The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

You TRULY crack me up!!! :rotfl2: I can just see you walking into your classroom one morning with your ponytail, khakis, and your mega diamond bracelets!!! You would look simply DIVINE DAHLING!!!! I am sure the kiddos might think you had slipped a little off your rocker, but you GO FOR IT! Yesterday was so much fun to watch---I love all the history and the pomp and circumstance of something like an Inaugural!!! It's a shame sometimes that we only get them once every four years! I bet they are EXTREMELY exhausted today---they were going non-stop!

Good Morning Girlies!!! I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!! We had some exciting news yesterday---Tom's younger brother who is a police officer for a local department saved three people (a Mom and her two kids) and the family dog from a house fire yesterday morning. He was the first to the scene, and helped them climb out and down from a second story bedroom to safety. We are all so proud of him---everyone is okay too--no one got hurt! It was SUCH a good day for us yesterday!

Congrats to your bil. Glad to hear everybody got out safely.

Diamonds go with everything, right? Even khakis? :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

My students already think I am a bit "off" so they wouldn't be surprised. Yesterday I wore what I termed "Welcome New President." Fancy black dress pants, heels, and a purple top. I accessorized with my pearls, Vera Wang black hairband, and my long black dress coat. :rotfl: Today I am wearing what I like to call "presidential casual" -- black skirt, heeled Mary Janes, and a blue top. I am accessorizing with a blue scarab Egyptian bracelet and Asian looking blue and green necklace. My hair is loose and down. :lmao:

Tomorrow is blue jean day so I will be back to my normal tennis shoe and ponytail self.

It was so neat to watch it all. Chelsea and Connor loved that Malia and Sasha were having a sleepover, scavenger hunt, and watching HSM3 and Bolt while their parents were attending the balls.

Thanks you guys!!! He is really humble about it all, but we can't help being a little proud!!! :goodvibes I am just so glad that everyone got out okay!!!

Oh Jackie---you FASHIONISTA YOU!!!! Even though we of course can't see the outfits, I am imagining you look very regal and of course, PRESIDENTIAL!!! You are making me feel very badly that my daily wardrobe consists of jeans---I do occasionally jazz it up with my tops and accessories---but alas, it is always jeans! I used to try to dress it up a bit when I was teaching, but those clothes have quickly faded from my closet over the last five years. Whenever I do go back, boy will I have some shopping to do!

I thought that sounded like such a wonderfully fun thing to do the first night in the "house" for them!!! I bet they had a blast! I wish I could have gone!!! :)

That is soooo awesome!!! You must be sooo proud! :goodvibes

We are very proud---he is very humble, so doesn't want to much fuss, but it made me so proud to say he is my BIL!!!

Oh, it's going to be short-lived -- I am such a casual person by nature that two days and I am ready for jean day tomorrow. ;)

Jen, that's awesome about your bil!

Okay, guys, I just had to weigh in with my cute Oliver and Company story. It's twofold. One, is that I specifically remember my mom talking me to see it in this really awesome old theater in New York City. We must have been there for the weekend. To this day, I can still picture that theater in my head.

Therefore, I loved Oliver, and had an adorable plush. As a matter of fact, I still do. See Oliver was my favorite when I was eight and had my appendix out. And I went to a hospital specifically for children, they were so great there. So I got my appendix out, and Oliver did too. He still has the bandages to prove it. ;) :goodvibes

That's a really cute story TK! Well, two stories really. :rotfl:

I always wanted an orange kitty named Oliver. When I went to pick up Sulley he was the last kitty and I was hoping he would be orange and he was, complete with blue eyes. The lady who had him told me nobody wanted him because he was orange! How absurd. Once I brought him home he just wasn't an Oliver, so he became Sulley instead.

I am so going to watch Oliver & Company tonight. :rotfl:

Aww...I would say you should get another cat to name Oliver, but I think you've got your hands full with the two of them! :lmao:

Morning, all!

:cheer2: banking! :lmao:

Hope everyone has a sparkling Thursday! And if not, just pretend. Channel your inner Main Street USA. Savvy? pirate: (Personally, I think I'll be channeling my inner Adventureland. Dole Whip, Pirate Tutorial...does it get much better?)

Good Morning Lapuettes.

No more kitties for me. I think the two at a time rule is perfect. :rotfl:

I did watch some of Oliver & Company before I went to bed last night, I forgot how wonderful it is. :thumbsup2

Wow, quiet around here today!

Anywho, I'm off to sunny WARM Florida tomorrow, and since I won't be able to post a LOLzen on Monday morning, I'm posting this one now because, well, it's just perfect for me!....

Have a safe and fun trip!!!!!!

I too am an Oliver and Company Lover...I so was in love with Dodger and I loved the songs...great memories..I was thinking of watching Narnia 2 (I haven't seen it and after meeting Prince Caspian I'm thinking I need to do that LOL) and now I'm having second thoughts and might watch my copy of Oliver and Co. instead!

We went through a little phase a while back where DS was watching Oliver and Co every day. So I'm re-familiarized with how darn cute it is.

Oh, I think that makes me feel old...

Had my annual review today, and I passed with flying colors! Yeay me! Maybe they will give me another contract for next year. :rotfl:

Congrats on your review CP!!! We knew you could do it!!!

TK--I am going to gather my notes/questions I have about APs and hit you up with them in another post---thanks for helping out!

I am up to my eyeballs in Lasagna---my girlfriends and I have decided to do a monthly dinner swap: We each make a dinner entree, multiply the recipe by however many are participating, prepare them, and put them in freezer-safe containers. Tonight we are going to get together, and then swap, so we each go home with 7 entrees already made and ready to serve when we need them. This is also giving us a good reason to get together, share some wine, and do some serious girl chit chatting!!! I make a pretty darn good lasagna, so I decided that would be my first swap!!! I have had to make 4 whole lasagnas in order to have enough for everyone, so THAT is why I am UP to my EYEBALLS in them!!! ;o)

Have a good day girlies!

Congratulations, Jackie! Of COURSE you passed with flying colors! I wish all my sons teachers had been Jackie clones!

Congrats on the great review CP! As a fellow teacher I know how stressful those can be!!

I was observed and reviewed before Christmas and everything when fine!!

Well once again congrats...and I'm wearing jeans and showing a video today...my kids are being spoiled they'd better not get used to it...Monday we're back to lecturing LOL

Ok TK---here are my AP questions:

1. We are going in September, and my parents have already said that they want the usual June family trip to be back to WDW in 2010, so we would be more than likely going in June 2010. These are the two really known trips--obviously with an AP, we may be tempted to go more. Let's say that we get the base ticket for both trips for 7 days without the hopper--is it worth it then? Keep in mind it would be Tom, myself, and Megs. What about hopping tickets for 7 days for the two trips---worth it then?

2. Can you get the dining plan when you have an AP? If you can't, why not?

3. I would not purchase an AP until I got to WDW---correct? So that I would have one full year from purchase??? Correct? So then would I not be able for free dining/package discounts?

4. What kind of AP rate discounts do they often run on rooms, and when are they traditionally?

I feel like there are more questions, but that will get us started! Thanks, Jen
