What is the very first thing you're planning on doing during your next trip to Disney World?

Check in the resort and head straight to MK! There is just something about walking down Main Street USA and seeing the castle....

Seeing the Voices of Liberty this Sunday (or stopping at a Food Fest booth on the way there).

first day: check in, bus to DTD, lunch at RFC, shop at WoD - then to sleep early for the next full day!!

We arrive late morning so after we drop off our stuff at POP we are heading to MK to CHH for lunch and then to the Haunted Mansion, I don't care if we wait in line all afternoon I want to do that first :thumbsup2

Swimming at Stormalong Bay! We've never stayed at Beach Club before and are eager to check it out.

Oh, you will  it!!! My kids gripe about staying anywhere else!! It's their favorite hotel/pool!!

We'll be checking into the BCV, dropping 'stuff' and going straight to EPCOT. I'll try for FPs at Soarin' (it's a longshot from what I hear, since we won't get there 'til 4:30), then to the tree lighting. Then we'll head over to the Coral Reef for dinner as I have a big surprise planned for our group. After dinner we'll watch Illuminations and then walk the Boardwalk to see performers and show the "newbies" some of the shops. Then we'll head back to the Beach Club for a night of sleep to get ready for a full day at MGM the next day!!

Arriving in the afternoon on October 19th. Checking in at the Beach Club and then heading straight to MGM for dinner at the Prime Time Cafe(after a few cocktails at the bar naturally:banana: ). Then it's over to Fantasmic and followed by a hop to MK to ride the Haunted Mansion(The park is open late that night!) Should be a great first night......

Get to MK in time for Rope Drop, cry unashamedly on Main Street, and then get in line for Haunted Mansion.

as hard as this is to believe, or like it's even possible, but the first thing we're doing after checking in is taking a nap! We are getting up at 4:00am to get to the airport by 5:00am for a 7:00 flight. We plan on being at MGM by 2:00 and staying all day/night (this is the 30th), with special priority seating for Fantasmic. Now, whether or not we actaully can sleep, that's another question!

so.....other than a nap...the first thing we're doing at MGM is heading to ToT.

head straight to MK...love my first glimpse of Main St. & the castle, plus I must see the refurbed HM :hmghost: (my fave) and 9 yr old nephew on 1st trip can't wait to try Splash!

Weon't really plan it this way, but the first attraction we usually hit is Maelstrom, and the last is often Peter Pan. This past trip it was Test Track, I was just secretly praying that the ride didn't get stuck as we had to go back to the resort to catch ME after that.

After checking in at the POFQ it is off to the MK to see Spectro and Wishes. Since Tony's will be closed for refurbing during our trip (Jan 12th to 20th '08) any suggestions where we should eat dinner? I have a bunch of ADR's for the rest of the trip so CS is probably the best for our first evening. Any thoughts?

TIA, Suz

I plan on checking out our hotel if I'm honest. I've never stayed at AllSp before now and it's my DBF's first trip so I think it's our best bet to get more used to our hotel and the way around it etc.

THEN, I'm stuck...me having been before, just wants to head straight to the MK! BUT, will this not be too much for DBF on his 1st day there? I'm so undecided about it! Wondering if to head for a different park this day? We have hoppers but I really don't want to spoil him too much on his 1st day ;)

What do my fellow DIS'ers think?

If you mean our first day there, we spend the afternoon/evening enjoying the resort and resting up for our busy week ahead!

As for parks, this time Epcot will be our first stop, and we'll head to Soarin', since we haven't been to WDW since it opened.
