Hard to say, since he tried to fire his atty just 3 days prior to the trial. His atty said he got food poisoning. He sat down at the table and was drinking a lot of water. Then he got up and left. I think he is terrified as he knows he is going to be found guilty and going back to jail. Just my HO.

I think you're right, I'm surprised more defendants don't end up doing the same to escape the stress of it all.

They all keep trying. Bob Bashara has been trying to get a new trial for a year now. He keeps getting things delayed. It is so stupid. He now is getting the guy who said he killed his wife to testify at the hearing. I think it is in April or May.

Good morning. Trial for Batey starts this morning. Only will last a week. The stream is doing commentary and they are going for a new strategy. Still isn't going to get him out of jail.

State received an email last night saying this medical expert is changing his report from first trial #VandyRetrial

Once we're done with these motions the jury will be brought in and charged. That will take about 40min then opening statements #Vandyretrial
