Chapter 7: Pucking and Dole Whip Emergencies
August 17th, 2012
This may or may not be my last update until I get back from Disney, depending on how much time I have between now and when I leave. Here's a little background on the upcoming trip though, just in case it is!
I am flying to Orlando in just FIVE DAYS with Nat and Vickie (whom you all should know from previous trip reports) and our friends Alicia and Maggie (who are also fabulous and whom you will know soon! They have been in a few real-life updates in the past). Our flight is at 6 A.M. and we're meeting Jess at MCO and taking our Magical Express to Art of Animation, where we will be staying in a Cars Suite for a week! EEEP I'M SO EXCITED. We will be on the
DDP as well. Here are our ADR's:
~ Hoop-De-Doo (MY FAVE)
~ 'Ohana (HECK YES)
~ Sci-Fi
~ Be Our Guest (Oh the perfection)
~ Cinderella's Royal Table (It's a girls trip with Vick! We had to!)
~ Chef Mickey's
~ 50's Prime Time Café
~ Via Napoli (Viva Italian Waiters)
In addition to the four theme parks, we will also be visiting both water parks! Jess and I are also looking forward to seeing some awesome DIS people who will be down there when we are, like Joni (therussells) and Marissa (MarDgreen)! It's going to be SO MUCH FUN! I can't wait!
And now, on with the August noms!
------------------------------------------------------------
You may have noticed that Mom and I were wearing the same dress that day. We like to match sometimes. We think we're really precious.
While we were at Kidani, everyone napped except me. Typical. I filled out some postcards to friends back home and one to some awesome DISkids, Jake and Mallory. I mailed those and putzed around Kidani for a bit.
Pretty soon it was up and at 'em and off to Downtown Disney!
The parents and Sarah went shopping around while I went to Guest Relations to get a replacement Annual Pass. The ribbon was worn out on mine. Frequent Disney-goer problems. I wasn't mad, but I am glad that the new RFID AP's are plastic. THANK GOD.
After that problem was fixed I walked around Tren-D, Team Mickey and World of Disney, and eventually met up with my parents and Sarah at Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner.
We just cannot get enough of this place.
Mom went with something she'd been eyeing for a long time, the Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf.
She thought it was good! Not like the meatloaf she's used to, but hey, it was bacon-wrapped and there were mashed potatoes. You can't really go wrong there.
Sarah went with the Barbecued Chicken Pizza, which is now tied with the mac and cheese for her favorite meal at WPE. She loved it!
Scott was still full from Le Cellier, as he finished Sarah's meal as well as eating his own. So he just chilled while we ate. And for my entree, I went with the Margherita Pizza this time!
This was delicious! Definitely not as good as my beloved Four Cheese Pesto Heaven-On-Earth Nirvana Pizza, but still very yummy! Probably tied for second in the WPE pizza department, along with Sarah's BBQ Chicken one.
For dessert, Sarah went with a chocolate chip cookie, while Mom and I had the delicious WPE crème brûlée!
A CS with delicious crème brûlée. You just can't beat it.
After dinner we went to the pin store and traded on the giant pin board! Then we went in Tren-D and Team Mickey again. After that, we hopped on a Contemporary bus and then took the Monorail to MK from there!

Blue hour:
The first order of business at MK was at the Chapeau! Sarah got her Frump Jr. Mousekears!
We shopped around the Emporium, and then headed off to Liberty Square.
Scott and Mom headed to Columbia Harbour House because Scott was finally feeling hungry enough to eat some dinner. He got the Lobster Roll, which they neglected to take a picture of. Tsk tsk.
Sarah and I could not accompany them on account of the fact that Tiana AND NAVEEN were out.
EXCITEMENT ENSUED.
The character attendant with Tiana and Naveen noticed my nails and pointed them out to the royal couple, which sparked a conversation. Naveen hugged me like three times, which was weird (but I am SO not complaining) and Tiana had me explain all my nails to them. Naveen was so suave and I would so take him if Tiana decided to join a convent or something. He's perfect.
We met with the parents and rode Pirates, my beloved Jungle Cruise, and then we watched Wishes from the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse! It was quite hot up there, due to stuffiness, lack of air circulation, and the fact that heat rises, so we were all in desperate need of Dole Whips when Wishes was over.
Yum. You can't go wrong with a Dole Whip. They really cooled us down and hit the spot.
We rounded out our night with The Magic, the Memories, and You, a coffee run to Sleepy Hollow, Mickey's Philharmagic, it's a small world, and a shopping excursion in Sir Mickey's. After that, we headed back to Kidani and hit the hay.
Goodnight, Magic Kingdom!
