After a fairly late night the previous evening we slept in a bit again. Jimmy actually slept until after 9:00. I got up and showered while the rest of crew still slept, or in Jimmy's case watched Stacy
and played Power Rangers. Then I bathed Jimmy and woke the boys. All in all we were out the door by 11:00am. A quick call to Denise and we find out they are on their way to the food court for breakfast/lunch and they would meet us there.
Today was supposed to be a pool day, Pirate and Princess and Party at night with dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. However, Disney in their infinite wisdom decided NOT to offer the P & P Party this August. There went my plan, sort of. We kept the LTT ADR and decided to get to the MK right around ADR time and stay until the park closed. But what should we do with the couple of hours we had to kill before our ADR.
Denise talked about how she would like to check out some of the other hotels. So we decided to take the bus to the MK and then do the grand circle tour of the monorail hotels before taking the boat over to WL to meet mom & dad.
We finish up lunch and are on an MK bus in no time, at 12:30 in the afternoon we are the only one's on the bus. By this point of the day everyone is where they want to be. We get to the MK and head right up the ramp for the resort monorail. Our first stop is the Contemporary. This place is just meh to me. Nothing spectacular. We wander a bit, check out the store, and let the kids get their pennies crushed.
Back to the monorail and the next stop is the Poly (T and v Look away
) and again this place is just meh to me. I am not an island kind of girl I guess. We walk around, take a couple of pictures, get a drink at Capt. Cooks and just chill for a few minutes at the outside seating area.
From there we go back to the monorail, but we skip the Grand Floridian because it is getting close to the time we have to meet at the WL, so we go back to the MK. We hop off the monorail and go to the dock where we get the boat to the WL. The boat pulls up after about 5 minutes and here is where my trip gets a bit better (
Yes, I am evil). As we turn the corner on the dock to load the boat, Andrew who was texting, as he was the whole vacation and really getting on my nerves,

. I did the whole it'll be ok, we'll call your mom, it was an accident, etc., etc., etc. However on the inside I was doing this
That cell phone was on my last nerve from the time we landed in Florida and I didn't have to look at him text for the rest of the trip. Yes I am a beyotch, but I don't care.
We hop on the boat and make our way to WL where mom & dad were waiting for us. We all use the restrooms and mom gives us all the grand tour of WL, while Andrew pouted. Before we realize it, it is time to get back on the boat to head to MK and our LTT ADR.
We get into the MK, get a stroller for Denise and a wheelchair for dad and we head off to LTT to check in for our ADR. Denise and I had separate reservations, but they were linked
supposedly. When we got there, there was no notation of the linked ressies, and the only way we could sit near each other was if we waited and hour. Um, no we will keep them separate. We were all disappointed, but it was fine.
Denise and the kids beeper goes off first. We are a party of 6 so we had to wait a bit longer. We get seated, as soon as Jim takes Jimmy to the mens room. Luckily our table was right at the bottom of the steps. We LOVED this character meal. The food was good and the character interaction was great. This is now Jims favorite TS restaurant at MK and I have already been told to book it for next year, unfortunately next year there wont be characters there.
The food was your basic Thanksgiving Dinner
turkey, ham, beef; mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans and apple cobbler for dessert. I tried a little of everything and it was all very tasty.
Then came the characters. This was Jimmys best character interaction of the trip and the characters even improved Andrews mood.
While we were still finishing up dinner Denise and the kids came over. THey headed out to see the Country Bears (which none of us had any interest in) and they would call when they done. We finished up and headed out. We went into the Christmas Shop to look around and then let jimmy run around in the DSA behind the Christmas shop while we waited for Denise and the kids. The came back and we headed over to FL and TL. The boys wanted to ride Astro Orbitor and everyone wanted to ride Buzz. We made a pit stop along the way and saw IASW and Pooh. Pooh was only a 15 minute wait.
After TL and FL we head back over to Frontierland to use our MAgic FP from the other night. THe wait for BTMRR was only 10 minutes so we hopped on that and then we rode Splash for the first time this trip. Everyone got wet, Jimmy and I got SOAKED
Everyone, bu Jimmy and I wanted to ride BTMRR again (only a 10 minute wait now) so Jimmy and I went over to the rocking chair area and hung out while they all went on the ride (Come to find out later that he didn't like the bats part
)
After their run BTMRR it is getting close to closing time but we had time for one more ride. THe little one's all wanted to ride Aladdin and I took ANdrew on Pirates. We met up afterwards and Wishes was starting so we found a little sitting area right across from Aloha Isle to wait for Wishes to be over so we didn't have to fight the crowd on Main Street. We just chilled, Jim went and got us all drinks and after Wishes was over we headed to Main Street.
I am sure we stopped and got something in the Emporium, probably a Power Ranger but we were on a bus and back at Pop in no time. Washed up, in bed, and asleep in record time.
Tomorrow - Giving DHS another shot!
