The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

Thanks, TK!!! :goodvibes

Heidi, I am so happy that Liam is making progress! Is DH saying the words with the signs yet?

LL, I was just thinking about Crissy earlier today. Has she been on FB at all?
I think Liam is progressing quicker than John! :rotfl2: Liam was totally doing the sign for "more" yesterday. Both for me to blow more bubbles and for more apple juice at Chili's last night at dinner.

It's been emotional! :rotfl2:

We took our car in to be checked over by my Dad's mechanic, he told us we needed tires so badly that he wasn't going to let us leave with them on our car. Which is ironic because our car was just inspected on Thursday and they passed.

You have to wonder about someone that would pass a car with such bad tires....hope your brakes are OK.

I know how you feel. I normally like to make my appointments for Tuesday, while DS is in preschool, but the hair salon I go to could only fit me in for a trim on Monday. Normally Monday is pajama day, so it just sort of throws a kink in our regular routine. That being said, having my hair cut sounds more fun then weekend chores. :lmao: I am in desperate need, my bangs are too long, my hair is too long, and it's taking too long to blow dry in the morning.

I'm debating leaving it long enough to put it in a ponytail, or chopping it off and having a bob style I've had in the past. Decisions, decisions.

I was just thinking how Chelsea, Connor, and I all need haircuts! I think I am going to get my chin length -- it's too long and all I do is put it in a ponytail.

That's super that Liam is communicating so well!!!

Brakes are good, the mechanic said I would need pads in approx. 4 months so that's no biggie to budget for. My Dad made sure he looked at everything on there so I feel safe now. :thumbsup2

I just have to brag about the clothes bargains that I got at Carter's yesterday for the kids because I'm so excited. I got 21 items for $70.50! And my MIL give me $20 towards it to boot :cool1: The cheapest stuff were shirts for baby girl for $1.59 each and I got her a dress for $1.59!! The most expensive thing was a pair of jeans for Liam at $8.00. (I always get him a pair of jeans and size 24 months is hard to come by so I snagged them.)

Woo hoo! Clothes bargains are the best!!! I am looking forward to the summer stuff coming out soon so I can start getting stuff for June -- it's the only time I really like shopping for clothes -- when it is clothes for WDW.

I so need a hair cut and color.....I'm going to ask the doctor on Wednesday if I can color it....the 4 inches of roots is killing me. If I get the OK I'll probably do it myself....can't afford $80 for color at the salon.

I so wanted to get Liam new swim trunks and rash guard yesterday for the summer but they were only 30% off. I waited to long last year and didn't have much of a selection. Maybe he'll fit into the trunks I got for Florida....he's getting longer in the arms and legs but he's still skinny.

I'm so glad to hear the sign language is helping.

I've actually started cutting DS hair myself. I gave him a super cute cut the time before last. Just adorable. This time, I tried to do layers, it doesn't look bad but it's a bit uneven. Nothing terribly noticeable though, and certainly better than some of the hair cuts we've paid for. I swear if I could cut my own, I would. I hate spending the money on it. :lmao:

That is fantastic! $1.59!!! I'm impressed.

Good morning, Lapuettes!

I hope everyone have a great weekend. I'm off to get ready for the day. No pajamas for us today, we're heading out, and it's COLD!!! Before my haircut I'm hoping to take DS to the playscape in the mall and let him burn off some steam. Get out some of that little boy energy.

And although I've been VERY good this month budgetwise, as in, I have spent absolutely nothing on extras, I think today I'll get him a Happy Meal from McDonald's for lunch. We're nearing the end of the month, and I do have a bit of extra money in my budget and I'm happy that I was so good about it.

Ask me how excited I am that if I can make that extra money last it's all going towards paying down DH's student loan? :yay: And, we paid off my smallest loan this past week, so all my student loans are done.

Man, does that feel good. Now our last thing is his loan, and we'll be debt free. I so wanted to be debt free before I hit my next birthday, but I don't know if it'll happen. I think we can get pretty close, but then of course, most likely one of us will need a new car. And thus begins the cycle all over again. :lmao:

What are everyone's plans for today? :goodvibes

Congrats TK on paying off your student loan!

Liam and I are off to Tumbly Bugs gymnastics class this morning. Should be interesting!

TK, good job on paying off your last student loan and being so good with money this month.

Have fun at the mall, McDonald's, and getting your haircut.

My plans for the day -- trying not to be in the foul mood that I woke up in. Having one day off really BITES! When my alarm clock went off this morning, my mind and body thought I had accidentally set the alarm and it was really still the weekend. Talk about a cruel awakening. ;)

Thanks. :goodvibes It was a smaller balance, but it still feels good!

Oh, I would love to see that. I hope you both have a good time.

I'm hoping it's a habit I'll keep throughout the year, being good with the budget. I've gotten better at planning meals, our grocery shopping, it's all a progression. And at times, it stinks to be responsible, but at the same time, I know it's for the best.

Have fun at the mall, McDonald's, and getting your haircut.

Thanks!

That is a bummer! I hope your day is fantastic, and your students are wonderful, and that nothing goes wrong. Have a Disney day! ;)

Good Morning everyone. I think this weekend went by way too fast. :sad2:

I totally agree. I got some reading done though, which is nice. Finished Christ the Lord Out of Egypt and Christ the Lord the Road to Cana. Both by Anne Rice, they were excellent. I can't recommend them highly enough, even if you're not religious, it's a wonderful, wonderful story line.

I'll have to remember those titles, TK.

I switched my desk around so now I can be on the DIS while the kids work on classwork. Woo hoo!!! :cheer2:
