The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

I remember that actually -- it was a sad day for all of us vamp lovers!

See, I was unaware of it. I put aside her vampire books for quite a while, for no particular reason really, just that life got in the way. I've just started reading voraciously again recently, and I am so in love with my library.

There is nothing like the feeling of walking out of your library with a stack full of books in your hands, just waiting to be read. :sigh:

I am super excited. I can't even tell you how thrilled I am!

It is so the little things in life, ya know? ;)

It really is. Like the fact that my Disney Calendar has a picture from Meet the Robinsons today. It thrills me to flip my calendar every morning.

I have to say that I am reading The Masque of the Black Tulip and I am having a hard time staying interested. I like it, but it's moving too slowly or something.

Who's the author?

Lauren Willig. It's a series that CP recommended. The first one was The Secret History of the Pink Carnation. That one, I couldn't put down. I also think my lack of reading is a product of dealing with moving, signing leases, car repairs and everything else. I have been escaping by watching One Tree Hill. :rotfl2:

That's one of my favorite things to do. Not to mention that I can walk out of a building with a huge stack of books for free. :thumbsup2

I need a Disney calendar. Maybe I will go look on amazon.

I think it does move slower than the first one, but it does pick up. How far along are you?

I'll have to put that one on my list of books to read then. It's really a mental list, but you know. I'm always open to new authors.

Don't worry. Moving is stressful, but you'll be so much happier in the end. :goodvibes

I've gotten two more by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, but I need to be in the right mood for those. I love them, but they're so information heavy, I need to be able to focus. :lmao:

Have you read the Sookie books out of order? And does it matter? I've read the first two, but the third wasn't available so I've got one later in the series.

They've just arrived at Richard & Amy Selwick's. It is starting to pick up.

They are really good, TK. The first one was so great.

I read the Sookie books all out of order and it was fine. Did you like the second one any better?

Hurray! :cheer2:

Sort, of, but probably only in the sense that I was more familiar with the characters. I still feel like the writing can be a little gratuitous at times.

Good afternoon ladies. Sorry I haven't been around much. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I had a relly bad week last week and this week isn't looking any better. I do try to get on and read my threads but I don't have time to comment.

Hang in there TK. I found that from the third one on they were alot better.

Hon, I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time right now. :hugs:

Please feel free to PM me if you need someone to talk to.

I'm going to check at a different library tomorrow while DS is in preschool and see if they have the third there so I can go in sequence. If not, I think I'll be going out of order, since they don't have the third or fourth at my local library.

TK---thanks for all that help with the AP---I think for now I will just try to focus on regular tickets, and then probably bump them up to an AP when we get there.

Well, you could certainly do that. And who knows, maybe when you get there, you'll find a bounceback for the dates you want in the summer? You could probably make a better decision then.

I'm one of those who knows what life will bring in a year people, so annual passes right now sort of scare me because of how much cash you lay out up front.

I agree---about putting the money all out up front!!! I will hopefully know more about the possibility of the June trip once we get there in September, and depending on what we might find in our room in the ways of future discounts, we will have a REALLY good understanding what to do with the tickets!

Now are you and your DH thinking of using the 40% off code for September?

Thanks, TK. I know it will get better. January is always a hard month for me. You know the whole not much sun thing and I am really tired of the cold.
Plus I am just so tiered of Laxi and the whole potty training deal. Plus I will most likely be losing my job at the end of Feb. Things are so tight right and sometimes I worry if we will make it. If we can just hang in there until we get our tax return it will be better. I am not at the point of canceling our trip because it is still aways off but sometimes I get alittle discouraged and wonder if we will ever make it. Anyways sorry to go on but thanks for listening.

Oh, honey. I'm happy to listen to you any time you need it. I know how you feel. It's that lack of sunshine so dang cold outside why isn't it spring yet mentality. Don't worry though, it's almost the end of January, we're on our way to greener pastures, I promise!

And potty traning can be exhausting. I know you're supposed to maintain consistency, but don't push yourself or her too hard. You'll only end up frustrated. I swear, one day it will just click for her and your angst will be a distant memory.

As far as the job thing, obviously none of us have control over that. And it's not fun. But we're hear to listen and offer whatever support we can to you to see you through, that's for sure.

We are still debating on that one---the numbers are all so close on renting, free dining (if they do it), and the 40% off code. We are also waiting to see our numbers from our tax refund and Tom's annual bonuses that come out in February.
