I'm glad you liked POP as much as we did! Granted, I didn't have anything to compare it to, but we had the time of our LIVES at POP. Really great resort. Who needs frills when you wake up to giant disney characters?

Aaahhh I actually have that phone, and all thanks to POP (and my wonderful sister.) ! When I got home from my first trip and was showing the pics of POP to my sister, I showed her the giant mickey phone icon and she gasped. I was like, "what?!" She quickly said, "Nothing," and made me move on.
2 days later she comes home holding the mickey phone and says, "This was at the antique novelty store and I figured you might want it to remember your trip...plus it must be worth something if there's a giant statue in disney for it!"

Anyway, great update. I loved reminiscing through your pics.

Glad you liked Pop too! I think frills are nice if you are going to be there long enough or have enough downtime to take advantage of them. This trip a value just made sense since we were running morning til night!

Nice pictures. Pop really is a very fin resort. I've always enjoyed it, but I'll admit I'm a little Pop-ed out since we stayed there 3 or 4 times in a row and I'm having a blast going to other resorts again.

Excited to see what characters you guys see at D23.

Thank you! There are so many great resort choices it is a lot of fun to try a variety! One reason we enjoy dining at the various resorts is the opportunity to check them all out!

And thanks for the warning about the hairdryers. I've never stayed at Pop, but if I ever do, I will definitely be packig my own. I have long hair so bad hairdryers just won't do. There's nothing worse than leaving for the parks in the morning with my hair only half dry! Because then it gets all frizzy and looks stupid in pictures.

Great pictures around Pop! Jasmine and I stayed there in August 2006....our first trip with free dining!! We were in the Lady building with the bowling pin pool....great memories!!!

Could Caitlin be any cuter....I don't think so!!! She always brings a smile to my face....adorable!!!

Besides all the things you list, it's a newer resort and definitely still feels it.
It also doesn't tend to fill up with all of the touring groups that invade the All Stars...

The resort does still have a "new" feel and it really surprised me that the rooms were getting redone because IMO it didn't need it quite yet (although our room did need a new tv) but I'm glad it's being done before it looks like it needs it!

This was my second stay at Pop and I have to say I really love this resort!

So there you have it! We love Pop and look forward to staying there again!

Our first Pop stay was in the Big Wheel building. We've stayed in every decade since then and have repeated some. We have only made a request one time - when we were there for my 50th birthday we requested a 50's building and got an excellent location. We were ground floor by the pool, right under the dancers on the left if you are looking from the pool toward the jukebox.

We will probably request a refurbished room this time, but it doesn't matter where it is. That's part of the fun of a trip - seeing where we will be.

We love Pop, too, but we're very excited about the Animation Suites. It'll be interesting to watch those being built over the next couple of years.

How fun to celebrate your 50's in a 50's room! We've stayed in 50's and 70's and liked both areas. I think we'll try for 60's in August.

The Animation Suites should be a lot of fun! I'm sure they'll be very popular! I personally am looking forward to staying in the Little Mermaid area
