The Frickles Family Vacation: Every Mile a Memory; THE LAST MILE! CH 12 pg 20 6/20!

I am very impressed that you managed to crank out a chapter with all you've got going on right now! AND without your precious VB notebook to boot! Gosh, hope you find that thing. Writing a TR with no notes is very tough. Good thing you take so many pics!!

Fricky, I loved this chapter. I know we just talked about this over there on that Bama fan's TR, but I just love those relaxed, soak-it-all-in kinda days! We are so lucky to be such frequent visitors, allowing us to take a step back to enjoy the low-key joys that Disney has to offer. We're also lucky to have a circle of friends who bring smiles and giggles to us as we enjoy our time at the Happiest Place on Earth. I know La will love that you took that photo. I know I do!!

As we were washing our hands, I was reminded of ‘the girl’. LaLa, I know how happy they make her, so this picture is for her.

Disney299.jpg

Awww, thanks Frick. That was really sweet, my girl. I'll have to show it to her. Those little sinks are the bomb in their world. And that was really sweet that you thought of her. You know, if someone had told me a few years ago that I'd get the warm and fuzzies because someone named Frickles posted a picture on a Disney message board of the little sink in the Chef Mickey's downstairs bathroom (and you KNOW that makes it even better in my mind), I would've slapped them twice (with my ever present Ziploc bag of fingernails) and then shaved my head bald. NOBritney.

But there's no denying that really brightened my day, Frick. On behalf of me and the girl: thanks, my sweet friend. And this...

Isn’t it great when you are at Disney and a trip report, that someone has worked so hard to bring forth for our enjoyment, enters your mind. That little sink made me just as happy as it did for ‘the girl’ because I was reminded of a sweet friend.

...made me smile huge. I love ya, Frick. And...I hear you loud and clear. ;)

...and my 15 year old t-shirts that I finally parted with.

So is that where the title of this installment comes into play? If so, it was about time you threw them out. Even though they were telling you to relax don't do it.

I knew exactly where I wanted to have our pre-breakfast snack

Pre-breakfast snack?! My kids have voted and it's been unanimously decided that they would like to vacation with the Frickles family next year.

They beat the pants off of Kool-Aid the clown who hits a different restaurant in our town every night and twists balloons into fancy shapes.

Don't be hatin' on Kool-Aid the clown. If he's anything like Joe the Hobo, he can make a mean Ariel and a pretty cool sword.

Last edited by Frickles : Today at 06:12 AM. Reason: At least I'm not soooo far gone that I took a picture of DW vomit.

Or of a toilet....

What can I say? The girl liked the fact that you pull the chain to flush it. Old fashioned POR toilet. It's the new little sink.

I may pull a HappyHaunt or two...

So many possibilities, so little time. Cue ZZUB....

Needless to say, I loved this installment, chick. You and your family are just beautiful. But next time try to avoid the freaky transparent girl at Chef Mickey's. How weird is that?

It's often been said before and it's so true that sometimes the best times we have in the World are the times we throw the plan out the window and just relax a little more. Glad to hear your day was shaping up to be a good one and I can't wait to "hear" the rest of your story.

LY/MI sweet Frick!

By this we assume you mean one of the following:

1. You will describe how much you embarrass your children and/or spouse.

2. You will use a thousand words to say nothing.

4. You will bring the German and no one will know why.

4. Laugh uncontrollably and inappropriately.

5. Begin driving a white van.

3. Jump in the pool.

5. Abandon this Trip Report.

I'm ALL ABOUT not eating a meal on an empty stomach. I hate that feeling.

We decided to leave our car at the Contemp because we would be back to get it after MNSSHP.
I can't believe the resort parking police haven't pounced on you with the kind of rage the DailyKosiascs devote to President Bush and "his" war in Iraq.

I giggled to myself over the fact that I was so excited to be taking a picture of the bathroom. Add that to the list of the dorky things the Dis has compelled me to do.
It's hard to fathom the length of the list of dorky things you've done and blamed on the Disboards. I imagine it's as long as the list of grievances my secretary keeps secreted away in her desk drawer.

Not bad for no notes, Frick. Imagine what you could do if you could parse verbs AND perform simple arithemetic. The possibilities . . .

:moped:

Frickles, great update!

I love relaxing days, that is what vacation is all about!

Glad you are all settled into your new home!!

I love to people watch too.

Lucky Hubby to get to sleep in. We don't seem to manage this. But it sounds nice. Have to try it next time.

Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I was pretty psyched to wake up this morning and see a new TR installment.

And I was psyched to wake up and see you as my first and only poster! You had to read the unedited version because right after I posted this sucker, the boards went down.

Welcome back, Frickles! I love your turn of phrase!

Aw thanks DDM! It is good to be back to slaving on this tr again! It brings back good memories!

I'm not sure which fact is more disturbing -- that you live in a town where this is considered acceptable entertainment at the obviously fine dining establishments you frequent, or that you actually are on a first-name basis with the clown.
Oh come on. You live so close. I know you, Mrs. 11 and the kids want to come on up and eat at Las Palmas with us and walk away with 15 balloons in any shape other than circular.

One suspects there was a certain latent tendency towards doing dorky things anyway. I mean, did the DIS compel you to take a picture of that nasty ham you're always flinging about?
I think now would be a great time to check your pm's.

Thanks Tora! Glad you stopped by! Um, if you really want to read a good report about someone who rips a lot, check out Zzub's.

Isn't it nice to relax on vacation, instead of rushing around and stressing? We are going to try the relaxing one this year. We rushed a bit last year, and we were wiped out in a few days. Never again!

Dismorgh!! I have an old Wham T-shirt in the dumpster that I can dig out if you want to borrow it! Relaxing is the way to go sometimes! Good to see you!

Hey my sweet Ash! You said it well girl! I also know that when you go to Disney for your spring break, that you are going to go and take a picture of our French waiters bottom that got so close to my butter for me. And you'll giggle because it brought back such funny memories. ;)

That really didn't sound right did it.

Moving on.

'Cause I like my hair.
LaLa! I'm glad you finally put your bucket of kfc down and came over here! I loved the POR toilet! I have USED that potty! Can you believe it! And, while using it, I thought 'You know, Disney just thinks of everything' and I was highly impressed!
AND, I am ded because I sooo had a bright pink Relax, Don't Do It tee. It was really big and I had to gather it up on the side and tie it with my hot pink hair scruchie. Niiiice.

Well, my feeling is this. If I am paying to stay in a Deluxe resort, then I can park at a Deluxe resort. I can put that into a math problem if anyone wants me to. :teacher:

Arithemetic. Hmmm, is that anything like arithmetic? Imagine what you could do if you could only parse verbs and speel.

Glad you are here Zzub. We made a towel animal for you at the BC. It's an Ankylosaurus Magniventris. We wasted 435 towels and 4 hours of the MouseKeepers time. You are going to love it!

Nab, have I ever mentioned that our kids grind their teeth at night and Mr. Frick can hear every single sound they make and he gets NO sleep while we are at Disney? It is almost the same as me taking two rocks and banging them together over his ear. If we could spring for a two bedroom somthingorother whilst at Disney, I'm sure Mr. Frick would be a whole lot more fun!

Yay, Frick!!!

Yay, Java! Love your tag!

Thanks for reading and for the kind and funny responses you guys! It is always such a treat to see a reply!!!

I'm off to find out why LaLa is carrying around a bag of fingernails. And, I think I see someone with a lime green shirt going through my dumpster.

Frick!

I love hearing all about your relaxing day, I wish I could be that relaxed on a vacation.
Maybe I will try in a couple weeks when I am there.

You know, there is a long list of things that I never in a million years thought I would do thanks to this message board.

Included are a bunch of things I did during a convention.
Which to this day, have me DED.
I am scrapbooking some of the pictures now and they just make me laugh.

La. You are on ignore about the fingernails.
I SAW THAT and I tried so hard not to yak (NOYAK) over that.
That was BEYOND gross.

...but it's not too late for Funnel Cake Saturday...

S8008260.jpg

Oh yeah baby!

Get you a good look at that, Frick. Looks REAL good, doesn't it? I'm thinking that beats eating cereal out of a toilet bowl anyday.

I knew you had the shirt. But did you wear legwarmers with it and sport the "Gag me with a spoon" button? Cause if not, I can no longer be friends with you.

Or CAN I?

That sight is so beautiful that I had to quote it again. For those of you who don't know, I'm on a major diet and LaLa is sending me this picture to support me and be helpful.

Not.

You know when I saw it I could actually smell it. I could so eat that delicious piece of fried dough right now.

La, you are on ignore. And you better start digging your swimsuit back out because you know what I'm about to do.

AND, I DID have the gag me with a spoon button as well as the book on how to speak Valley Girl. Like, totally. And my leg warmers were light pink with silver sparkles. I be stylin.

Pongo you leave sooo soon!!! You go so often my friend that you should take a breather while there and prop your feet up and relax. I hope you have warm weather!

Did your list include watching a couple almost make a baby on the dance floor at 8Trax and giggling about it with your friend Frickles?

Ugh. Now I'm nauseous from that memory.

OMG, I totally forgot about that.

Yes, that is on my list.

Ghostbusters! The new slow dance song. They slow danced to EVERYTHING.
Ghostbusters, It's Raining Men, Hammertime.

Those people were so gross.
Equally as gross: Those two dudes that were constantly trying to dance up on everyone.
Ewww.

That was a great night.
But my list also has so many happy GREAT memories too.

You know, they are selling Frankie Says Relax shirts at Target now right?

I was so close to taking a picture on my cell phone and posting it.
But I felt stupid doing it.
SO I didn't.

Instead, I bought everyone a round of Humpty costumes

DU001_LG1.jpg

Enjoy doing the Humpty Dance

Heh, reminds me of Sophia, who has decided two breakfasts are better than one. My girl is a hobbit. Sounds like she would fit right in with the Frick family.

I noticed you did not valet park the car.

Pongo! You so should have. Feeling stupid is not a good reason to not do something, so long as it is funny.

Pongo is bringing the Humpty! Now I will be singing that all day long!

Hi Haley!!

this made me laugh because we'll be there next week and I've been telling DS that this we have to get funnel cakes to eat while watching illuminations.......it's the dis thing to do! :)

loved it frick!!! hope you find your notebook and enjoy your new home!

I'm here to lodge a complaint! I never received my Holiday Ham!

I'm all caught up again, Frick, and I've gotta tell you, I just love your family! :goodvibes Oh, and a TR with toilet and sink pictures is A-OK in my book! (My family thought I was insane when I took pictures of the 'powder room' on Tom Sawyer's Island. :rolleyes1 )

BTW, I'm craving Mickey waffles now. Thanks. :headache:

Take care,
Michelle

Haley, going back to Target tomorrow
Will report back with Frankie

Yes Samc, all the cool kids are doing it! The funnel cakes there are the best I have ever had. Especially because it isn't coming from a small country carnival where the people who are standing in the mobile home cooking them have more grease in their hair than in the funnel cake and only about 5 teeth of which half are rotten. You're from Alabama, you know what I'm talking bout. These are good, clean, deliciously good melt in your mouth funnel cakes with the perfect amount of powdered sugar goodness. Just be sure you have CASH with you because that's all they take I think.
I hope you and your family have an absolute blast at the World! I'm jealous!!
May the Dis be with you!

Girl do you know that I have never stepped foot on Tom Sawyer's Island. It seems like I never have time for it and we bypass it for other things. It is on my list for next time. Their johns must be pretty cool if you took a picture. Feel free to post it! AND, you got a lil sumpin waiting for you in your pm box!
