So I have only had my airline tickets about a month for my next trip to WDW. And wouldn't you know it, Delta changed my itinerary:headache: Instead of leaving at 5 pm they wanted us to leave at 1 pm. Which would pretty much wipe out that park day.

But the great thing is that I called, and they changed my departing flight to 6:20 pm!:yay: Now my nephew and I will just have to haul butt thru Detroit, as the connection is only 45 minutes long. But hey, if we can make it thru Atlanta in 45 minutes (did it once, probably wouldn't recommend it) then we can make it thru Detroit. I also paid for the upgrade to Economy Comfort, so we get off the plane faster! And if we miss our flight we are only 2 hours from home. Rental car, here we come!

Many people knock Delta, but I have always had great luck with them. If they change my itinerary they switch me to a flight that works for me with no fuss at all. The agent I had today even laughed when she saw the flight they had changed me to--it had a 5 hour layover! The original flight had an hour and a half.

I really just wanted to share this with a bunch of people who understand getting the dreaded Your Itinerary Has Changed e-mail.

I hate that email. Never once has it said guess what you get to stay and extra six hours! Nope it's always you're leaving earlier.
Glad is somewhat worked out

And if we miss our (connecting) flight we are only 2 hours from home. Rental car, here we come!.
Although the airline won't pay for the rental car, you can even get a refund for the unused last flight segment if you miss the connection and choose alternate transportation. The refund is based on the dollar value assigned to that flight segment.
