The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

UGH. 39. Ick.
BF and I were talking about moving to Arizona this weekend. Then he began dwelling on all the things out there that could kill him (he's deathly allergic to bees and other things that sting/have venom). ::sigh:: Looks like I'm still see another winter here in the NE.

And why was I not notified of the potential Arizona move? ;)

The Tinkerbellarella bathroom is various shades of blues, teals and sage green. As little as it is, it is very soothing.

That sounds nice. I prefer (at this point in my life) more color in the bathroom. I figure is DS has to spend a solid chunk of time getting a bath everynight, he should have fun colors to look at. :lmao:

Because the Tinkerbellarellas were planning on scooping up the TK's in the middle of the night and moving you with us.

Pirate.

pirate:

Oh, well then.

If you insist. :goodvibes

I would describe your bathroom as "warm".

Yes. Funny thing is, I used to have the light blue, sage green, cream bathroom ensemble going on, but I just got sick of it over time. I know, I know. But once we had DS, I wanted more color. :thumbsup2

It's funny there is all this bathroom decor talk, I have been searching for a new scheme for our new bathroom when we move. For the last two years we have an "asian" bathroom complete with shower curtain, chopsticks and buddhas all over the place. I am so sick of it! It needs to be retired for a bit.

Jen-
As a matter of fact we have started with a few signs. And Liam is showing that he is catching on a bit with them. It's something that I hope to do more of with them....I'm waiting on some materials from the first speech therapist we saw. The one problem I'm all ready having with it is my husband will do the sign but he doesn't say the word to go with it. :confused3

So glad to hear you have started with them---I think over time you will definitely feel a difference in both of your frustration levels!!! We started with the basics like "drink," "eat," "more," "please," etc., etc. She really caught on pretty quickly---she even made up a few of her own signs for things that we eventually figured out!! I laughed outloud when I read that your hubby was simply doing the sign---Tom did that at first too---I felt like he was the one in the house that it took the longest to get the whole signing thing in gear!!!! :rotfl: Good luck with all of that!!!

We aren't leaving until about 6 tomorrow night, so I have most of the day to deal with everything else. Then we're on our way!

It is now 5:58pm on my clock, so by my accounts, you are probably just about to leave-----------YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Ugh! That sounds awful.
Good for you! I am so very, very excited.

Might I recommend the end of September, early October? It's a lovely time to go. ;)

I think the end of September will definitely be in the running---we can't go the first week at all due to Tom's work, and since Meg's bday is the 29th, we might actually get to take advantage of the birthday promotion.........we will just have to wait and see!!!!!! I would be so excited if we got to meet even for a passing moment!

There must be something in our pineapples---I am currently in the process of working on my bathrooms' decors. The Master bath doesn't need new paint, but I would like to change out the shower curtain, paint the vanity, and get new fixtures. The hall bath only needs a new paint job on the vanity and I already have the new fixtures---just need to install them. The vanities we have are the basic light/medium oak variety---I am thinking about painting them both a darker brown/chocolate color. What do you girls think??? Paint or leave the wood look?

Glad to know it's a man thing with the silence signing to the hearing child! :rotfl2: I'd hate to think it was just mine.

I'd stain the vanity over painting it if it's of good quality. But I do like the idea of the dark brown color.....you can find lots of stuff these days that goes well with brown.

I know what you mean---I kept telling him to remember that we were using the sign to help her learn to SPEAK!!!! There was nothing at all wrong with her hearing!!! So funny those boys!!!

I would stain the vanity, but only the doors are made out of real wood. The rest is made out of that weird fiberboard/faux oak looking material. That was why I was thinking I would need to go with the painting---what do you think?

Yes you will have to paint then, the fiberboard will just soak the stain. Berh at Home Depot has to nice browns....Double Chocolate or Iced Espresso (I seem to pick colors that have food names! :lmao: )

Morning, Lapuettes! I was MIA yesterday as I was immersed in inauguration fun!!! I have a new goal -- I am going to be as stylish as Michelle Obama! I think I want to start with some of those great diamond bracelets she was wearing last night!

Good luck with that!

Good Morning Everyone.

I have the absolute cutest picture on my Disney calendar today. It's Oliver from Oliver & Company and he's a giant poofball of fur after he has gotten wet and dried. Super cute. I tried finding a picture online but I can't. But trust me, it's cute.

I remember that scene! :lmao:

I loved that movie -- I had the soundtrack because I loved the song Billy Joel sang (speaking of -- I bet you did, too, since you love Billy Joel!).

I believe that a combination of Oliver & Company and my love of the song "We Didn't Start the Fire" led to my love of Billy Joel. I remember being stuck inside for recess in first or second grade singing "We Didn't Start the Fire" and I knew ALL the words. I was cool like that. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I loved that song -- I knew all the words, too -- I believe I sang it in my head during an American history essay test one time. ;)

How sweet of your sister!

I hear it from time to time on the 80's or 90's channel (I can't remember what year it came out) on Sirius in my car.

You TRULY crack me up!!! :rotfl2: I can just see you walking into your classroom one morning with your ponytail, khakis, and your mega diamond bracelets!!! You would look simply DIVINE DAHLING!!!! I am sure the kiddos might think you had slipped a little off your rocker, but you GO FOR IT! Yesterday was so much fun to watch---I love all the history and the pomp and circumstance of something like an Inaugural!!! It's a shame sometimes that we only get them once every four years! I bet they are EXTREMELY exhausted today---they were going non-stop!

Good Morning Girlies!!! I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!! We had some exciting news yesterday---Tom's younger brother who is a police officer for a local department saved three people (a Mom and her two kids) and the family dog from a house fire yesterday morning. He was the first to the scene, and helped them climb out and down from a second story bedroom to safety. We are all so proud of him---everyone is okay too--no one got hurt! It was SUCH a good day for us yesterday!
