!

The funny thing was when she went to visit Santa that year and told him all she wanted a "big purple snake" for Christmas. His expression was priceless!

I actually had to explain that she wanted a PLUSH and not a live snake, and nodded conspiratorially at Santa saying I'm sure his elves can make her one, to let him know that yeah, I did know what she was talking about. LOL

(and yes, she got it for Christmas, and it makes an awesome pillow for reading or watching TV, since it's about 6 feet long and 6 inches in diameter, and you can coil it into whatever position you like. She still uses it all the time. Since it's purple, it looks nothing like an actual snake, so it's not gross to have around or anything - lol).

I wanted the snoopy snowcone machine for YEARS!!!!

DD8 hasn't had too many odd requests, but here's the ones that stuck out:

When she was 3, she'd made her list and everything was on go, until she sat on Santa's lap and she told him what she wanted the most was a little green dog :confused3 Luckily, I asked her preschool teacher if she had any idea where that came from. She told me another boy in class had a small green beanie baby dog. So, yes, Santa shopped ebay for that one!

When she was 4, she decided it was time for her to ask Santa why she hadn't gotten a baby brother yet!

Last year, she told me she was finished with her list. Ok, let's see it ~ she had a list 13 pages long! Yes, she had gone to Amazon and written down every HSM, Littlest Pet Shop, and Hannah Montana item (including birthday supplies!). I told her it was probably a bit long and she might want to only write down the things she really wanted :lmao:

Right from the beginning we made DD understand that Santa would never give everything on the list, no matter how reasonable ie. there would always be one present that he didn't bring. But he would always give her something she didn't ask for because he knew she would like it. Plus, the rule is that if you only ask for 1 thing, that will be the thing you don't get. Thank goodness -- we needed those rules sometimes. Maybe that could help, since he may just as easily change his mind AGAIN. :lmao:

This year DD is 9 and still believes -- she asked for a breadmaker. She likes bread a lot more than cookies and cakes, so I figure it will get more use than the Easy Bake Oven did.

A coworkers granddaughter wanted a pogo stick...when we was 3. They never knew where she learned what a pogo stick was but she ended up with one and was thrilled..even though she was too little to do it.

My parents told me when I was little I asked Santa for belly button fuzz for my nephew. He liked to pick it. He and I are only 4 months apart in age.

When my brother was little he asked for a fun-n-rodder. Everyone was trying desperately to figure out what he meant, one of my grandmother's friends knew exactly what he wanted right off the bat.
OK, I'll bite. What is a fun-n-rodder?

When I was 3 I asked Santa to get my 1 year old sister some eyebrows. They are still a little sparse.I don't think he was listening.

When my daughter was three she asked for square gum, like the kind you could get in a gumball machine. Santa put some in her stocking, but he also brought her a trike. That gum was still the highlight of her whole day.
