The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

Hi everyone! Hope I'm not in any danger of having my pineapple revoked as I've been away for so long.

Life has been a bit hectic lately and something just had to go. Unfortunately it was my Dis' time, but I should be having more free time again now. Work has been stressful lately. Last week they laid off 20 people in my office/200 people nationwide. Very scary. Luckily my department didn't lose anyone, but the moral at work is really low.

I've been back on my diet for two weeks now. I lost 10 lbs the first week, and a half lb this week. I blame the Super Bowl party I went to on Sunday. Still I'm happy with the results. I can really feel the difference already. I stayed over at my brother's house after the party, and loved having my nieces wake me up in the morning. Luckily they don't realize how loud they were when they were planning to pounce on me, so I had some time to prepare myself before they pole vaulted onto my bed. I just didn't let them know I was already awake.;)

Trixie, your photos are making me so home-sick for Disney. I'm almost wishing I had booked at AKL for next year. December is seeming so far away.
Crissy!! I have missed you so much!! I am glad that you are good, how cute about your neices. I am eagerly awaiting your PTR. :rolleyes1

Trixie- Sounds like a really normal first trip so far with how this are going and everyone's reactions to things. I hope you'll continue writing about your adventure.

Wings! OMG....I thought you got stuck on a commuter train for a month. I got worried when you weren't even posting on Facebook.

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know I have been here and lurking my way through the thread. DS is on the mend and doing much better, eating everything in sight today, so that's a good sign.

Trixie, I love hearing about your trip so please feel free to keep posting.

And Wings! Glad to see you back and congrats on the weight loss. Good for you. :goodvibes

Here's some pics that could have gone with my "Mini Report for the Lapuettes" Day 1. I don't post pics of me or my family, please forgive the crop job. I always wonder if the other people who don't post pics are either famous or ugly. :rotfl2: Are you wondering about me right now? :lmao:

Crissy!! I have missed you so much!! I am glad that you are good, how cute about your neices. I am eagerly awaiting your PTR. :rolleyes1

I came up with a title (finally!). As soon as I can get to sit down and start it I'll be all set. :)

Wings! OMG....I thought you got stuck on a commuter train for a month. I got worried when you weren't even posting on Facebook.

I've been so buried. It's just sapped all my energy. Taking yesterday off really helped. I feel a bit revitalized again.

I don't even want to gear myself up to check on how many Facebook requests are waiting for me.

And Wings! Glad to see you back and congrats on the weight loss. Good for you. :goodvibes

Thanks. I feel very committed this time. I'm actually doing it right, and not trying to do a "quick fix". I'm back on the e-diets plan which worked really well for me the last time. Lots of food, and I still lose.

Hey Gang!!!! More snow today in Cincy!!! Is it SUMMER yet?!?!?!?!

Trixie---thanks for the update on your first day---sounds like it was a great way to start!!! I'm sorry Park Fare didn't turn out as well for you all---I have a feeling your enjoyment of the Stepfamily depends on the actresses portraying them that day. When we went in November 2007, they were a RIOT!!! Looking so forward to hearing all about the rest of your trip!

If anyone is interested.....PBK posted on her wedding blog on 1/22

Greetings from Port Orleans Riverside, y'all!

DH had to check his email (he's in a national graphic design contest and is anxious for results of the judging!) so here I am DISing from the World! I needed an evening break at 'home' so I sent him off with our son for sushi at the Poly- unfortunately he just texted me that he's had better in Nashville at our local Mom and Pop place- I guess that's a good thing since we can get the stuff at home anytime we want!

But I digress.

We're having a GREAT time and I have tons of pics and such to share- we're here till Sunday and I've already taken 1,100 photos!

And let me say this... I am SO grateful to have found the DIS and all the info here before this trip. Talk about invaluable!

Trixie -- I got all teary-eyed reading about DD's reaction to Tink -- that's the kind of moment that makes all the planning we do so worth it, isn't it? Please continue writing about your trip!!!

Crissy!!! I am so glad you are back! I missed you! :grouphug:

Lara, I so wish I was you right now!!! :goodvibes

Trixie, I am enjoying your tr very much. AKL looks amazing. My dd loves looking at your animal pictures especially the giraffes.

Megans Mom, I wish it would snow here more and inch at a time. If it is going to be this cold I would like snow to look at. I am so tied of looking at brown grass.

Lara, glad to hear you are having a great time. Looking forward to your tr with all your pictures.

To the rest of the Lapuettes I hope you are having a Wonderful Wednesday!!!! :wave2:

YEAH!!! I am so glad that Lara posted a little tidbit for us!!! Sounds like they are having a wonderful time---so glad for them!

Poohsmate---I know what you mean about the occasional dustings---that was all we were getting until last week. Megan kept getting upset because we weren't getting any snow that she could play in---let us just say that she has more than she knows what to do with now!!! If I could, I would bag some up and ship it to you!!!!

Speaking of snow, we got more yesterday, giving Megan another snow day today---let me tell you, the girl is SERIOUSLY missing her preschool days!!! I am hoping that we can stay free from more snow until after Friday--she gets to be snack helper on Friday, and that is the HIGHLIGHT of those little preschoolers' lives!!! ;o)

Since we have had so much snow, I have had WAY too much time on my hands to think and dream about our trip for September. Even though we still have no dates or reservations or park hours or anything concrete whatsoever, I spent my morning creating a tentative ADR list!!!! I know---so many shades of crazy, right?!?!?! It is a long list, but everything is always so tempting!!! I do think that next weekend we will be able to decide on exactly what we are going to do---Tom is almost done with our taxes, and he gets his annual bonus next week---once we have those figures hammered out, it will help us decide where, when, and for how long. Keep those fingers crossed ladies that everything is good!!!! But you also know what that means---once the trip is booked the PTR BEGINS!!!!! :o) It is going to be a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY for us for sure!!!!

Hey guys. I'm not going to be on that much for the next couple of days. DH has a huge amount of mandatory overtime (a big job came in) at work, so he won't be home until after 800 for the rest of the week.

Oh, yeah, and they asked him to work Saturday.

Our son's fourth birthday.

Color me frustrated. I'm hoping they'll be able to get everything done and he won't have to go in, especially since I took the day off. Ah well. Our family party is on Sunday, and I ran around today getting prepared for that after work. I have a few last minute items, and we're good to go.

DS asked for a monster party, so I'm making his cake, decor, all themed towards monsters / Monsters Inc.

And to ice the cake so to speak, DH and I have both come down with what DS had. So we're tired, working a lot, and sick. Fun is in the TK household.

Lara, so great to hear from you from the World!

I hope everyone else has a much less hectic, healthier week than we are! :goodvibes

Ugghhh, sorry to hear that Megan missed out on school again today. It was something crazy like 16 degrees when we got up this morning, but all we got was some swirling snowflakes that looked pretty, but didn't stick. Sigh. I am over wishing for snow -- I just want warm weather again.

Can't wait for you to start a PTR, Jen! That will be the icing on my cake of PTRs!!! :goodvibes

What a crazy week for you, TK! :grouphug: Sorry to hear that DH will be at work on Saturday -- that stinks! On the other hand, the Monsters b-day sounds super cute! Will you take pictures of all the decorations and cake for us? Hope you feel better soon!

I can not wait for your ptr to begin. I really enjoyed your last one.

Sure, I'll take pictures for you! I can't take all the credit, some designs are my own, but some I got from idea sites on the internet.

I've actually made my own label / stickers with Mike and Sully, and then one with just Boo (dressed as a monster of course) and then I'm going to attach these to our plastic cups. I've made a few signs for around the house, as well. It's actually been fun.

Hey, I just thought to tell you, I've been going nuts over the Douglas Preston / Lincoln Child novels. Nuts! I love Special Agent Pendergast. Amazing. And also, my library just got in the 3rd and 4th Sookie books for me, so I'll be able to tell you pretty soon what I think of those. :thumbsup2

That is such a great idea to do the labels!!! I will have to remember that -- I usually just write names on the cups with sharpies!

Aren't they great!?!? I love Agent Pendergast, too! I had an actor picked out for movie versions, but now I can't remember who it was. I shall have to think about that. I really need to read the latest one -- Wheel of Darkness -- some of those were so gruesome though -- gave me the heeby-jeebies.

I still need to track down a copy of From Dead to Worse on the Sookie books.
