Well, we are about to take off on another Happy Travelers adventure on Sunday morning! We are headed back to Disney World for another week with my other man, Mickey. I was very sad Tuesday evening when Chip came home from work to tell me that he had decided to stay home on this trip...stupid economy! I understood, said I would cancel the trip...but he didn't want us to.
So I made the changes with a heavy heart (I don't like to be without him for very long and we've never been to Disney without Daddy). The next evening while he was out for a meeting at the fire department, the girls and I dreamed up a great idea. You know that book, <em></em>Flat Stanley<em></em>? Well, we made a big Flat Daddy that we have decided will travel with us and we will photograph him in all kinds of fun and interesting places. This will give us a sense of adventure and hopefully provide some comic relief to the situation. I will take a picture of Flat Daddy tomorrow and post it so you can meet him. He's not nearly as good as the real thing, but he's pretty cute, if I say so myself.
The girls have most of their clothes packed; we're trying to get by with just carryons this trip as we are staying in a 1 bedroom villa at the Saratoga Springs Resort and will have a washer and dryer. I think we just may be able to to pull it off! I'm excited to make this first trip as official Disney Vacation Club owners...I feel "legit"!
So we take off out of Islip on Sunday morning about 8:30 and by my estimation, we'll be walking in to check into the resort around 12:30. Looking forward to escaping the cold weather, feeling that Florida sun on my face, and enjoying some un-interrupted time with the girls. Stay tuned for all of our adventures with Flat Daddy! I promise I will do a better job of blogging this trip...I won't have to worry about frozen fingers!
